My tower runs a 1500X on a stock cooler, 8 GB of RAM, 1060 3GB, AX370 Gaming K3 Motherboard, 480gb ssd, and a 650 psu. I have NOT overclocked it at all, fearing to void the warranty. So the story goes like this: I downloaded some gigabyte applications then deleted them because I didn't like them. I realized my BIOS was not up to date so I updated that. I then installed Ryzen Master Control and AMD's chipset drivers wondering if it'll help with performance. It did help with the benches a bit but what I noticed later was I was running hot, 45 to 50 C all the time on idle. I then noticed my clock speeds were fixed at 3.5 GHZ on the ryzen master control and CPU-Z was showing 3.9 GHZ and 1.45V spikes. I checked my power plan settings and noticed it was on AMD power plan management, I chose the default power plan and the temperatures dropped to 36C,volts at 0.8 around about, and the CPU was at 1.55 GHZ The thing is, the benchmarks showed a performance decrease as well which is annoying. I tried reinstalling the drivers but nothing happened. Anyone been through this or know a fix? I'd rather not manually fix the volts at a certain number as that would void the warranty and disable the xfr making me regret the 1500x since 1600 would've been the better choice then.

Hello im upgradeing my pc's basic specs here Cpu: i3-6100 Gpu: msi gaming x 960 2gb Ram: hyper x 2x4gb 2133mhz Psu: 650 watt evga 80+ Im planning to get a gtx 1070 and r5 1500x with 3200mhz ram and my budget is 900. Ik gpu prices arent good right now so i was going to go ahead and buy the r5 ram and mobo and get the 1070 later is this a good idea? I dont plan to do video rendering and things like that so i dont need more than 4 cores 8 threads.

Hi everyone! I have a RYZEN 5 1500x (never been oc'ed). My idle temps are about 38-42 degrees Celsius. Is that normal? My cpu temperature when gaming reaches about 55-60 degrees Celsius. Is this normal too? I am only using the stock cooler that came with the cpu. This is my first time having an AMD build and I am not quite sure about my system's behavior. Please enlighten me. Thank you!

Hello guys, just want to know what you think of my new build, honest answer I build a PC for 1080p gaming and university work. So for CPU I have got a Ryxen 1500x, I have tought about getting a 1600 or 1600X, but I wont do any video editing or anything that need more than 4 cores. The 1600 is not much expansive than the 1500x, but the 1500x have higher clock speed (what is better for gaming). For GPU, I' have bought a MSI 580 gaming x. I had a hard time to find it because of the minig craze and I had to spent a few extra bucks, but I found it! I bought it because I'll play some 1080p games and Esports games, and I think that a 580 is okay for that. Memory I went whit some Corsaire LPX 3000mhz. I bought a 16 go kit (2x8). Storage: Samsung 850 evo 250 go for booting and main games. I'll upgrade it with some HDD for storage later. My motherboard is a Gigabyte AB-350 gaming 3. I bought this one because it have everything I need plus RGB fusion For my PSU I could have saved a few bucks, but I got a EVGA 650w 80+ gold. I got it because it's futureproff and I like the all black wire. And all of that is in a NZXT S340 Elite. Again, I could have save a few bucks, but I like the TG look :). To play on, I have got a Asus 24" monitor. It is Free sync, 75hz, 1 ms. I could have went with a 144hz monitor, but I had a good deal on this monitor, and I use it for my Xbox one two (whitch does not go over 60 fps anyways). The monnitor as dual HDMI so it is perfect for my Xbox and PC. And with a Rx 580, I can't realy go over 80-90 fps wile playing new AAA titles anyway so it is useless to go with a 144hz monitor in my case. I'm using it in a dual monitor config with a 21.5" asus monitor and both a on a dual monitor arm. Thx for your comment, I'm new at PC building and I would like to know if I chose the good parts.

Searching for compatible parts r5 1500x
the_boss_NL posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hello, I want to upgrade to the ryzen 1500x, I like the msi b350 gaming pro carbon and I am also searching for some compatible 16gb rgb ram. I first wanted to go for the corsair vengeance rgb 3000mhz, but i cant find any compatible rgb ram on the site of msi. Does anyone know if it is supported, and if so will it also be compatible with the msi gaming app? Btw. I am now using a fx 4350 and 8gb of ddr3 ram, will the upgrade be even worth the money? Can is it better to upgrade to an intel 7600? I would like to know since i don't know really much about the new ryzen. -
WINDOWS 10 /64bit I have had so many issues yesterday with my PC, couldnt install windows 10 at first, after bios update it was fine. Now i have problem with memory, i have 2x4gb kingston hyperX 2400mhz paired sticks, they work, i can see their models in BIOS, but in bios on information page it shows 4gb physical memory (even tho when you go to memory tab you can see 2 dimms with 4 gb), and in windows 10 it shows 8gb of memory but 3.95 are usable.. I have MSI b350 PC mate motherboard and ryzen 5 1500x

Hello people, A friend of mine is wondering between this two options: - AMD Ryzen 1500x with a Rx580 8gb - AMD Ryzen 1600 with a Rx580 4gb Which of these is the best option?

