Right so I used to only have one monitor which I would game on using HDMI to connect it to my PC, however recently I have purchased a second monitor and as my graphics card only has one HDMI slot and 2 DP slots I had to connect the second monitor via HDMI (as it did not have a DP port) and the initial first monitor via DP. Randomly no matter what I am doing the DP will randomly disconnect and turn the initial monitor black, however it still acts as if the monitor is there as all programs open on this monitor do not switch to the secondary monitor. I then have to keep unplugging and re plugging this to create a temporary fix and use the monitor again. Please does anyone have a fix for this?! I will leave system specs below. PC; MSI Nvidia 1070ti GPU - 1 HDMI port, 2 DP ports, 1 DVI port i7-8700 CPU 16GB RAM 256 SSD 2TB HDD 550W PSU Monitor 1: 144hz Refresh rate 1ms Response time 1 HDMI port 1 DP port 1 DVI port 1920x1080 resolution Monitor 2: BenQ ZOWIE RL LCD 60Hz Refresh rate 2 HDMI ports 1 DVI port

I am thinking about upgrading and Im not sure what to get. On one side I know that the Gtx 1070 will be used more in time because of more memory. Oncthe other hand the 2060 has the new architecture. What would you guys recommend? If I buy any model it will be from Gigabyte

So a while back ago I got my hands on a 1070 TI at a great deal (around 200$), and I've been happy ever since it easily chews through anything I throw at it. The only reason I'm considering an upgrade is for 1 particular game: Cyberpunk 2077 Most likely I'm overreacting since the game is designed to run on current-gen consoles, but i'd like to hear other people thoughts on the matter. There are currently no official specs for the game right now but a little worried that the 1070TI might have a bit of a hard time handling it. I plan on running it at 1080X2560 at 75 Herz. in case of an upgrade I was thinking of getting a used 1080TI or maybe go for an RTX 2070 (since the super launch of the super their prices have dropped)

Hello guys, So I'm making this post warning Asus users with 10 series cards as far as I know. So My 1070Ti Strix card is 1.5 years old and It gradually got hotter and hotter, I noticed this a few months ago when suddenly I was hitting 72 C and I know for a fact that when I first got this card it didn't exceed 64 C. I blamed it on the seasonal ambient temperature variations and didn't think much of it. Fast forward to today, I changed the stock paste with AS5 that I bought 3-4 years ago, lo and behold the temperatures dropped 10.3 C on average! That is a massive improvement for a thermal paste swap and using many-years old Arctic Silver 5. So this is my PSA to you Asus owners, I only know of this problem on my 1070Ti but it might concern other 10 or even 20 series cards but I can't know for sure how far this goes. Some might say that the stock paste is a lesser performing compound that is more geared towards long term storage and more or less consistent performance but I wouldn't be wrong in assuming the card lost/gained 8 C over 1.5 years. That's bad by any standards, except intel's. If you have questions leave them below, I'll try answering! Regadrs

Hi guys, first post. I have an ASUS turbo 1070 ti I picked up on Amazon for around 320$ (refurb) The thing is great for gaming but I'm getting into 3D stuff. In blender, I made a couple of large scenes and had issues with the amount of VRAM I have, and render times are okay but could be better. I was looking at possible options for replacement and the Radeon VII seemed to had the best price to performance for workstation tasks, so is it worth it to switch? thanks.

Hi all, so I've recently purchased and built my first pc. But I get really bad FPS Stutters in almost every larger game. Here are my pc specs: GPU : Strix 1070 Ti CPU : i5-9400F MOBO : B360M Bazooka SSD: KINGSTON 240GB PSU : Corsair C750M HDD : 500 GB WD RAM : Single Channel 8GB Corsair Vengence 3000MHz(I know my MOBO supports 2666 only but it was cheaper) Games I play are Rust, ARK, Fortnite, etc. This is my ssd scan

Looking for a 240hz gaming monitor. My budget is high and my PC specs are a 1070ti and 8700k. Currently I'm using my TV screen and I've come to a conclusion that I NEED to get a gaming monitor. I've been recommended the Alienware 240hz with g-sync but I am looking for other suggestions :)

My problem is that when i play for example battlefield 1 on ultra 1080p i get only like 70fps while my friend with i5 7gen/ 16ram /1060 6gb gets more than 120fps. What is wrong with my build is it makes me feel so dumb that i wasted so much money. It happens in all games. Like league of legends, state of decay, need for speed payback, total war etc. Is it possible that 8gb ram is not enough becuase everyone in internet says that 8gb for 2019 is just perfect no games need that much. Also in benchmarks i get lower results that avarage 1070ti and r7 users. It really worries me cuz ive always wanted a good pc and i worked alot to get the money.

