Hello, i would like to ask if im bottlenecked as my pc struggles to maintain 100+fps on COD warzone. I play on 1080p, all low graphic settings to maximize the use of my 144hz monitor. Setting the graphics to ultra only sets me back about 10-20 fps. My pc specs are: Ryzen 1600 b450 Gtx 1080ti 16 gb 3200mhz ram

Hi, I am considering upgrading a decent bit from a 2060, I am a little unsure if I should stick with the RTX side or go for a used 1080ti, I know the spec differences and most benchmark numbers but I'm just looking for some opinions, price isn't much of a matter to me right now. (Maybe ops on which one would hold up for longer/better optimisations etc)

Hey so ive tried plugging in 2 monitors via display port into my 1080ti and i am unable to boot, i know that they are both certified display port cables, and i have the latest drivers and i have even installed the display port update for nvdia, but if i boot with just the hdmi monitor in i can boot and then plug both display port cables in and i get all 3 monitors back

Hey Guys, So I've recently got a new rig, my first proper PC, was a fortunate freebie from work as i now work from home! I've started to get into PC gaming but feel like i'm having a few issues (Primarily with the GPU), so i could be wrong but i'm pretty sure it should be running waaaaaayyyy better than it is! So i've recently been trying to play Warzone, Battlefield V, Metro Exodus and Football manager, and even on FM i tend to have dropped frames and what seems like screen tearing! The worst of all being Warzone that i can't get more than about 25-30 fps from on low settings! I have what i believe to be a fairly decent rig (See attached specs), have installed all drivers and nvidia experience, have uninstalled and reinstalled them and the games but still no success.

My motherboard (Msi X370 Xpower gaming) is currently running an Evga Geforce GTX 1080 Ti and I was wondering if I could use my 980 ti with it either as SLI or just to run two different operations. Thank you for any help you might Give

Hi, I would like to wait for the new GPUs but currently I don't have a GPU (currently I have a 2016 Macbook Pro, but also a Dell R720XD for turning it into gaming pc+ virtualization server/nas) and I can't play many games I would like to play on Geforce Now which I thought that it would be able to hold me until the new cards are released. So, I am looking for a good GPU to be able to play recent games in 1440p with decent fps and I have the following (possible) options with my opinions below, what would be your advice? 2070 Super Brand: MSI Gaming X Trio State: Used, first purchase date is 23.07.2019 original price was 653 EUR Price: 500 EUR Concern: Expensive, is it worth the extra cost? 1080ti Brand: EVGA icx State: Used, claimed to have warranty, but can't see the invoice Price: 400EUR Concern: State of the cards unknown, seller didn't respond for warranty status RX 5700 XT Brand: Gigabyte Gaming OC State: New Price: 430 EUR Concern: Driver issues?

is the 1080ti still good in 2020 cause i found it at good price 350 euro and its with 1 year warranty. Thanks

