So I saved up about $160 for a GPU. I'm going for a 1050Ti and I knew I couldn't get it new but I hate used stuff on eBay or Craig's list because you never know if it's gonna work, have all the accessories, etc. So that's where refurbished comes in. Does anyone know where I could get GTX 1050Ti for $150-$160 refurbed? Please nobody tell me to just buy new or used or whatever because that's not what I'm asking. What I'm asking is good, reliable places that have gpus refurbished for fair prices. thanks

Hello people, I have just recently found this website, (literally 5 mins, ago) and it looks to be an awesome one. A lot of people replying and helping folks out, on their tech questions. Which is why I decided to create a post myself, asking for your help. I bought a new laptop about 7 months ago, mainly to play games, and to also work as school laptop in my upcoming years in high school. While this laptop definitely isn't meant for big battery life, and only for gaming, I still bought it mainly because I use it at my home, and will almost never bring it to school. But you never know when you need to bring your laptop. There is another reason to why I decided to go with a laptop instead of a Desktop, but unfortunately, it is a very personal matter, and I don't wish to talk about it. All I can say is I just could not buy a desktop. Now to my question. I have basic knowledge of computers, and that is what helped me pick it out (duh). Btu I am sure that there are so many more pros and cons that I have missed out on. Which is why I am hoping that some good soul could help this noobie understand why this is a good or bad laptop. You could also recommend me to better laptops, or anything that would broaden my knowledge of computers. To summarize: >Wanted a LAPTOP for gaming and other household purposes. >Budget: about $1000 >Battery life is not extremely important. This is the laptop I bought: https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Legion-Y520-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B06XWFCKYX If I am asking for too much, then I sincerely apologize.

Hi everyone, I'm going to buy a gtx 1050ti windforce oc, wich uses a 6 pin conector, and the problem is that i have a generic 500w psu, currently i'm running a msi r7750 power edition, i5 3470s, ram 12gb 1600mhz, 2 1tb 7200rpm hdd and my motherboard is a msi h61m p20 g3, my psu doesn't have a 6pin connnector (I'm using a molex to 6 pin connector adapter) i'm going to buy a new psu in like 2 weeks. So... should i use the 1050ti with this configuration? or should i wait to the psu? (i know this is a recipe in for disaster) thank you for your time (sorry for my english btw is not perfect)

Hello all, So I was playing with my friend last night on PUBG and we were talking about our fps and we realized that his similarly speced system got nearly twice the frames as me. We were both running on 1920 x 1080 and high settings and he was getting 144 fps while I barely managed 75. All our drivers are up to date and i am not experiencing any thermal issues in my system. I will put our system specs down below, maybe that will help get to the bottom of this. Thanks. Hi all, long time Linus subscriber, first time posting (and sadly not bragging) This is the second PC Tower I have built. After building my first AMD 64x Dual Core tower in 2007 and learning about computers similar to how Linus grew up with PC's I tried to future proof this system a few years ago. This tower still holds up great with everything, starting to think about a complete upgrade when the time is right. I saw on Facebook today that Linus was dusting off an old PC so I decided to give mine a dusting too. I take my PC to my mates about twice a week so cable management is non-existing. ----Tower---- Full Size Tower - In Win GR one Motherboard - Intel DH67CL Media Series CPU - Intel i7 3770 RAM - 16GB Corsair 1333mhz (4x4GB) GPU 16x - ASUS Nvidia 1050ti GPU 1x - ASUS Radeon R9 270X PCI Slot3 1x - PCI 2xSATA Port Adaptor OS Drive - Kingston HyperX Fury SSD 240GB Storage Drives - Internal - 750GB HDD Hot Swap - 1TB HDD+250GB HDD External - 2TB HDD USB3.0 PSU - Aerocool VX-750 Optical Drive - DVD+-RW # of Fans - 12 In total ----Accessories---- Monitors - Benq 27" RL2755 1080p - Benq 20" 720p - Dell 20" 720p Keyboard - Corsair K55 Mouse - Gamertech XM-5250 Mouse Pad - Logitech G240 Webcam - Logitech C922 Speakers - Logitech X-230 2.1ch Headset - Logitech G430 Other - Bluetooth dongle WiFi dongle SD Card Reader