I posted once and i found that the reason why im not getting good performance in games is that i have only 1 8gb 3200mhz stick. I use a basic 1080p 60hz 27inch monitor. But some dudes in reddit told me that my gpu is broken. Is only the ram or my gpu is also broken??

Hi guys I just bought a GTX 1070Ti and I'm going to play some games with my friend. He has a 4k TV so we're going to use that. I was just wondering though, how can I run games at 4K on my 1080p screen? I want to do this so I don't have to spend time playing around with the settings over at my friend's house, and I don't have a 4K display. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I was just wondering

Hey guys !! Im kind of the new guy here and was wondering some things. I upgraded my mobo (b450-A pro max), cpu (Ryzen 3600x) and GPU (1070ti/had a huge deal on it from a close friend) and was wondering if my GPU will be going to bottleneck my CPU. ( Sorry for the grammar, english isn't my mother tongue )

This may be a dumb question but I just got a 1080 ti for my friend extremely cheap ($200) but it has a blower-style cooler. I have a broken Gigabyte Windforce OC 1070 ti that has a functioning three fan cooler but the actually card is dead. Could I move that cooler over to the 1080 ti? Sorry if this is a stupid question for one reason or another I just cant find a straight answer online. Thanks in advance!

So after doing some research I determined that the new GPU for me would be either the 1070 ti or the Vega 56. Whichever is cheaper at the time of purchase (most likely the 1070ti though). The question is should I buy now or wait and see if there would be a good Navi / Turing equivalent by the end of the year. I consider the 1660 line a fail and think nvidia might step their game up this autumn. And AMD? What will they do? Thoughts? Upgrading from a RX 480 in case anyone wonders.

Hi I am still a noob in the PC gaming but I was just wondering whether I should buy a 2060 or a used MSI 1070 ti Titanium for $440 CAD so roughly 330 USD. *Card is not overclocked or used to mine.

Okay so, as you see in the picture, my gpu fan is blocked by the tube. I am worry that this will effect the temp of gpu. This was only position that I could put the gpu. Also I am concerning about the water flow due to the bending. Is this bad?

Hello, I am wondering what a good stress test is for a gpu to test overclocks. I have ungine engine superposition benchmark is it good to test the OC with? Whenever I use heaven or valley I see flickers even on stock settings so i don't really trust them. The guide I read for testing an OC ( https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq/safe-gpu-overclocking-guide-2016-r1-3.2384406/ ) says to use "msi kombuster". No matter how long I run it when the green line of the bottom reaches the end it closes itself. If you used it, is that normal? Also have OCCT, I use that for my cpu (even though it says 4.8 when it's at 5.0 on cinebench) is it a good stress test for gpu? Trying to get a good stress test to make sure my gpu in stable. One more thing, I don't exactly understand what "lines, artifacts, and colors are off" are exactly. As I said I see lines often with valley & heaven but never in games with a small OC I know works or stock as I mentioned. So what exactly should I be looking for when using superposition? I usually don't see black glitches, lines or jagged edges like I do in valley and heaven. If I do try in reach 2000mhz without following the guides voltage setting (that seems scary to me) superposition will kick be back during test to the ungine engine 2 screen which will make me end task via task manager. This is on a EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti FTW2.

So lately I have been overclocking my system for the first time. CPU is perfect (except in occt is say 4.8 not 5 like HWinfo says) after learning everything I could about every setting available and bios settings, no LLC on this MOBO however. Problem area is GPU OC. I have it so far on a 1070ti ftw2 I'm at 142 on core and 200 on memory after going from 175 memory to 200 I lose a bit of core mhz. from 1974 to 1962. Is that normal. One main question I have is what to do with voltage I found this "guide" yesterday. https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq/safe-gpu-overclocking-guide-2016-r1-3.2384406/ Is this only for 900 series gpu or does it work for all? Also messing with voltage on a gpu is scary to a GPU OC noobie like myself. I looked at database here as well. PC Setup/components in signature.

