HI, I am planning to build an 1100 USD Ryzen build and conflict in many places. A) CPU 1600x + air cooler or 1600 with stock 1600x has higher speed while 1600 provides the stock cooler, saving the price for an aftermarket air cooler B) if air cooler which one? Budget ~40USD looked at cryoH7 and 212Evo opinions? Mobo will be a B350, not sure what but something affordable 16gb DDR4 RAM 2400 (8x2) 480 GB PNY SSD >> 6gb sata + 2tb seagate HDD Case: NZXT s340 C) GPU 1060 6gb or 1070 1060 has been what I've been looking at, because of the affordability to performance, while the 1070 would boost my FPS, and would make my build ~ 1100USD , right around my budget. PSU: EVGA 500w B1 >> is this enough?

Source: http://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2017/4/20/15355234/gopro-fusion-camera-360-spherical-sample-video Specs: 5.2K video at 30 frames per second “OverCapture” — Pulls full HD imagery out of the 5.2K recording sphere Looks like GoPro is finally getting into the 360-degree camera game, probably due to the success of the Gear 360 and the Nikon Key Mission. No word on price yet. Interestingly the article notes that GoPro went out of its way to avoid using the phrase "360-degree", I wonder if this means it won't be able to output the full 5.2k image? Edit: I brightened the teaser image in Photoshop and it looks like there's a standard GoPro mount on the bottom as well as 2 buttons on the right side, one of them being 'mode'.

I would appreciate it if anyone had suggestions on gaming and somewhat productivity(Premiere Pro) build for under £650.This is excluding peripherals.

I owned HP Omen 2016 gaming laptop for 4months now. For my video editing & FHD gaming, this machine performance is fair enough. As a gaming laptop, I really like its minimal & thin design and light weight. And I saw that the new version of this laptop has kabylake CPU and GTX 1050/1050Ti graphic card. Then I got this idea to replace my 2016 version to this. I need bits of advice on this matter. Is it okay to replace this or is there any laptop better than Omen in this price range? The big drop back is this doesn't have USB-C. I wish Omen has USB-C. Other than that I really like this thin quiet laptop.

How can I make this build better? $1000 price limit. Updated - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RmkYCy Update #1 The plan is to OC R7 1700 to 3.8-3.9 GHz RAM to 3200Mhz Update #2 I have a spare 2TB HDD for storage Update #3 RX580 8GB Update #4 Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1070 8GB

Do you think it's worth it to invest in a 2016 model (like S7, 3T, Axon 7 etc) now that the prices are somewhat lower? Or should we expect big improvments in 2017 phones (reasonably priced ones not the S8)?

So these two cpus are at a similar price and was wondering which will perform better? I was leaning towards the ryzen cpu as theres more cores and its slightly newer. I also checked on userbench and the intel cpu scored higher. Is this because the ryzen chips arent as optimized? Am I better off just getting a i5?

2017 CaseMOD Invitational Season 1 has started, here is one of the mods Chaipoj Khaowasut representing Thailand previously did, which I absolutely like! Seems like every "big" device is becoming smaller and smaller, while TV's are getting thinner and thinner. The future is awesome! http://community.thermaltake.com/index.php?/topic/63808-pre-event-predictions/

I have been wanting to upgrade my camera for a while. A long while. But I've been annoyed because it feels like you have to pay out the arse to get anything better than 1080p video. I have been looking into either getting a current gen camera or a refurbished/used last gen camera. I've though about refurbished BlackMagic Cinema cameras but because I'll be recording by myself I kind of like those flip out screens on the Canon DSLRs. Any suggestion for a really good 4K camera around $1000? I want some good color range. Just generally I want crisp, beautiful video to edit with.

1. Budget & Location $3200, Texas 2. Aim Gaming and Graphic Design. 3. Monitors Unsure. Budgeted separate, I'm between a x34 or a multi display set up. 4. Peripherals I need a mouse and keyboard, but they don't count against the budget. 5. Why are you upgrading? Replacing several year old, low end build. This will be my first "High-End" build and I'm having trouble not being a kid in a candy store. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/JRDPzM Thanks for any advice! Edit: Oh yeah and the plan is to later upgrade to 2 1080s.