Hello folks, I am having the weirdest issue with a new build computer. Here are the specs first: Ryzen 5 1500X Radeon RX560 Saphire OC 4GB 8GB Corsair V 3000Mhz (running at 2133 during testing) Asus PRIME B350M-A The computer is for my girlfriend and I was taking this opportunity to show her what goes into building a computer. I may have now just put her off for life lol She got 35 mins out of Bioshock Remastered then it crashed came up with the error found in the Att1 attachment. Now I didn't bench or burn-in anything after building ( becuase come-on it's a Ryzen 5 with an RX560 ) - So I logged onto my steam account and installed 3D mark to see if I could stress it. Sure enough after a few runs it crashed. But the crash on 3D Mark says "canceled by user" and other times it cancels on a GPU error. The odd thing is the Radeon window also crashes. Here is a video of the issue: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B918caL_HYSUMGR6dVMtSzZ3QWs ( I tried to upload it to YouTube - it is still processing( - _ - ) I then took the graphics card out and ran 3D Mark on my machine. Everything completed fine, no errors. - So I messed around with graphics drivers, updated to the latest. Then went back to the same ones on my computer. Nope, still crashing. I moved onto Prime95, that was interesting. I will get back to that. - I ran a memtest - Ran 2 tests, both have passed. See Att2 attachment. Prime95, running Small FFT for an hour. Completely fine. Now running in Blend mode, I have multiple worker failures. See Att3 attachment. I have tried overclocking the RAM to fix the issue ( stupid I know, but you get desperate, thinking maybe the RAM needs to be higher ) That just made the Prime95 test worse. - CPU then right? Well, I am just unsure if I am completely honest. Why would it run fine on Small FFT, fail in blend mode; Yet pass a memtest. I am currently running the In-Place test, it is maybe 20 mins in now and hasn't failed. The Blend test failed within a couple of mins at times. Thanks in advance for anyones help

Hello guys! Need help! Just built my new PC. Built it today. Was working fine for an hour or two. I instaled some programs and games, shut it down and restart it multiple times, no problem at all. At once, I was listening some music on spotify wile doing some update for Gigabyte App Center and the PC started to lag and there were a bugging noise. I could control the mouse, so I shut down Spotify. Was still bugging so I try to restart it using the Start menu in Windows. I selected "Instal update and restart". The PC shut down and never restart completely. The fans were runing and I had a red LED indicating that the CPU was working, but I never recived any video signal. My Razer chroma keyboard and Naga mouse never light up. So I shut it down using the star button. Since that, it only does that (fans running, red LED for CPU, but no signal). I have some RGB's on my Mobo, it flash for a fraction of a second when I try to start the system. My hardware: Gigabite AB-B350 Gaming 3 Ryzen 1500x Corsair LPX (2x8 go 3000) GTX 650 (waiting to buy a RX 580...) EVGA Supernova 650w 80+ gold Samsung evo 850 250 go SSD I tried to unplug everything, cmos reset, moving the ram around, unplugued almost everyting that is not needed for booting... etc. What can I do? Thx for your help!

Hi guys. I just today built a new Ryzen system, and it managed to post which made me incredibly happy as it's my first build. But come the time I installed Windows 10 via USB, things started going awry. I am continuously getting hard locks that give me a BSOD error; 'CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT' roughly 5 minutes after logging into windows. I've already looked at other open posts about this... just wanted to see if there was anything I could do here. I have attempted the following: -Updating drivers including display, ethernet (which actually completed), disk, CPU (the computer would BSOD with the same error prior to the update completing for any other updates). Did not fix. -Updating Windows (Hung at 95% then BSOD). Did not fix. -Checking drivers through Device Manager and Verifier. Did not indicate any problems. -Flashing the BIOS to the newest version as per the support website. Did not fix. -Running the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool to see if the RAM had bad sectors (results came up clean). Did not indicate any problems. *Reinstalling Windows 10 with freshly-downloaded Windows Installation Media did not work. My working computer decided not to accept a fresh install onto the flash drive, giving me an Access Denied error. None of these options have abated the symptoms and I'm at my wit's end. Specs; CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 1500X, 4 cores 8 Threads @ 3.5GHz + Stock Cooler (AMD Wraith Spire). Has not been overclocked. MOBO - MSI X470 Gaming Plus *VERIFIED TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH MOBO ON MSI'S WEBSITE* RAM - G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory / Model F4-3200C16D-16GVGB. Has not been set to above 2133MHz, or overclocked in BIOS. GPU - MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB. Has not been overclocked. SSD - SanDisk SSD Plus 240GB. HDD - WD Blue 1TB. CASE - NZXT S340 (Non-Elite) Black/Red PSU - EVGA Power Supply 220-G3-0750-X1 SuperNOVA 750 G3 80+ Gold 750W Please help.

