Hello, after making various threads, I have narrowed it down to the specs I want for a monitor. (I play a decent amount of CSGO and rust, I also am going to play games like dying light 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 when they release) Ghosting is really my main concern hence why I didn't want a VA. I would like to know what is currently the best on the market for my budget and spec, so I can compare it with my current choices. Thanks for all the help

The ViewSonic VX2458-C-MHD 24-inch 1080p 144hz Curved Gaming Monitor is available to me for USD 162.26. I have an i5-3570 paired with a Gigabyte Single fan GTX 960 4GB. I am buying this monitor for Valorant@1080p144. Will my PC be able to manage it? Does my GPU have G-sync? This monitor has Freesync, will it work with my GPU? Is this monitor worth it?

I'm currently really confused which monitor should I go with. I've been using 27 inch 1080p for like a year and half now and 81PPI doesn't bother me at all, I never seen any visible pixels unless I get extremely close to my monitor and getting 24 inch monitor feels like a downgrade to me. The reason why i'm confused is because many people say 1080p on 27 inch monitor looks ugly but since I never experienced 27 inch 1440p myself I can't tell any difference and why i'm hesitating into getting 27 inch 1440p is because not every game can run at above 60FPS on max settings at that resolution yet and I'm the guy who hate it when games run under 60FPS. So here's my question, how terrible does 1080p resolution looks on 1440p monitor compared to 27 inch 1080p monitor? Should I buy 1440p monitor and run it on 1080p or just get 1080p monitor? These are the monitor that I think I might buy because i'm into graphic designing as well and they good good response time and decent colour accuracy. LG27GL850 or LG27GL750

Budget (including currency): £ n/a Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Yesterday I made a post about upgrading my current setup (https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/jmKwQq) to try and play upcoming games in 1440p @144Hz, however, this doesn't seem very feasible (thank you guys for all the solid advice!). In lieu of this, can anyone advise me as to which GPU would still get the most out of my non-OC'd i7-3770k for 1080p 60Hz gaming at max settings on the most demanding mainstream games; Tomb Raider, The Witcher, Battlefield, Fallen Order, Cyberpunk etc. As a side note, I also have the very same question about upgrading a second system based around a m-ATX board, Pentium G4560 dual core and a 1050ti.

Hi, I am looking to build a gaming PC. Looking for best buck to performance and don't have much interest in RGB (what ever keeps the cost low) PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor $429.00 @ Canada Computers Motherboard MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard $229.50 @ Vuugo Memory Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory $128.99 @ Newegg Canada Video Card MSI Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB GAMING X Video Card $574.50 @ Vuugo Case Phanteks P300 ATX Mid Tower Case $92.27 @ Amazon Canada Monitor Acer GN246HL 24.0" 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor $296.99 @ PC-Canada Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $1761.25 Mail-in rebates -$10.00 Total $1751.25 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-04-23 20:31 EDT-0400 No idea what to get for power supply 1. Budget & Location My budget is $2000 CAD for the PC with monitor and peripherals included in the budget. Location: Canada 2. Aim This PC is purely for gaming. List of games I play or plan to play: 1) E-sports titles (league, CSGO, overwatch, Valorant) 2) Cities Skyline 3) Racing/driving games (Forza, euro truck sim, F1) 4) plan to play future triple A titles (med to high settings 1080p) 3. Monitors I would love to have a 144hz 1080p display monitor but have no idea what is a good monitor vs a bad one. I have tried to look into it (TN vs IPS vs VA) or (LED vs LCD) but it is super confusing to me. Please help me find a budget 144 Hz monitor with low latency and freesync. I have never had a high refresh rate monitor or even a good looking display. So I don't personally know if I will notice differences between a good vs great display or low vs high response time. 4. Peripherals currently have Logitech G502 SE and am happy with it. I will be in need of a keyboard. would appreciate any recommendation (best bang for you buck) 5. Why are you upgrading? My laptop is in its final stages (love it to bits) specs: I5-3337U Nvidia GT 740M 14in 60Hz display I am in a dire need for an upgrade. Lastly, I have gone over PC Partpicker and there is soooo many options that it is more confusing and helpful. I was hoping for a AMD based system. Ryzen 7 3700x or 3800x. Not sure if Ryzen 9 3900x would be better value or if it is overkill. As for the GPU, I was thinking of Radeon RX 5700XT. It does not really matter if the GPU is AMD or Nvidia. Motherboards are confusing to me, I am not sure what exact features they have and if those features would improve performance. I realize that this is a long texted post, please bear with me and let me know if more information in required. thanks, Hulkify

MD.AHRAR72 posted a topic in Graphics Cards
I want to buy a futureproof gpu in a budget range around (500-550$) which will be promising me 1080p and beyond 60fps for the next 5-8yrs and also it will be better if i can play the AAA titles in the upcoming years having 60+fps. So I am looking to buy a monitor for my Xbox one x and the future Xbox Series X (which both supports 4K). I also would like to plug in my editing laptop to the monitor as well for edits. Which bares the question, should I buy a 4K monitor with 30hz or a 1080p with 90hz-144hz? Thanks Guys!