Source: http://www.pcgamer.com/black-mesa-team-outlines-xen-levels-timeline-aims-for-summer-launch/ For those of you who don't know, Black Mesa is a fanmade/community project aiming to completely remake the entirety of Half-Life in the much newer Source engine, with revamped graphics, models, physics, SFX and environments. The developers have been working on this for many years now, and they have managed to revamp most of the game, but a key part has been missing: the climactic Xen chapters and the final boss fights. The community has been asking about these chapters for literally years now, anticipating the completion of the project. The devs have said time and time again that Xen is indeed coming and that redoing this part of the game is very, very challenging, but now for the first time we get an estimated date of completion for this project, when Half-Life, one of the greatest games ever, will have been overhauled and brought up to modern standards: summer of 2017. They also included pictures showing their plans for overhauling Xen: What do you think? Personally I can't wait for Black Mesa to be finished. The thought of having one of my favourite games of all times (and one of the greatest of all time) completely overhauled to 2016 standards of graphics, sound and modelling really excites me. Half-Life, as good as it is, really hasn't held up visually and I think that once Black Mesa is done it will introduce a new audience to the franchise, who were previously put off by it's 1998 graphics and engine. Now they just need to redo Half-Life 2

Hi All, So this will probably be my most detailed and most important post which I will post on here, ever. I feel like now is around a good time to be planning my most powerful and most expensive build which I will do since there is a lot of new GPU tech out recently which should last people a long time. I won't squish everything into one paragraph because it will scare people away so I will make this as eye/user-friendly as possible. Budget: €800-€1000 (Different variations from cheapest to max budget would be nice) My Location: Ireland (I don't mind paying for shipping once it's from the same company and they ship to Ireland) General System Requirements Needs to last me the next 5/6/7 years. I want all new parts, this computer will be looked after like a child and I do plan on keeping it for a long time to come. Would love a clean white build. Not sure if to go all white with all white LED's or have a hint of another color, which the GPU will probably have a color accent other than white anyway but if anyone has some cool ideas based on their part suggestions, please let me know! I want to look at this computer in 5 years time and still go say to myself; "F**k yeah, this is my PC". The build needs to be portable, I travel way too much than I like and would love to be able to carry this baby with me everywhere, ITX sounds like the way to go but if an M-ATX would be in a compact enough case, I think it would also be fine. Ssssssshhhhhhh, I love quietness, I don't want a helicopter <3 I prefer part quality over aesthetics so please don't put in a €100 case to the build. Keep the extra money where it needs to be. Part Requirements Motherboard will completely depend on whether you think ITX or M-ATX. Of course a Z motherboard if a K-series chip. Would love a fully modular PSU, custom-sleeved cables to match a color scheme. If going with overclocking, would love some water cooling. Storage is not a huge concern. 2TB would be plenty plus an SSD, 240GB would get me by. I mostly work on programming so files are not huge at all, few games installed, movies etc. This is a huge investment for me, I love computers, I use them 24/7 since my main job is computer related. It's also a huge amount of money for me BUT I do not plan on building this computer until Summer 2017, probably around July as I'll have some extra cash by then after the load that will be spent for XMAS >.< As always, please please know I am thankful for every reply I get and please when suggesting parts, explain why, as it's a good thing to understand why a part is being chosen over another <3

