So, I just got a Razer Blade Pro 17 (late 2019) and everything's working honkey dorry. New drivers are installed and everything seems to be doing well. However, I have a small issue where, whenever I play sound on a lower volume (under 20/100) I'll get this slight hiss sound from my speakers. It seems to delay slightly whenever I stop playing the sound (I stop the sound and about half a second the hissing stops). At higher volumes it doesn't seem to be a problem (either that or I don't notice it?). Any help would be appreciated. No info online from what I've seen for this particular problem.

Hello, everyone. I'm building a virtual lab for fun and I'm running into some issues that I could use some help with. The Default Gateway to my Domain Controller keeps becoming unavailable within a server on the domain. It appears to drop when I try to access the internet from inside the server. I discovered the error when attempting to download chrome from internet explorer. Resetting the adapter resolves the problem temporarily, but if I try to do anything on the internet, say, install chrome, the internet will drop. I have static IPs on both the DC and the Server. Changing Bridge to NAT with the IP set via DHCP in the server itself restores access to the internet, but it appears the server needs to use a static IP if I want to use Windows admin center. However; when I switched back to Bridged, set the server to a Static IP and attempted to install a browser, the internet speeds dropped to the floor. Ultimately the downloads failed. The issue appears to be related to assign the Static IP and a preferred DNS to the server. Would anyone know what might be the issue? I would appreciate any assistance that is available. Thank you. PS: Included an image of an error found in Event Viewer and the status of my Virtual BOX Thank you all in advance. Hello everyone! I've been here a while, but only now did I want to ask a question. I have a PC with an i5 2400 and I was wondering if it is worth it to find a 3770K (Most powerful LGA1155 CPU) or a 2600K/2700K (Most powerful Sandy Bridge CPU) so that I can revive my build? I've been planning it for a while but I'm having trouble finding second opinions. Many thanks!

It would appear that the iPhone XR (launched Q4 2018) has managed to snag the title of the most sold smartphone in Q3 2019, putting it as the best-selling smartphone of fiscal quarter 2019 so far. The iPhone XR tops the short list of popular smartphones this year: iPhone XR Samsung Galaxy A10 Samsung Galaxy A50 Oppo A9 iPhone 11 Oppo A5s Samsung Galaxy A20 Oppo A5 Xiaomi Redmi A7 Huawei P30 Of note is that there are two iPhone models on this list. The successor to the XR, the iPhone 11, managed to snag 5th place. The explanation for the number of A Series of Galaxy devices is that Samsung discontinued their J Series of smartphones and dropped the prices of the A Series. This probably boosted public perception of the overall quality of Samsung Devices seeing as the J Series of smartphones were all of very poor quality. I find it extremely interesting that last years mid-range iPhone is still managing to top the sales charts so long after its successor. the iPhone 11 (which is only $50 more expensive) was released. The still impressive battery life, vibrant color options, vivid and bright LCD display, and impressive single shooter camera have managed to allow the iPhone XR to outperform every other handset to this day. Apple was extremely wise to retain the iPhone XR going into 2019. The massive success of these mid-range smartphones prove opinions echoed by Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech which suggest that the smartphone market does not demand innovation, it demands compromise. The iPhone XR and iPhone 11 are the embodiment of compromise, and they are making Apple a whole lot of money. A 64GB iPhone XR can still be purchased for $599, making it the cheapest phone Apple sells aside from the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus which start at $449 and $549 respectively for 64GB models. Hello everyone. I’m looking for advice to purchase a budget laptop for my parents this holiday season. Specific model number would be most helpful. My budget is no more than $400 dollars, and it will primarily be used for Office, browsing news and stock tips online, and for viewing pictures sent from their adult kids. No gaming besides card games, so no need for a dedicated GPU. Just looking for the best bang for the buck that will last multiple years. The trackpad doesn’t have to be spectacular, as I assume they’ll be using a mouse. This laptop will live in their home, and seldom be more than 10 feet from a charger. Should I be looking at AMD now? Or does Intel still reign supreme even at the lowest end? Lastly, if anyone has advice between leaving the bloatware on (for the most part) or installing a completely clean version of Windows, I’d appreciate the input. Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I don't know if this has been posted or not, search didn't find anythings but just in case here goes: I just installed PIA version 1.7 and it mentioned that they patched the CVE-2019-14899 security bug. Apparently it's a extremely bad bug; here is their site blog about it: https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/blog/2019/12/private-internet-access-updates-linux-desktop-client-to-prevent-against-cve-2019-14899/ Here's a quote from PIA about affected platforms: The official bulletin can be found here: https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2019-14899 They say that in addition to various Linux distros; FreeBSD, OpenBSD, MacOS, iOS, and Android are affected as well so please patch as soon as you can. Stay safe everyone!

Hello all. Canadian here. I'm eye'ing a build for the longest time and it includes adding an ultrawide monitor to an existing 1080p monitor. And, from PCPartPicker, there are two monitors that I see that I like: * Acer Predator X34 34.0" 3440x1440 120 Hz * Asus ROG SWIFT PG348Q 34.0" 3440x1440 100 Hz They fit the theme of my rig very well. However, I'm open to other options. Forget about the money, I'll see about it when time comes. So, what's the best 1440p ultrawide monitor out today in 2019? (all usage) Thanks.

Ok, I want to upgrade my GPU from a RX 580 to a Vega 56. My CPU is a Ryzen 5 2600 liquid cooled. My budget is no more than $270 and I would like to get a Cyber Monday/Black Friday deal. This is what I'm looking at right now https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-radeon-rx-vega-56-gv-rxvega56gaming-oc-8gd/p/N82E16814932030 It has a bad rap but with a new bios update it should be perfectly fine. GPU's right now are so complicated I don't know what to choose. Thank you in advance.