Recently, I have bought the EVGA CLC 120mm AIO Cooler in hopes of cooling my 1080Ti so there would be more drops in the cards Mhz as well as being quiet. Even though it EVGA CLC 120mm Aio is not listed as compatible with the Kraken G12 mounting kit, It was the only one up on amazon and I coudln't wait any longer for the Corsair H55 to go back in stock, so I just went with it. I got the AIO, installed it on my card while also putting aluminum and copper heatsinks on the VRM/VRAM. I booted up and temps were sort of normal, could idle anywhere between 28-35c when it was downclocked to 600mhz. I booted up Heaven 4.0 to compare my results with another person who had the same setup (in reference to GPU, Hose orientation, and radiator placement, and airflow) but with the H55, a 120mm aio just like the evga clc 120. When the test was done I was completely unsatisfied and disappointed. He somehow got a max temp of 48c to his card when the benchmark was complete, while I got a max of 66c, people may be happy with a temp like that but im not, i should be getting the same temp and same performance as him with an 120mm AIO. But thats not it, he even outperformed me by 100 points at the benchmark at a higher clock. Do you know the entire system he was using and exact card? His exact card was the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition 11GB GDDR5X 23.21.13.8831 (The exact same card as mine) and was using the i7 8700k at 3.7GHz while I have a i7 7700k at 4.2GHz, but still, that does not explain a 20c difference in the gpu and performance. His platform was Windows NT 6.2 (build 9200) 64 bit. Did he use the standard test or change some settings? He did not change any setting, his settings are the exact same as mine Render: Direct3D11 Mode: 1600x900 8xAA Windowed Preset: Extreme What drivers was he on? Ive seen scores change just from newer drivers. If he is able to install something as complicated as a kraken g12 and an AIO on a 1080TI, he obviously keeps his drivers to date. His review was posted on September 2018, I looked up nvidia game ready drivers from that timeslot and found a Geforce Game Ready Driver that released Sept, 10th 2018, which was the latest one before Sept 16th, so it is very safe to assume he was using that Driver. https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/137727/en-us What room temps/case temps did he have? My ambient temp is 23c in my room, Its hard to believe that his can make a 20c difference even if his ambient is 10c less then me. https://prnt.sc/sqdm7q This is the benchmark with NVIDIA driver 445.87 https://prnt.sc/sqdmxd The "latest" driver 446.14 https://prnt.sc/sqdmhq The amazon reviewers score https://prnt.sc/sqdmrs my score with Sept 10th, 2018 driver 399.24 As you can see, this still does not solve my problem, even though i got a higher score than the reviewer by 41 points. My 1080ti still got up to 66C!!! And his is still 48c, I know i installed everything correctly, from applying thermal paste to screwing in the radiator. I used Noctua's NT-H1 Thermal paste and applied it correctly. But I am not using only ONE persons temps and comparing it to mine, here is a couple excerpts from Amazon reviews from people using the H55 and 1080ti together... "My 1080 TI now sits at idle of 19C in a 72F Ambient Temp room. when I game it never goes over 54C, seriously!!! I even added 125Mhz to the clock to bump it up to 2025Mhz, still it runs 54C, and my FPS stays much more consistent while gaming" "Installed this on a PNY GTX 1080ti (Blower edition) paired with a Corsair H55 in a push/pull config. Running it under full load and it so far hasn't even gotten beyond 45c. " "So I was overclocking my Zotac 1080 ti Amp Edtion and was watching the temps hitting 80+ C on the GPU...Since the installation I haven't seen the GPU get any hotter than 47 degrees no matter what I do!" "it went from the hight 80s C down to 48 C, almost 40 C degree difference. wow i was super happy. i used a corsair h55 with the g12 and they pair up good. " " MSI 1080 Ti Aero here. Silent with no load but becomes a Husquarna leaf blower during gaming. Had to summon the Kraken. In the pictures you will observe heatsinks, GPU PWM adapter cable and Corsair H55. Before: 29C idle, gaming delved into 80s (Anno 1800 in 4K), high 60s and mid-70s (GW2 in 4K) - all settings maxed. After: 24C idle, gaming 50C and 40C max respectively for the above. And this is on stock H55 fan (low RPM non-PWM). " If someone could try to share their mind with this, that would be great. But the only thing I can conclude with this is that the EVGA CLC 120mm AIO is just not right for the 1080ti GPU dye, and is therefore not going to get as good as temps as the H55, an AIO that was designed for the Kraken G12 and works well with the GTX 1080Ti dye. If someone would like to state a different answer, be my guest

I have been running a system with a gigabyte 1080ti turbo mostly for 3d modelling and rendering. My primary software is cinema 4d and octane render. I recently decided to buy a gigabyte aorus x 2080ti to use in addition to the 1080 ti. However, I did not realize that my motherboard did not have much space between the pcie slots and the two cards are almost touching. the issue might be solved if i could put the 2080ti on the bottom, since the 1080ti is a slimmer blower style card. However, there are some necessary connectors on the motherboard getting in the way. I ran octane bench just to see how bad the heat would be and it was pretty bad. the 2080ti ran about 86c and the 1080ti ran 90c for most of the benchmark. However, my score increased from 313 with just the rtx card to 428 with both. from what I understand about octane bench this is a pretty significant increase and took almost half the time. I am worried though that these temps could severely damage the cards (especially since the 1080ti does not have a backplate) and I am considering using only the rtx card or replacing it with a slimmer blower style rtx card. Can someone tell me what would be the best option? thanks

I have a wireless mouse and in order to charge it overnight I have to either keep my pc on which makes a lot of noise and lights, or I can turn it off with fast boot on where of my usb ports stay on. The problem with the second option is that my keyboard has gone through some things (Multiple power outages, cola/gfuel spilled on it) and I cant turn its lights off after shutdown, so I have to manually disconnect it and then reconnect it when I boot my pc again. Is there a way to make it to where at least 1 usb port is on, but the others are off? (Or the opposite- where at least 2 (yes my keyboard uses 2 usb cables) usb ports are off and the rest are on?) Ive tried using the “Partial Initial” usb setting in the bios but that setting just turns all the usb ports off (I’ve tried every single port). Motherboard- Aorus Gaming 7 X399 Edit: idk what I did but now all the ports are off with any setting. Fast boot off, fast boot on with “usb settings full initial”, off on shutdown with any setting. Thanks, doxi.

