Hello, I am new to this forum and I don't speak very well english so i try to be as coherent as i can. So i have a problem with my pc that it causes some mini freezes when i am gaming or under heavy load as rendering movies or something that stress the cpu, gpu and hdd. When rendering or gaming the computer witll make like a cliking sound like when you turn off the pc, and in adobe premiere when rendering the remaining time stops and the hdd goes to 100% with 0 read and write speed, the PC does not have any problem it still works i can browse on chrome mozilla or watch some youtube, but the render stops and it continues after some time when the HDD usage goes to normal. The tricky part is that i tried everything and it seems i found the problem witch is absurd....WHENEVER I disconect the ethernet cable form my pc or when i turn it off from adapter settings these problems does not appear, it works perfectly fine...i tried changing my hddds and tried it one by one and they are all ok....if i try to render somethign with only one HDD and ethernet cable pluged in the problem is still there...I tried with a wireless adapter and this problem does not occur it works perfectly fine but with wirreless adapter i have lag and sometimes disconection form the internet.... The problem started the 3 day after i upgraded my internet form 12 Mbps to 500 Mbps I had this problem before with freezes, the pc would become unusable, the only solution beeing force shut down, It happened only in games like GTA V and CS:GO but it was fixed with a 250 gb samsung ssd, but now i have minifreezes that cause some discomfort when playing something. I forgot to mention: When i install windows 10 or or 8.1 or 7 the same problem with the lan adapter....but the first day it works fine without freezing but after some time it starts to mini freeze with no updates done to windows and with only the drivers form the manufactor which is strange because it works fine at first...idk what is the problem. All drivers are up to date...i tried different versions of drivers for every component, older versions latest versions the problem its not with the components it coming from the lan port...I even brought a new lan board and the problem is still there. PC specs: -Windows 10 Pro 64bit -Intel Pentium g3260 3.3ghz dual core -Ram 6gb DDR3(4gb+2gb kingstone) -GPU NVIDIA Asus gt730 2gb 128bit DDR3 -3 HDD seagate 1T -1 SSD Samsung 850 EVO 250GB -PSU rated power 200W, max 460W The system was pre-built I only added 2 HDD and 1 SSD it has a year and a little since i bought it. Temps are normal...I tried every stress test i checked my HDD they are in good standing. Please every piece of information is welcome.

Hello internet, so I bought my gaming computer roughly one year ago, I built it myself. I'll list specs at the end, however, I'm in extreme need of some help with my disk usage problem. My computer boots to my desktop then immediately goes straight to 100% disk usage and under task manger it shows absolutely nothing using it. It's been like this know for awhile now about 6 months. I've tried all of the internet tricks that I felt comfortable trying, such as disabling super-fetch, which I did and it still does it, so now I'm consulting online help. Please enlighten me with the knowledge to figure this out. I have wiped my computer completely clean once before to attempt to fix it, which it did for about a month and then it returned. Hello for 2 months now my computer has had 100% Disk Usage almost all the time along with startups that take 20 minutes to an hour before it is able to open up the windows menu. I have googled this issue and I must have spent 12 hours trying to solve this problem. I have a Toshiba Satellite C55-C and I have had it for 2 years. I have used it for content creation like 3D rendering and game design (I know that it has integrated graphics and a pretty bad CPU but 12 year old me didn't know what that meant at the time) and school. I have tried disabling things like Superfetch, BITS, and Windows Search. I updated my drivers and I even did a factory reset and nothing worked. I am 14 and school takes up a lot of time so right now I can't afford to buy another computer. If you guys have any solutions please let me know. Thank you very much! Hey guys,so basically my sytem was doing fine until last week or so. I was able to run my favourite games stable at high framerates with an average low cpu use and high gpu use like you would expect it ( Overwatch was running at constant 250-300 fps on 1080p low). Now since last week something has changed that without me doing anything. As soon as i start any 3D application my CPU usage spikes up to constant 100% without reason. My GPU is completely bottlenecked and runs at 40-50% max. Both temps are fine however. In games like Overwatch or BF1 i am constantly getting the bad connectivity symbol and the games feel a bit laggy and my shots are not connecting sometimes. I already checked for background programs to hurt the cpu but it is only the games that are taking like 90 percent of the cpu load. Minimizing the Witcher 3 and trying to maximize it again even caused my system to shut down. Both the gpu and cpu do not get thermal throttled and games use all 4 cores. So here is what i already tried to fix this: installing old nvidia drivers, resetting both overclocks, reset bios, clean intstalation windows, set priorities to low and high, change compability mode, set max prerendered frames to 1, uninstall gpu and cpu in the device manager, used driver booster to update the driversMy specs: i5 6600k OC to 4,2 Ghz, gtx 1070 oc, 16GB RAM, Win 10 ProIf you can think of anything that causes this weird problem please let me know (and please dont tell me that the games are just maximizing my cpu potential and that this is all fine, there is definetly a performance loss)Thanks is advance

