Dont even know where to begin, I had posted this to several forums... with no luck. This could be just a weird combo of Video card / DP cable / Monitor that does this... this stuff is haunted. Here are my full specs : i5 3570 16gb ram GTX 1070 by Evga Newest Driver Windows 10 64bit Pro Monitor - LG 24GM77 (DP connection 144hz mode - might be the culprit) -------------------------- First of, this is not a video card issue, since I had tried 1060 by Gigabyte and same issue happens. This dude here shares the same problem with gtx 980, the only one I found online, which matches 1 to 1 he is using the same monitor as me: http://forums.evga.com/m/tm.aspx?m=2451953&fp=1&p=2 Basically when monitor wakes up from sleep - 1 out of 5 times - screen does weirdly corrupt. PC still keeps working, but if I turn monitor off and on - no signal. Restart fixes the issue 100%. I never fully put PC to sleep, just display. Images below is what it looks like. Looks like using DVI-D cable fully cures the issue. Initially thought MSI afterburner might have been it, but ya that doesnt matter. This never happened to my OLD R9 280X with the same monitor / OS / DP connection. I have so far: - Reinstalled Windows 10 clean - Tried different Nvidia video cards - Took a screen capture - which looks fine after restart So it leads me to believe, this is issue with : Current drive / DP port @ 144hz ... something goes weird when monitor tries to resume the video signal. But if anyone heard anything about this. Thanks!

Im building a new gaming machine and my concerns are about the mobo, I dont know if I should go with the MSi b150 M3 or the MSi H170 M3. The other components. GTX 1070 Founders Edition i7 6700 Samsung 750 250gb Fractal Design 600W 16GB HyperX DDR4 2133MHz The B150 mobo is 20$ cheaper and will set my build at exactly 1300$ (swedish stores) so what do you think, wwill it bottleneck my setup?

Hi, I´m a beginner here and just found that there are way to many model for each graphic card for example the gtx 1070. here in this page you find 23 models of it: http://www.microcenter.com/search/search_results.aspx?N=4294966937+4294854051+4294852533&NTX=&NTT=&NTK=all&page=1&sortby=pricelow Are the quality of 1070 graphic cards of asus, gigabite, MSI etc... different? if yes, which are considered to be the best? I just don´t understand many of the infos there, so I asume the more/higher the better it is, but may be I´m wrong. can you correct me where the more/higher is not the better ? And the parts I really don´t get are in bold. What should I expect in those topics? I really could be grateful, if you could help me to better understand what I should have in mind to buy the best option or advice friends. Hello all, I have a Zotac amp!extreme gtx 1070. I was overclocking my card until suddenly heaven 4.0 crashed and the screen was filled with white boxes. Whenever I turned on my computer, the screen would fill up with the white boxes and then the BSOD: VIDEO SCHEDULER INTERNAL ERROR. I then turned off my computer and disconnected it from the wall for about 2 hours. When I got back on, I could actually use my computer but whenever I started MSI Afterburner or Evga PrecisionX OC, my screen would become a bunch of white squares. I uninstalled and installed both the Evga and Msi program multiple times (i only had one of those programs installed on my computer at once for a fear of the programs conflicting). I also uninstalled anything that had the name Nvidia on my PC and reinstalled it. but still the same errors occur. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I apologize if I left out any information.

I want to use an i3 6100 on an asrock z170 extreme4 motherboard, with an EVGA gtx 1070 ftw. I was curious if the cpu will bottleneck the 1070 in any way. If it will how bad will it impact performance? Thanks in advance!

I currently have a gtx 970 in my gaming rig and have enough money to upgrade to a 1060 or rx480. Should I upgrade to one of those now or wait for some high end polaris gpus to come in?

Hi all I was going to pick up this card, but then read about early artefact issues (supposedly related to the memory used) with them. Is this still an issue? I can't find a definitive answer, which is a shame, as it does seem to be one of the quietest 1070's around, which is what I'm after. I currently have a 1070 FTW, but lost in all regards. Cool whines like a b*****d, not a great overclocker (2000mhz tops), and runs hot and loud. And others I should consider? Using a mini ITX case with space for a dual slot card only, so the big ones are out...

So right now I'm sitting on a i5-4670k, a GTX 770 2GB, and 16GB of RAM at 1600MHz. I considering buying a GTX 1070 or GTX 1060 and that's all. But with Skylake and DDR4 out, and newer games becoming more and more demanding, I've also been considering a full system upgrade or just building a whole new rig and selling/gifting my old one. So I'm just wondering what people who aren't myself think and would do. suggestions Thing to know: >I don't have any plans to use VR >Money IS an object, I'm not loaded >I like turtles >I'd like to play CS @ 144fps and most other games I'll be fine with at 60fps or more and maybe 1440p if I get a monitor that supports it.

Hi, im thinking about upgrade to a 1070 but there is so many to choose from wich makes it kind of confusing and hard to choose I was looking at 3 different 1070 but idk wich one is better https://www.amazon.com/GeForce-Founders-Graphics-Cards-GTX1070-8G/dp/B01GKGLZJC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474212026&sr=8-1&keywords=nvidia%2B1070%2Bfounders&th=1 https://www.amazon.com/GeForce-Founders-Graphics-Cards-GTX1070-8G/dp/B01JHQSZ5Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474212026&sr=8-1&keywords=nvidia%2B1070%2Bfounders&th=1 https://www.amazon.com/GeForce-Founders-Graphics-Cards-GTX1070-8G/dp/B01IPVTHL8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474212026&sr=8-1&keywords=nvidia%2B1070%2Bfounders&th=1 the founders edition is much more expensive in my country then the other once is it because its better or becuase its the founders edition?