I have taken a break away from my new extraordinary complex build and taken on the task of finding parts, assembling and installing my friends new gaming computer. It was his birthday last Sunday so this years big gift for himself was a new PC. Been using a gaming laptop the past few years with no clear upgrade path, it surely have hit a roadblock for one wanting to play new titles. We both live in Denmark and here hardware is pretty expensive, so there was a budget - get me the best possible rig, somewhat future proof, quiet, good looks, NO RGB, maintenance free and for less than £1.100 // $1.570 // £1.270 // 9.500 DKR. So we found: MSI B350M Gaming Pro motherboard AMD Ryzen 5 1500X CPU CoolerMaster MasterLiquidLite 240 AIO Corsair LPX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 3000MHz RAM Gigabyte AORUS GeForce® GTX 1060 6G 9Gbps Seagate Firecuda SSHD 1TB 1 random 120mm PWM fan (I had this already) 1 random 140mm fan (I had this already) 1 PWM splitter (I had this already) Fractal Design Integra M 550Watt PSU Fractal Design Meshify C Dark ed. w/Tempered glass A BitFenix PSU extension (I had this already) A Phanteks GPU power extension (I had this already) Samsung C24FG73 23,5" Curved HD monitor (gifted from his girlfriend) Logitech G413 White keyboard Plantronics 500HD surround headset I had an unused Windows 10 Pro from my private stockpile of PC gear that he got. All in all a pretty good deal on a budget, optimized primarily for gaming and not much else. Therefor no more than 8GB RAM, no SSD, no fancy anything really, just performance.

I built my very first PC with these hardware: Ryzen 5 1500x (Stock Cooler) Palit GTX 1050 Ti Team Elite 2x8GB 2400 Now, when I played games such as Cities Skylines and FF VX I always get 30 to 40 fps. I don't know much about PC specs yet so I was wondering if that FPS was normal for this build? I was also wondering it my monitor affected my ave fps. I have a Samsung S23C350 with only 60Hz. Any help would really be appreciated. Thank you! Also, I'm new to this forum so.. Yey me.

Is it worth it to get a 2400G to start off and buy a GPU after a few months or save up until I can buy both a 1500X and a GPU together?
-
Should I go for the two extra cores on the 1600 or go for the wider range of XFR on the 1500X?

I recently made a post about my CPU having high idle temperatures at stock speeds with stock cooler. I updated my BIOS to the latest version (7A34vA7, from 2017-09-19, I have an MSI B350 PC Mate) and temps got a little bit better. However, after looking for a while at Ryzen Master and also HWMonitor, I noticed that my CPU voltage jumps from 1.33 to 1.45 or even higher, and it usually stays like that for a decent amount seconds, and I noticed that this doesn't happen when I'm gaming (for example). What could be causing this? Because it doesn't seem to be healthy for the system. The VCORE is set to auto in the BIOS, should I set it manually even if I'm not OCing?

cpu My PC has been doing some scary things
Plynth3r posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
So, I've recently built a PC with a Ryzen 5 1500X and a MSI B350 PC Mate mobo. Everything was working fine, I had a few problems with idle temps and fixed it thanks to some of you guys, but I checked my voltage and noticed that it went from like 1.312V to around 1.45 or even 1.55 sometimes. My VCORE was on auto, and I heard this voltage spikes were caused by XFR, so I manually set the voltage to 1.3V. Everything was working fine, I even ran a stress test for a few hours to check if it was stable, but then when I was playing R6 Siege my monitors and everything turned off but the PC was still running, I looked at my motherboard and the CPU led was on, that means that it wasn't working. I restarted the PC a few times and it worked fine every time I did, but today when I turned the PC on the same thing happened. It starts fine, I can get to the bios with no problems, but it stops working during the Windows 10 login screen. Thinking it was the vcore, I raised it to 1.312V and it worked... Until the next time I turned the PC on. There's people that told me that I should disable "Core Performance Boost" when setting the voltage by myself, and it should work, is this true? Also, I noticed that the CPU constantly runs at 3.6GHz instead of 3.5 (which is the base clock, I'm running at stock frequency with stock cooler). PD: Sorry if I said something wrong, English is not my main language and I was a little bit rushed -
I got my hands on a brand new ryzen 5 1500x, sealed and unopened should I sell it and use the money for a 1600? or should I keep it? GPU: 1070

I am literally out of ideas on this, already ran Malwarebytes not in Safe mode and it found 3 things, then it quarantined it then restarted PC and it was at 100% still. Then I booted it into safe mode ran another scan still at 100%. I'm so confused... Is it maybe b/c my cooler was not put on all the way?