I ordered a new 240hz 1080p monitor (Alienware AW2518HF) after spending about a year using a 144hz 1080p. I've never had a problem maintaining 144 FPS for my old monitor, but I wanna do everything i can to maintain (as consistent as possible) 240 FPS for 240hz. I was wondering if there's any potential bottlenecking with my PC that might be holding me back from getting where i want to be, and specific in-game settings that I can use to optimize 240+ fps gaming (without bottlenecking) I play competitive FPS/eSports games, such as Overwatch (main game), CSGO, and others such as valorant. PC Specs: -GPU: RTX 2080 -CPU: i7-8700k OC @4.7 GHz -RAM: 64gb @2666mhz -Motherboard: ASUS Z370 Motherboard Is there a limiting factor with my setup for 240hz 1080p gaming, specifically for overwatch? What specific settings would benefit my FPS increase and stability? Gsync on/off? Please be as detailed as possible, would really appreciate answers to these questions. Thank you

My crappy video camera can record in 1080p @ 60 fps or 4K @ 25 fps. Either modes in reality are in any actual good quality as they are both full of noise. For now, I have to continue to use the camera but I am hoping to get my hands on AI upscaling in the future to improve the video quality. How should I choose to record my current videos for now to better prep for future AI upscaling: in 1080p @60 FPS or 4K 25 FPS, or just whatever give the video the least noise in quality? I film in an indoor, small room environment with dim lighting if that matters.

Hi there, I am looking into buying a monitor since my laptops monitor is 15.6inches which is waay to small for me. The screen is okay but I would prefer better. What I want:: IPS or similiar. Fine viewing angles. 20+ inches. under 130 dollars/euros/pounds. Slim bezels to then upgrade for a dual/triple monitor setup. Durable and will last 2+ years. What I found: BenQ GW2283 This monitor has all the specs I need and theres no bad reviews on it whilst there is on any other monitor I have found around 120 pounds or less. My questions: Is there a similiar monitor like this but cheaper/more durable? Am I being trolled and this monitor is bad and wont last long? Anyways once again thanks for reading and hopefully you guys can help me out. Btw I am in Europe so buying from china/US is not an option.

Looking for a 144hz monitor for around 350€. Should be IPS cause I do occasional video editing aswell. I'm fine with both 1080p and 1440p, because 1440p might be nice for editing but requires decreasing graphic quality in games.

Assuming you can run the monitor at max res and refresh at max settings on all games.

Looking at these two monitors currently to upgrade my very old 65Hz Samsung Syncmaster. Cannot find any actual reviews or any really of the G24C4, can anyone who has owned this monitor provide feedback on the ghosting, response time and input lag? On the other hand the Acer has had alot of very good reviews on the color, input lag and decent if not good response times. I won't be gaming 24/7 with this monitor but will be gaming a decent amount. Thanks for the help in advance.

I'm trying to hold off making a new build until Zen 3 drops along with the 3000 series of RTX cards or Big Navi, but it's honestly getting quite painful gaming on this, especially the monitor. I'm only trying to play some simple games like Valorant at 1080p, ideally at 144Hz. The problem is I'm locked into the G Sync only monitors as the GPU doesn't support FreeSync, meaning a budget GPU upgrade or sidegrade to AMD and a budget 144Hz monitor is still going to set me back around £300 to £400 easy. Any advice? I know it's reporting an incompatibility with the CPU cooler, I don't know why, as it seems to be working? I need a budget-friendly recommendation for a 1080p monitor. Since I'm from Argentina, South America, I need you to recommend me something from this website (biggest online store here): http://computacion.mercadolibre.com.ar/monitores/monitor-1080p_OrderId_PRICE The prices are in ARS and I can't spend more than ARS3.000 (USD190). I'll appreciate every recommendation, ... P.S: If you have any question about the website/currency or anything like that, ask me.