So, I updated windows and after I updated it every time I try to play a game that uses Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 2015-2019 x64 Minimum Runtime, it would try to download it and gives me the error that I am trying to use a network resource that is unavailable and I should try and find the folder that contains "vc_runtimeMinimum_x64.msi" I have went back to the earlier version of windows, before I updated it and the error is still here. I have contacted Microsoft and all they have done is update windows again to fix the "Corrupted files". It hasn't done shit. I have went to websites to download the 2015-2019 visual C++. It gives the same error. I have ran ReImage repair. Also hasn't done shit. What the fuck should I do. Games run if I continue to click cancel, but crash after 10 minutes of playing. Games for example are GTA 5 & Battlefield V

Hey guys, I'm trying to activate Windows Server 2016 Evaluation with a 2019 Datacenter ROK Key. The Server is a VM and I also added the parameter "SMBIOS.reflectHost TRUE" to it. So Windows should be able to see that the OS is running on HPE Hardware. The activation of the ROK-License should work and it already worked with the installation of Server 2019 Datacenter. I don't have a 2016 Key and the 2019 is not officially supported of the program that is supposed to run on this new server. I couldn't find any answer for it on the net. The question is now: Is it even possible to activate 2016 Evaluation with a 2019 ROK key? Or maybe it's another problem? Thanks a lot already

Hi peeps, Very quick one .... Is Windows Polaris a real OS that is going to be released? If so, Is it a new OS to replace Win10 or a OS for a different market? There is a lot of confusing info on the web ... some saying its a real OS, others saying that its a made up load of Pap, others saying that its purely for the mobile market & in competition to iOS & android ... Most dates that i have come across hint that its going to be released in early 2020 ( same time they prob discontinue support for Win 7 ? ) Is it Real? https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/what-is-windows-polaris/ of of the best reads ive found about it

Hey all! I'm planning to buy a blade to replace my old 2016 model, and I've decided on the 2070 Max-Q variant. There are 3 to choose, but only 2 come in white so I'm torn on what decision to make. One is an 8th gen 1080 model with a 144hz screen, and the other (for $100 more) is a 9th gen model with a 240hz screen. Does the 9th gen really perform that much better? Is 240hz a noticeable bump over 144hz? I don't know if it's worth the extra $100. Thank you!

After some research and watching tons of Linus' videos , I wanted to share a new build which in my opinion is a great deal you can get as in right now (August 2019). I went for an ALL-AMD build (Ryzen 5 2600 + Vega 56) but i also recommend the RTX 2060 for this build. In terms of gaming , it's capable of running most titles 1080p (as well as 1440p) high 60+fps.

Hey guys, as the title says I want to buy a new laptop an after a lot of research my go to is the GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q. Now the problem is that I don’t know much about laptops the only thing I know is that if we pick the gpu most of the components are gonna be towards the best performance of it so no worries there. So if you can help me with choosing the perfect laptop it would be awesome. My budget is up to $1200 US dollars. Thanks for the time and help.

So my GPU used to make a noise under heavy tasks (not during gaming but for things like real time rendering visualization), upon watching some videos I found out it was called coil whine but I didn't mind it. Well something interesting happened today, an electrician came to my house to fix a couple things and he noticed my outlet wasn't properly grounded, he went ahead to fix it. Out of curiosity, I went to check for the annoying noise... the coil whine was completely gone, I ran other benchmarks just to make sure... IT WAS GONE Just putting this out there in case someone has the same problem

Hey guys Just wanna start off by saying ive looked elsewhere for an answer to this question and unfortunatly none of them are even vaguely recent so i dont know how well they holdup in 2019. Anyway ive got a small lan party coming up and im taking my server pc as i really dont feel like taking my main pc the PanzerMaus. Now the server runs an i7 4770, 12gb DDR3 (obviously) and a Dell 9020 mobo in a h17 case but its the GPU that has me conflicted, my 2 most powerful spares are my 780 3gb founders and my windforce 770 4gb. Years ago the answer was easy but now with games using way more Vram im not so sure. Im starting to think the 770 4gb with a light oc may run our most intensive game better (latest Vermintide) on a 1920x1080p 60hz monitor while keeping alot cooler. What do you lot think? Cheers

Hi! I'm looking for help in this matter (apologies in advanced for my English, not my native language) Recently migrated a few VMs to a different host running Windows Server 2019... I set up VSS (24 hours, 8 RP) and replication to another host running Windows Server 2019. The thing is I'm getting this weird errors on some of the VMs Hyper-V failed to generate VSS snapshot set for virtual machine 'SRV-XXX': This operation returned because the timeout period expired. (0x800705B4). VSS snapshot set generation can fail if backup operation is in progress. (Virtual machine ID 180E42ED-058D-46DB-A5A2-8E91342A6F5A) And, on a particular VM - Windows Server 2012 r2 (which is a FS and we have shadow copies set up) I'm getting a few errors... one is that the VSS process hangs and the computer freezes (no explorer to interact or whatsoever, file sharing works tho) in this case I've to do a reboot and it will fix the error. Checking the logs I'm getting this error: Faulting application name: DPMRA.exe, version: 4.2.1603.0, time stamp: 0x59dcc367 Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 6.2.9200.22753, time stamp: 0x5ccba6bc Exception code: 0x809909c2 Fault offset: 0x000000000002c978 Faulting process id: 0x600 Faulting application start time: 0x01d5478d05a3c8d5 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Data Protection Manager\DPM\bin\DPMRA.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\KERNELBASE.dll Report Id: e488b324-b3e5-11e9-9442-00155d053204 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: . Things I've already tried: - deleted all the shadow copies on the server - reinstall DPM agent - disable Shadow Copies on the server did make a difference, but it's not an option May someone around can help me out Thanks!"