Hey, I was downloading something on steam when I found that it was downloading at 70KB/S, so I opened task manager to close whatever was causing it and I found a service called Service host: diagnostic policy service using 100% of my disc or 12mb/s. I restarted and still the same, I have run anti-virus that found nothing and I have gone through most of the diagnostic things in windows with no luck. I then left it in the background for the last few days and still nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Kinda noob question. I notice that my 1700X, so far in games like Doom and Max Payne 3. I notice that ONE and only ONE of the 8 Cores and 16 Threads tend to run very high Usage, around 90 - 99%. Is this normal for this CPU? Total CPU Usage normally is only about 20 - 30%. I'm gaming on 1440p and Windows 10 if that matters. Paired with VEGA 64 Liquid and 16GB RAM @ 2133 (STOCK)

When i am playing Playerunknowns Battlegrounds my CPU load is always at 90-100%. When i am broswing the internet it is about 20-30%. I have it Overclocket to about 4.2Ghz. Im not sure, but my friends seem to only have about 50% load with waaaay older Cpu's. Is anything wrong with my System? Is there maybe an important driver i missed? My Specs are: -Gtx 970 -ASUS ROG STRIX Z270H -16Gb of Ram As a CPU-cooler i use a BeQuiet! Dark Rock 3 pro ps: Im new in this forum and english is not my nativ language so pleas dont kill me

As It says I posted few days back I got tiny bit of thermal paste in the cpu socket so i got some isopropyl alcohol 100% and a very very very very soft art brush *NEW* and cleaned the socket following the pins directions in the socket but then I removed the heat sinks on Chips on CPU left side got replacement pads and the south bridge. So I also got some bigger art brushes and cleaner the whole board 4 times even inside sata ports + pci sockets ect ect and amazingly my pc runs 6c cooler and got a 15 fps boost in bf1 25 in csgo 35 css as of this post I am writing. Also I got a new cpu cooler Noctua NH=U12S CPU Cooler dual fans. I also sat it in front of a warm area or heater on very low to get inside the areas that are hard to reach to dry. Since isopropyl alcohol 100% evaporates that was good BUT before anyone does this remember it can destroy the mobo, sockets ect so prob best to do it to a old slow pc or a cheap on and see how you go. To begin I have 2 Gigabyte GTX 970's in my system. One of my GTX 970's fan was no longer working (it would not spin smoothly anymore) and the other 2 fans on the card were spinning at top speed all the time. I decided to remove the singular broken fan, as it was doing nothing sitting in the GPU getting stuck in it's rotation. After the removal, as to be expected, the other 2 remaining working fans still rotated at 100%. This was about a year ago, and I have tried multiple things to remedy it but nothing works. Here is a list: 1. The GPU doesn't respond to fan controlling software such as MSI afterburner or OC Guru. 2. I have switched the physical location of the GPUs in the PCI slots multiple times. 3. I have taken the GPU apart multiple times, checking and redoing connections as well as cleaning the pins and re-applying thermal paste. 4. More recently, I successfully updated my BIOS for the first time with no problems. I'm completely out of ideas at this point. The only silence from the fans I get is if I go into the BIOS, but when windows is booted up the fans rev up and stay like that until the computer is turned off. I have not contacted Gigabyte yet, but that's probably my next step