Hi all, Long time LTT viewer/forum reader, first time posting - apologies if i'm posting where i shouldn't be. Okay, so i recently bought a second hand, but 1.5year old 1080Ti. Its not a super-dooper one, its the Gigabyte Gaming OC 11G. It seems to work really well, the visuals and FPS are just unbelievable compared to my old 660Ti. Its's still in an older system (i7 - 3770k) until the rest of the parts arrive. Of course i wanted to test it out right away, i couldn't help myself. I loaded up TimeSpy etc and the scores are fine. But when i head into something like Borderlands 3 or The Witcher, the GPU heads directly to 80+ degrees C, sits there and the fans go wild. Are these games particularly demanding on GPUs and therefore the workload for the GPU is expected or are there problems here? Airflow in the case is pretty poor currently, that's why my new rig should suit it way better - better air, more space etc. I'm just trying to work out my expectations i guess, as reviews never ever mention that on mid-higher end cards that they basically take off under any kind of load. I feel like its pretty noisy, or at least a lot noisier than i'd expected. I know my 1080Ti isn't top spec at all - but jsut wondering about other peoples experiences with these issues. Is this why people with higher end cards end up custom water cooling? Is that a quieter/better solution?

Hi, Being inspired by Linus's Hackintosh and Windows on the same machine video, I'm intrigued to do the same and take my place in the rows of PC Gaming. Now, I already own an MBP 15" Late 2016, a PS4 Pro with PS VR and a 1gbit internet connection. So, after some second-hand research, I got my hands on a Dell Poweredge R720XD with 2x Xeon E5-2690 and 64GB DDR3 1600MHz and started for searching the GPU(s). Seeing that Nvidia outperforms AMD for gaming, and also my interest in building a Hackintosh (and get an iPad Pro to connect to the Hackintosh remotely if I need the horsepower), I thought of having two GPUs (thanks Apple for not supporting Nvidia). But budget-wise I cannot buy two GPUs at the same time, and gaming has the priority since I already have a Mac. In addition to this, I learned that Nvidia would likely release their new GPUs somewhere in September. Now, I don't want to wait until September but buying 2080ti at the moment doesn't seem logical as well. Since I can live with MacOS High Sierra if I go with a Hackintosh (don't need to at the moment though), I thought maybe 1080ti would be an option. So, here I am in between buying a second hand 1080ti for around €500 or a brand new PowerColor RX 5700 XT Red Devil for €470. 2070 Super would also be an option, but that's around €600-700, and I can't justify it since I will check the next-gen Nvidia GPUs. Given the situation, what would be your advice? Games that I play currently (on PS4 but most probably move to PC) - Witcher 3 - Red Dead Redemption II - Assassins' Creed Origins - Deus Ex - Horizon Zero Dawn

Hello everybody. I don't usually post. But I don't really know what to do in a situation like this,I've never really seen this before. I'm pretty upset though. TLDR : my dad's 4790K 1080i system started black screening after 20 mins. Couldn't figure out problem. Change graphics cards. PSU started to smoke. Melted 8 pin port PSU?! I got a call from my dad last week that the computer I built several years ago. Is acting up. So I go over there, He explains that the computer keeps crashing around 20 to 40 minute mark of gaming. It just black screens. After many many hours resetting settings,/changing components... I'm completely left baffled. The computer will randomly turn off after 20 to 40 minutes gaming and sometimes just rendering menu, and then it won't boot up again in a menu at all until shut off for a very long time but It would sometimes load windows even after that first or second black screen. I brought it home changed graphics cards thinking that might have been it. I plugged in a 5700 XT and It was fine for a little while. Decide to put the 1080ti back into test one more time before giving up and tearing it down... .set a valley benchmark. It lasted another 20 minutes and then a small bid of smoke came out of the eight-pin power port I shut the computer off. Blowing the smoke away I felt the PSU and it was pretty hot though the PSU was running with the fan on. I'm not really quite sure what to do now. I never had this happen before. I'm really upset that my PSU is shot and my 1080 TI is acting up on top of that. I made sure all cables were seated properly every time I ever installed or moved a component. Power Cables were changed, using a tripp light power protector aswell.

Just want to ask that what could be the possible fault in GPU? Bios chip corrupted? Or any other fault? I have 1080Ti and it randomly gives black screen. · I did Furmark for more than half an hour it didn't crash. · Firestrike Extreme with above 12.5k score didn't crash. · Superposition on 8K above 30Fps and above 4.2k score didn't crash. · It does not crash in games also. After all the effort what I found is that if I disable hardware acceleration in MS Word, Photoshop etc it stops crashing. While it crashes with those applications even if I am not using them it usually crashes without load on desktop screen, using MS Word, chrome and even some times without using anything it crashes. The point is that it do not crashes on load rather crashes without any load. Hardware Acceleration Enabled: Crash Hardware Acceleration Disable: No crash I tried it on 4 different systems and it crashed on all of them while other Rpm work fine on those systems. Just want to ask that what could be the possible fault in GPU? Bios chip corrupted? Or any other fault?