Hey, I'v ordered a gtx 1070 ftw from EVGA .. i have a core i3 2130 3.4 ghz processor ... how bad will the performance bottleneck be? does anyone has this setup?
-
I don't know if this is normal or not but one of my fans isn't spinning even though the rest are. I know this may be because that part of the card isn't hot or something like that but it's disturbing. I know about the silence mode and I enjoy it quite a bit but this one fan thing bothers me.

I'm looking to purchase a GTX 1070 but cannot decide on which board partner to settle with. 1070s seem to be not much affected by the scarce amount of 1060s and their pricing which is why I decided to go with a 1070. I was looking at the EVGA GTX 1070 FTW but wanted to also know what other people thought was the "definitive" aftermarket version of the 1070. If you have a 1070 please post what your average fps in the comments below including: Game, Resolution, CPU, Version of 1070

Hi all Installed my 1070 into my new case today (the above), already somewhat fearing what may happen to the card under load. As expected, due to the restrictive space below the GPU in the case (something I only thought passingly about), the card rapidly heated up to the mid 60's, at nearly 85% fan speed. The ACX cooler is really quiet, but even it was near jet engine like. Airflow is 1x 200mm (yes, 200) intake at the front, 2x 120mm at the top, and 120mm exhaust at the back. I'm still WELL within the return period. Do I initiate and get a Founder's instead? Or a different 1070 model? I feel like a founders would actually be cooler and more stable, in a rare case of it having an advantage over the more standard open faced cards. Thoughts?

i have a gtx 1060 and a 5ms 1080p 60hz monitor, literally the typical budget gaming monitor, what i dont know what to do is do i want to upgrade my monitor to either a 1ms 1440p 144hz/1ms 4k 60hz monitor (havent decided yet), or do i want to but a gtx 1070 first? i play at 1440p on my 1080p monitor at the moment already with nvidias DSR. but i dont know what to buy first.

I have a 650W G2 PSU from EVGA (which has two video cables, each with 1x 6+2 pin, and 1x 6 pin), and the 1070 comes with 2 6 to 8 pin adapters. I was wondering if (for the purposes of tidier cables) I could get away with using ONE cable coming from the PSU, using its 'in-built' 6+2 pin, and then using the adapter given to me by EVGA to use the other 6 pin and convert it to an 8 pin? I'm pretty sure this will be enough to power the card, but I'm not 100% sure. Thanks!

Im gonna build this rig when i get back from Holiday In november, as i work as a bartender tips are crazy in Nov-Des in Norway. Opted to change out the usual 6700k with a 6800k, going dominator instead of vengance and doing custom vs AIO CPU: i7 6800k Mobo: Asus x99 A II LGA 2011-v3 Ram: Corsair Dominator DDR4 3200 4 x 8 GB Case: Phantek Enthoo Primo Storage: Kingston SSDNow 480 GB x 2 Intel 600p m.2 256 GB WD RED 3 TB Cooloing: Custom Loop w/ 2 x 480 rad, 270 res, and d5 pump. Corsair HX1000i Whitesleeved Cable mod The phanteks case is pretty big and I know i can get 2 1070 for a little bitt more then what a 1080 costs, is it worth it? From what i have seen 2x1070 gives you a pretty badass performance in 4k and the price for 2x1080 is the same price as the rest of rig without cooling. And in the Phanteks case I think is gonna look nice with 2x1070 and custom painted SLi Brigde What are your take on this?

Now That Most Of The 10 Series Laptop Cards Are Out, which One Of These would be the best pick? I need something under 2.5 Kgs. 15.6" max. Would love RGB and 4K display w/ touch, but not a huge necessity. Also don't really care bout G-sync. I intend on playing AAA games on high (if not ultra) at around 60FPS at 1080p. And I have a budget of 2500 USD max! Thanks in advance!

Original Article: http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2016/09/msi-vr-one-backpack-pc-details-specs/ And here it is. I wonder how many more of these backpack VR "solutions" is going to come out. My criticisms would be 1) they state it will only be 1.5 hours of battery life & 2) HEAT!!! Oh well, still an interesting concept and surprisingly small form factor.

Hi, i got a 1070 a couple days ago and i had to re-install windows once i put the card in, it was working fine on GTA V then the gpu usage went down to about 30-50% from 98-99%. All the settings are the same, power options. I reinstalled the game and the drivers. My specs are i7 4790 and of course the 1070 and 3x 1T.B. Hard Drives and a 240 gb ssd a gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3

Hi all I was considering upgrading my H7 from Cryorig (will miss it) to go AIO. My case is the Phanteks Evolv ITX, and I was wondering (when paired with a 1070 FTW) if the radiator would actually fit inside the case? It has space for the radiator in the front or (I believe) top of the case. Does anybody have this combo? It seems like a great cooler, and I'm keen to see if it'll fit. Thanks all

Hey guys! Been looking forward to building a PC, I was originally looking at a pre-built gtx 1060 config in the $1200 range, but after further research I've decided I'll build my own instead, and this is what I've come up with so far. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/vzbrvV Do you guys see any issues? I have a hard drive already btw