SORRY ABOUT THE LONG POST!I've been trying to help a good friend of mine fix his problems for over 8 hours....We can't find a solution. His CPU/APU (a10 7800 3.5ghz) is always at 98-100% load, even with nothing open. Nothing sticks out on the Task manager either...Open up skype, and then it says skype 50% cpu, but everything else is at 0 - 2%. (cpu is still at 100% here btw). Heres a list of things I've tried.-We've done several scans with malwarebytes and roguekiller in both normal mode and safe mode. It cleaned up a lot of stuff, but still same problem. (Took a lot of time, his hard-drive is nearly full. 30gb free)--We've ran the SFC command and the DISM command. Nothing. ---Fully updated windows.----Uninstalled, deleted clean and removed every single AMD software / driver on the computer. Reinstalled Crimson and updated with all the newest drivers. -----Removed all other anti-virus's on his computer, installed norton. On the AMD System Monitor app, It shows the cpu at 100% load aswell, with the gpu at 0% load. Even with games and or apps open, the gpu stays at 0%. The integrated graphics go from 1-100% load randomly, even with nothing open. I'm under-educated on how the AMD dual-graphic stuff works, but I feel like the APU is always under load because its compensating for the GPU, that is doing absolutely nothing. The GPU is enabled, and in working condition. There was a brief 10 minute period where the CPU went back down to 10-15% with skype and a few youtube videos open, then it randomly spiked again and has been 98-100% since. I'm open to all suggestions, i'm really completely out of ideas now. Please give feedback.AMD a10 a7800 @3.5ghz 4 cores.8 GB standard ddr3 ram1tb Standard Hard-driveRadeon R7 240 2gb.

Hi guys, i have aissue on my new bought ssd Crucial BX500 960GB. I bought two of these 1 install on my main pc, while another one on my PS4 Pro: 1. When transferring file through the ssd, starting its run fine but after 2-3min it seems stuck with 100% but show 0kbps in task manager. 2. On PS4 Pro, the drive seem have write issue and its slow down my download speed intermittently at around 2-3mb/s (usually on 30mb/s). No issue on original hdd before. No issue on my internet connection and already claim warranty for both drive but still have the same issue. Any idea?

I'm despair on a strange problem. My system runs since almost 2 years without any problems. Since about a few weeks I got the problem that when I'm playing a game like overwatch, after a few minutes, textures and 3D models starting to disappear. After a while the whole game will freeze. When I try to tap out the window the other applications in the background starting to freeze and becoming unresponsive.First thing that came to my head was the RAM. But after I opened the task manager, I saw that the main SSD (Samsung 960 Pro m.2 on DIMM.2) "active time" jumped to 100% and stays that high. Then I have tried to reproduce this behaivor. I can easily do it when I run Furmark on both GPUs. After a few seconds, SSD jumps to 100% and applications starting to freeze. The strange thing is, it will not happen when I only use one GPU. But it's not one of both GPUs that produce this problem. I've tried GPU 1 and 2 separately without any problems. when I use both, yea... you know. It's not a temperature problem. Both GPUs run under water. The SSD temperature is on a normal level. The system is not OCI have updated some of the motherboards drivers in the last few weeks in a month so I can't really say when the problem began. What I've already tried to fix this behavior: Installed the newest GPU driver and one of February Removed Norton Anti-Virus Check the system for malware Installed all current drivers from the Asus website Installed Samsung NVMe Driver 3.0, 3.1 and the Windows NVMe default driver Closed all background applications before testing Switched from BIOS1 running UEFI 1704 to BIOS2 running on UEFI 0802 Reset UEFI settings on 1704 to default DIMM.2 over PCH instead CPU Disable SuperFetch Disable PCIe power saving in Windows Updated Windows 10 to 1903 Samsung Magician says "State: Good" and "Newest firmware installed; 4B6QCXP7" Removed all ASUS crapware PC-Specs OS: Windows 10 Pro (1903) CPU: Intel Core i9-7900X (delidded) Motherboard: Asus ROG Rampage VI Extreme (UEFI 1704) RAM: G.SKill TridentZ RGB 64GB GPU: 2x EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti K|NGP|N Hydro Copper SSD 1: Samsung 960 Pro M.2 1TB (on DIMM.2 Socket; Firmware 4B6QCXP7) SSD 2: Samsung 850 PRO 2.5" 2TB PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 T2 SLI-Bridge: ZOTAC SLI HB Bridge / 2 Slot Any ideas, what the problem could be? The last thing I can try is to reinstall Windows but I'm not sure if this could fix that problem. The whole behavior makes no sense for me. I'm gonna cry :( My baby is so sick :'( :DThank you