I decided to see what I could squeeze out of my Pny 1050ti I bought at the beginning of the year. I read up on overclocking with MSI Afterburner and read a few posts here on the forums about results on 1050ti's. http://a.co/1V3XGwE According to GPUZ the card clocks at... Base: 1291MHz Boost: 1392MHz Mem: 1752MHz Which is what is advertised. From what I saw getting 100MHz overclock was typical but my card reached a overclock of... Base: 1516MHz [+225] Boost: 1617MHz Mem: +250 (CPUZ does not show the overclock and the benchmark value is wrong on both base and oc'd) I bumped clocks by +25MHz each round and ran a 10 minute benchmark till I saw artifacting at +250 Base. I tried to get more than +225 but it would begin to stutter past it. Same for the memory clock. Is this a typical result? I feel like this is actually a pretty high overclock compared to what I read about the 1050ti. Most places I read reported +100MHz being the goal. Edit: Temps were steady maxed at 62c under load with the overclock.

generic cards Should I buy a sketchy Chinese GTX 1050ti
aiden_mcmeme posted a topic in Graphics Cards
I was on eBay when I cam across this, it'S a generic GTX 1050ti for only C $88.34 (60 or so US $). I'm Currently using a GT1030 and have been looking to upgrade, the seller has good reviews and they have a 30 day return policy. Should I risk it? -
I3 8100 with 1050ti will it bottleneck? Tharmaltech lite power 450w is it ok for power delivery?

As you all know, GPUs are not cheap, especially where I live, so, instead of getting a 1060 6GBs, I've been considering the idea of the 1050 Ti that one store owner offered me. It's more or less 40% cheaper than the 1060s that I have found. Thing is, would this 1050 Ti be a downgrade? Some numbers are lower, but others are higher. The 1060s are a lot more pricey, but I still can pay it I you guys think that the 1050 is not a good idea. I'm not really searching for an upgrade, I was pretty fine with the 280X, but don't want a downgrade either. I'll leave the specs of the two cards here. I'm not good with these numbers. Hello! So I'm looking to have a dual monitor setup and since my gtx 1050ti only has two ports on it that i'll use (don't wanna go with vga), I want to know if it would work to use displayport for one and hdmi for the other? Also if other options like a displayport to hdmi cable or an hdmi splitter would be better options than different kinds of ports being used? I don't think there would be any problems but... I'm completely new to this and want to know before I buy my second monitor.

Would I be able to run a 1050ti and a quadro p1000 for separate monitors? 1050ti for one and quadro for the other. I wanna know if there would be any problems with switching screens or bringing tabs over between them. Also would 2d animation work benifit from a quadro compared to a 1050ti if it was also powering two screens? (I'm not very knowledgeable on graphics cards so sorry if this sounds like an idiotic question)

My 1050ti runs games a bit slow on mostly low settings and I want to see if I can push it to do more as I don’t have the money to buy a 1060 or better.

So recently I got a pre-built gaming system from MSI, the Nightblade Mi3 (https://www.msi.com/Desktop/Nightblade-MI3/Specification) The specifications that I chose are the CPU i5-7400 and the GTX 1050Ti. My main concern is the PSU as it's 350W is quiet low for any future upgrades. However, this PC comes with the ability to have an i7-7770 CPU and GTX 1060 GPU, There is also currently 8GB RAM inside, the upgrade possibility is all the way up to 32GB RAM This would still be powered by the 350W that is already in the PC case. Seeing as the PSU is Flex ATX, I won't really be able to go upwards from 350W, But does this 350W PSU allow me to upgrade my GPU to either the GTX 1060 or the GTX 1070? The 1050Ti is awesome, just not quiet enough for my needs. I know that PSU's are all subject to quality rather than wattage, but the 350W PSU in the Nightblade is supposed to be of fairly decent quality. The PSU manufacturer is the FSP Group. Any tips on what GPU I should upgrade to? Will the upgrade from 1050Ti to 1060 be too small to actually notice?

Hey. Recently I bought a gigabyte 1050ti 4gb of edition GPU. It's working great and all but I was wondering if you can get a backplate for it like it does on the normal 1050 2gb model. Completely for aesthetics but I just want it to look a little cleaner