Wasn't sure whether to post this in graphics cards or monitors, so my apologies if I'm breaking the forum rules here. I have an Asus Strix 1080ti, which has two Display ports and two HDMI inputs. I also have 3 XB27HU 1440p G-Sync monitors. The issue is that on the third monitor, I am limited to HDMI 1.4, so that's 60hz at 1440p. Does anyone have any clever ideas on how to get around this issue? I bought this card after seeing reviews that it was one of the fastest 1080ti's at the time it was released (the 011G model). But I'd be willing to trade for an equal-ish card with someone that would benefit from the two HDMI's. Let me know what you guys and gals think I should do. Thanks y'all.

Hi, I don't know which graphics card to choose. I live in Czech Republic and the 1080ti is for 550USD and new 2070 SUPER is for 590USD. I'm going to play in 1080p. Which should I choose.

Just finished my new Ryzen 5 3600 + 1080Ti build (upgraded from FX-9590 & R9 390X). In the process however, I forgot to uninstall my AMD GPU drivers and such and now my 1080Ti is not being detected by windows. It's working fine as a display out at the moment, but neither MSI Afterburner nor Windows are recognizing it and the 1080Ti's fans aren't spinning... like at all. What should I do? Should I swap my R9 390X in to uninstall the drivers and such? Should I be worried that the 1080Ti's fans aren't on

Hi guys, I want to upgrade my CPU because I think is bottlenecking my GPU. My current CPU is: i7-4790 and my GPU is: Geforce GTX 1080ti. I was considering changing to AMD Ryzen. I liked Ryzen 3700x or Ryzen 2700x. Which one would you recommend to avoid bottlenecking? I was also looking for a motherboard to match those specs. Thank you!

Just recently upgraded my media center from a GTX 770 to GTX 1080ti, but now there some weird behavior. Every time I use the volume controls or the xbox one light up X button the screen goes black and then comes back with the refreshed changes. So far it only happens when in fullscreen mode(using Kodi or playing a game fullscreen). When I was using the GTX 770 I was using a DVI to HDMI cable because when I build the computer the HDMI port on the 770 was giving me a signal. Once I put the 1080ti I had no choice but to use HDMI (using a 4K rated cable). What could be causing this behavior with the 1080ti? Also, I had copies of two movies that for some reason looked horrible in Kodi after I installed the 1080ti, but they looked fine with the 770. They also looked fine when played with VLC on both cards.. Below: Same movie file, same time code, both with the GTX 1080ti. Top is Kodi bottom is VLC.

Hi! I need your help guys. Recently (about two days ago) i realized that the temperature of my gpu was abnormally high while playing, it was 84 c, that was werid cause i remember playing and having temperatures on de 60s. Then i check it without any load, just the wallpaper and it was on the 50s. My questions are: is that normal? is it possible that my gpu is doomed? what test can i do so i can know what happened? pd. i started panicking and think on buying a kraken g12 for my 1080 By the way sorry for my bad english guys.

Recently i brought my new monitor ASUS VG27BQ ,i use 165hrz with 2K even when i am browsing the web , and there is a spike of CPU usage when i switch tabs / load a tab , I think is because of the high refresh rate that my i5 - 7500 core cant handle the 165hrz refresh rate So i am thinking about ,should i change a core that already release or wait for the next generation. And even i am with a 1080 Ti GPU i still cant use the full potential of the monitor with high game setting so is it my CPU causing this problem? That dragging the performance of the system ,or is just my equipment are not powerful enough

Hello guys, I recently saw that my rig is letting me down in games. My GPU is only at 50-60% when I play games, like BFV, PUBG, COD Warzone, and my CPU usage is at constant 90%... My rig is: 1. i7 7700k (stock) 2. 1080 Ti (stock) 3.16 ram 3200Mhz I don' t know what else to do. I' ve tried everything... re-install gpu drivers, oc the processor etc etc. Anyone with good ideas please?

So I'm in the market for a new GPU, and am eyeing the $450-$500 range. At this range there are mainly 3 cards in the market, the 2070super, 5700XT and the 1080ti in the used market. Which of these cards would be best value for money?. I know the 1080Ti is quite old now but it still performs admirably and performs as good as a 2080, but will that still hold 2 years from now? or should I go for the more recent offerings just for future-proofing? I have a 2700X paired with 16GB Of Ram. Currently I'm using a GTX 970. Looking to play at 1440P, maybe sometimes crank it up to 4k just for the fun of it.