I just got a new Ryzen 5 3600 and the CPU fan is working at 100% as soon as I start the PC and never changes even if my PC is completely idle. I have a MSI Gaming Plus B450 motherboard. My cooler is a 120mm CoolerMaster AIO. Can't find anything in the BOIS related to fan speed. (Although i'm no expert with this BOIS)

gtx1080 ti seahawk MSI GTX1080 Ti Seahawk X random fan speed 100%
akman posted a topic in Graphics Cards
Good day to y'all. unfortunately I am not the type to be active on forums or even ask for help, I try my best to fix things to my best knowledge, but in this case, I am at a dead end and I appreciate any help or information I can get. Back in 2017 I got my new system. One year later, my chassis fan of my GPU (it has two fans, one on the chassis and one on the AIO cooler it comes with) started to spin at 100% fan speed, resulting at cool temperatures but at a very high noise level. Until today, in 2019, my GPU has been RMA'd twice, both times with the result "NTF" (no trouble found). The issue is, that it happens very randomly. It can go for days without doing it. Once it starts, it may stop or it may not. I figured, that while the PC is shut down and no power running into it, unplugging the 8 pin and 6 pin power connectors and plugging them back in fixes the immediate issue of the fans spinning at 100% but only for a limited time. It can start back up at any time and it does not seem to matter, whether it's running a game or completely idle. Sometimes I boot the PC and everything is nice an quiet and suddenly the chassis fan would start spinning at 100%. I've attached screenshots of GPU-Z as well as Hardware Monitor, so you can see all the details as well as all my specs. If you however require any more information, I'll be glad to provide it. I'd like to thank everyone in advance by taking your time to attend to my issue and hope everyone has a great day. Take care, akman -
so a couple of days ago ( Sunday March 24th ) i did a windows update on my alienware laptop before this update my laptop worked perfectly fine and i had no issues then after this update, my hard drive would not stop running at 100%, and no matter what i did, i could not for the life of me not make it run 100% so then i started doing all the trouble shooting in the world, until my laptop became so corrupted that i was forced to completely wipe the hard drives ( they are in raid 0 ) and do a fresh install of windows 10 home and after a fresh install of windows 10 home, i am STILL getting the same problem and even after this, i tried all the trouble shooting techniques from stop certain services, messing around with drivers, messing around with virtual memory and for the life of me, nothing is working at all and its really starting to frustrate me because this should not be a problem at all, as i said my laptop was working perfectly fine after this, so there is no excuse for this nonsense so if there is any tech wizards out there that can spread some magic over i would greatly appreciate it my specs: 18" alienware laptop i7 4700MQ 16 GB of ram ( don't know the speed or type, but its probably dd3 ) geforce 770m graphic card x2 in SLI x2 750 GB hard drives in raid 0 windows 10 home

I just upgraded to a ryzen 7 3700x. After finally installing drivers, windows, and games I found out that when I put my computer to sleep the gpu fan spins at 100% indefinitely the same also happens when I shutdown the system. When I wake up or turn on the PC it always reboots as well. ALL DRIVERS ARE LATEST. Windows 10 Pro fully updated. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hello guys. I have an issue with my brand new nvme m.2 ssd from gigabyte (link to ssd). Due to lack of more than one m.2 slot on my asus b350-f gaming I had to use a pcie adapter for the ssd (link to adapter) which I put in the bottommost pcie slot which is an x4 gen 2.0 slot. Since I will be only using this ssd for a steam game library the actual pcie 2.0 bandwidth bottleneck with this ssd doesn't bother me since there is no gain in game load times past the speeds of SATA ssds. The problem I have are random spikes of 100% drive usage when copying game files from a 1tb 5400 hdd during which time the hard disk usage drops to near 0% (see picture) Disk 0 being the 5400rpm hdd and disk 4 being the nvme ssd. I have no idea if this is normal performance but in my opinion the nvme m.2 really shouldn't be hitting 100% usage when copying files from a 5400rpm drive to it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi. I just upgraded my power supply and graphics card. The problem is I have noticed stuttering in games and Heaven benchmark. I also seem to have high CPU usage -- below I have an attached CPU usage when using Windows normally. What's likely to be causing this? One user told me it could be a CPU bottleneck (I only have a Ryzen 3 2200G), but I have also read online that it could be the fault of the PSU. Thanks in advance Specs: Ryzen 3 2200G GTX 1660 Super StormX BEQUIET BN297 (Power supply) x2 4GB DDR4 @ 2400MHz

Hi. I have been noticing some delays and lagginess when using Windows (opening programs, typing, scrolling, moving cursor etc. etc.) Looking at the screenshot below, my CPU spiked up to 100% when I opened up Chrome. So my question is, is that normal? This may help me understand the cause of the lag. Thanks in advance Edit: you can also see my GPU usage spiked as well.