[ To be clear, this is my personal review of the GPU, thanks =) ] ## Overview The 600 Series of nVidia graphics cards were first released 2012, but the 650 released September 13, 2012. It has been marked as a "Mid-Range" GPU. My model is a Zotac GTX650 1GB GDDR5 version. ## Back-Story The prebuilt system I bought had a GTS450, so I decided to buy a GTX650 (1GB model because I am a derp) on eBay-kleinanzeigen.de for 55 EUR. The graphics card is paired with AMD Phenom 9750 X4 Quad-Core processor. I've had the graphics card for at least 6 months now. It has been performing great but for some reason, performance has dropped, for reasons unknown. ## Specifications ( Look here: https://www.zotac.com/us/product/graphics_card/gtx-650-0 ) Architecture: 600 Series (nVidia) CUDA cores: 384 Video Memory: 1024 (1GB) Memory Bus: 128 Engine Clock: 1071 Memory Clock: 5000 PCI Express: Yes Display Outputs Dual DVI (because DVI is lit fam), mini HDMI (I use a mini HDMI to Normal sized HDMI) HDCP Support: Yes Multi Display Capability: 4 Power Consumption: 64W Recommended Power Supply 400W (I have 750W for some reason) Power Input: Yes, 6pin, DirectX: DX11.1 SM5.1 OpenGL: 4.2 Cooling: active SLI: Sorry, nope. OSs Supported:Windows 10 / 8 / 7 / Vista / XP ## Benchmarks (Note: All of the following benchmarks we're ran in 1280x720) CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9750 Quad Core --- RAM: (4x2GB) 8GB DDR2 886MHz --- PSU: 750W Delta...? --- HDD: 650GB SATA Hard Drive Grand Theft Auto V (Low): 31FPS Counter Strike: Global Offensive (Low): 44FPS Cities: Skylines (Medium): 58FPS Team Fortress 2 (Medium - Unstable Game): 61FPS The Sims 4 (Low): 49FPS 3DMark Firemark: 2023 Score Unfortunately, some games can't run, and even if they do they crash: -PUBG -No Man's Sky (yeah nope) -Rise of the Tomb Raider -For Honor -Saints Row IV I've entered the #ROGRigReboot competition and the GPU and it's performance benchmarks have been shown here: ## Conclusion The GPU is fine but it's the CPU that also bottlenecks it. Some games are playable but some aren't. I would not recommend buying it, i would rather recommend a GTX 760 and GPUs with 2 or more GB of GDDR5 memory. As I've already said the performance is great for me at least because I still can't manage 60FPS in every game (sorry PCMR) but it'll do for now. I will leave some links to reviews of other GTX 650s! Thanks so much guys! This is my second post Happy to see positivity. ## Links // My #ROGRigReboot entry https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6C-NcwKBETc // FutureMark's GTX650 Review https://www.futuremark.com/hardware/gpu/NVIDIA+GeForce+GTX+650/review // expertReviews's Review http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/pcs/graphics-cards/52524/asus-gtx-650-e-review // bit-Tech's review https://www.bit-tech.net/reviews/tech/graphics/evga-geforce-gtx-650-1gb-review/1/ EDIT: Edit has been done for colors, lol i dont know. -imSafeboot =p

Hello! This will be my first post on these forums. I'm looking to buy a new laptop as the title says and my budget is around 1800 but I could go up to 2000 if necessary. I'll be doing some heavy gaming and multi-tasking so something like a 1070 is what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something with good cooling that can take anything I throw at it I was looking at a MSI GE73VR (http://www.xoticpc.com/msi-ge73vr-raider-045.html) but I'd like to ask some other more experienced people. before I drop near $2,000 on a laptop. Thanks for any help in advance!

So i'll be starting college later this month, and I have no idea what to get in terms of laptops. I know my way around what to buy for desktops and builds, but know jack shit about laptops. SO i'm just looking for suggestions. My Price range would preferably be ~1000 USD because it's coming out of my parents pocket and I'd have to pay them back at some point. Some questions you guys might ask in the replies: Major: Pre-Med, so i'll be doing a lot of science classes. What are you looking to get out of this laptop: Something that could hopefully get me through all four years of college without a problem. Right now I have a MacBook Pro that I got starting high school and around Junior year it started shitting out on me, and has never worked the same. Uses: No real gaming, I have a rig but dont use it anymore and I'll be leaving it at my parents house while I'm away (Guess I just grew out of it ). Mostly writing papers and skypeing. Something that's fast, but won't break my back everywhere I go (trust me, I take my laptop everywhere). Need's to be able to handle all of the chrome tabs I keep open (I currently have about 40 open on this macbook rn and it's killing the speed) Some photo editing and light video editing here and there because do some photography and videography, but nothing that needs anything super jacked. Any specifications you guys recommend is helpful as well. I'll be ordering on amazon if I can't find it in local stores so try to keep that in mind as well (Unless the laptop is really good and has to be bought from the manufacturer directly). Thanks.