I am total noob. I bought EVGA 1070ti hybrid SC model. When I was installing GPU, I realized it came with 8pin to dual 6pin adapter but my PSU only has 8pin (6+2 pin) to 8pin. I heard 6pin connector is 75w and 8pin is 150w. So isnt it bascially the same even if I use 8 pin to 8pin rather than 8pin to dual 6pin??

I was so excited to move from my old laptop I got in 2012 to a modern desktop gaming rig that I put together, and expected to be blown away by the results, only to be let down... sub-60 FPS. Hardware: i5 9600k Nvidia 1070 TI (Zotac AMP! edition) 16gb 2666 DDR4 RAM (Patriot) MSI Z390-A Pro motherboard (with drivers installed from disk) I'm running on Windows 10. I installed both the Zotac and Nvidia drivers. Could this be a Java issue or a driver issue? Anyone have experience with fixing this? Screenshot from in game below. If you need any more info to help me fix this just ask, thanks!

I am kinda confused between Seasonic Bronze 620W or Cooler Master 550W Gold or Cooler Master 650W Gold ? Please advice. Thanks

I was originally planning on upgrading to an RTX 2080, but im short $100-$150 so I’m thinking of getting a 2070 instead. I’m hoping to start streaming soon (Division 2, Fortnite, Apex prob more) Is the performance worth $500? My full build as of right now: Asus z370-A motherboard i7 8700k @4.8ghz Corsair h115i rgb platnium Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 3200mhz GTX 1070 TI EVGA 750 watt 80+ Gold I dont think my 1070 TI will be capable of streaming+gaming at high fps (I play on a 1080p@240hz monitor) Should I wait until I can afford the 2080 or just buy the 2070?

Yesterday I recieved a used 1070 Ti from Gigabyte that I'm gonna use for my LAN machine. However the fans are quite loud when the card is under load, so I thought to myself: "Wouldn't it be possible to take the cooler shroud off, remove the fans and slap a couple of Noctua NF-A12x25 on?" And after thinking about it and researching a bit I concluded that this would be possible. The only problem is that the card uses non-standart PWM fan headers. I guess i just have to snip the cables off the old fans and solder them to the Noctua ones. Another option would to stil remove the shroud and fans, but plugging the Noctua fans into a normal PWM header on the motherboard and finding some software solution for linking the GPU temp to the fanspeed. Any thoughts and/or ideas are welcome.

I recently purchased a new monitor capable of 1440p/144hz/10-bit/HDR all that fancy stuff, and while my current Gigabyte 1070 ti is doing most games at 60fps or more, I have been thinking of getting a 2080 ti to achieve 144hz at 1440p. My concern is that I don’t really want to buy a 2080 ti now and then later in the year Nvidia release 30 series cards, but then again my 1070 ti is starting to show its age at this point and can’t hold a stable oc. I’m more or less just looking for options from the other users here on what you guys would do in my shoes.

I have an i5 9600k on an msi z390 pro-A MB. I have 32gb 2400 ram and a Zotac 1070 ti mini. I have been looking into upgrading the GPU to a 2060 super-2070 but my 1070ti reaches 1980-2010 mhz on its own, no overclocking on my part and my CPU I have set at 4.6 all core with a Cooler master hyper 212 tower cooler from 6 years ago. I can get 4.7 but when i go 4.8 system doesn't boot. My question is what should I upgrade Upgrade the cooling to an AIO on cpu, Upgrade 1070ti to a 2060super or 2070 Upgrade 9600k to a 9700k or 9900k I have 4 drives with 2 1tb ssd, 1 m.2 and 1 2.5in I am not to worried on cost but Its not unlimited. I built an AMD build for wife and she has a 2700x, 5700xt, on a B450. If I can get a CPU and MB for AMD I woulden't mind changing. Thanks for all the help and advise.
