Hey guys, I have successfully installed macOS 14 on my pc with an Intel Haswell type CPU using OpenCore & Olarila. But I can't boot it without the USB installer. I know that it has something to do with the EFI partition not containing the macOS efi file but I don't know where to get it (maybe you can give me a link or something) and I'm not entirely sure how to get it where it belongs. Hi, im not sure if we're allowed to discuss this here (if not i'll prob try on another forum), but i cant get hackintosh to work on my lenovo t460. i've tried following the steps on https://github.com/simprecicchiani/ThinkPad-T460s-macOS-OpenCore, but im reallyu confused. i've booted from the drive and selected "efi (dmg)" it shows the apple logo and the loading bar, as soon as it gets to about half way the system reboots, no matter what i do, i've checked the bios settings etc..... i do however get "no schema loadearly context 4 <drivers>" on boot but i really dont know. thanks!!! (i do own an imac i just want a temp replace for a macbook as i cant afford one right now and need to do music production on the go)

I feel that the right left hand side of laptop little bit heating my hand. it increase by the time so I tried to find it by opening the laptop. I saw a little chip which is like a processor. So, why it's overheating in Hackintosh. why not on windows and linux. It not generate to much heat at a time. The heat increase by the time. In 2-3 hour it goes around 85c degree in inside. Outside around 50c. It could damage the motherboard. Anybody can help me! to find out a solution. Please.

Any recommendation for a super cheap mini PC that works well enough with Hackintosh? And yes, I expect used stuff, and I'm open to just parts themselves (i.e. no SSD, RAM, etc.), or any good deals out there. I just want something that performs better than a 2014 8GB Mac Mini without breaking bank.

I don't think LTT Fourms might be the best place to discuss hackintosh but I have spent 9 hours on my EFI and it is not yet working. I have had 1 person look through my EFI and they can not find anything that would prevent it from continuing. Anyone who has enough time, and is expierienced with hackintosh, please look at my EFI I am so lost. That looks sweet, really gives dimensions to the light color.. is it a hackintosh or just the case?

Hackintosh is the opposite, running Mac OS without having to buy Apple hardware.

Hey Everyone! I've been trying to install MacOS Monterey on My Hackintosh consisting of: CPU: i5-3470 GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1050 RAM: 8GB DDR3-1600(apparently) and it has been constantly crashing if I boot into anything non Big Sur. No matter if its an Update Partition prepared by an OTA update or simply booting into a USB and yes, I followed the Update guide for Updating macOS on OpenCore step by step and even triple checked everything. Attached are my last log file and my EFI folder. EDIT: CpuTscSync.kext was broken. Got some older version off of some Chinese guys git repo, reset NVRAM and successfully rebooted into the Monterey installer. opencore-2023-05-07-154543.txt EFI.zip

Hi @whispous, I think @idh1oi12jkl31jk2bgve3jk12b has a mac or hackintosh that is stuck on that version due to or mac hardware being that old that it's no longer supported by apple in newer releases or the hackintosh setup would break when upgrading (probably also due to a mix of hardware dependent reasons and software fiddly diddly to make things work). Having said that, to answer @idh1oi12jkl31jk2bgve3jk12b his question. I think you'r'e heavily dependent on what was written in change-logs to assess if the code would still run. Otherwise you'd have to go trial & error I'm afraid. Maybe firefox would be a better alternative than chromium based browsers on such hardware? My experience is that firefox works well as browser way after os support by Apple etc. was lost.

Okay I am not here to provide solutions but you can install Windows ON A MAC??? Sure I know its like very hard right now because of Apple silicon, and before when they used Intel chips, it was possible, but I thought not through a straight way. I thought their firmware won't allow anything other than MacOS. So, what's the point of a Hackintosh anyway? I am confused!

This morning my hackintosh system just decided for usb drives to mount which means my iPod is working through macos. I started dumping music on it and I decided to put the WAN show on my iPod because you can do that. Even though I downloaded the podcast from Apple Podcasts the podcast art didn't transfer over. Who else listens to the podcast this way or do you guys just watch the VOD?

No. I have not. 1. I don't know what that is. 2. I've never messed around with Linux before. Only Windows and Hackintosh. Would you mind explaining to me the process you're talking about?

Well firstly, no version of mac OS is available through apple for non apple hardware. So you’d be building a hackintosh which is a fun project, but a terrible daily use experience. Secondly, some versions of macOS that come after the introduction of Apple’s m silicon were designed exclusively for arm and therefore won’t work on a i3 10100f.

I believe not, as the Hackintosh boot loader from what I can find has to be the default which in turn will load the Windows boot loader or GRUB.

Haswell.broalwell is probably the creators way of saying it works with either. Just try it though, see what works. Setting up a hackintosh is gonna need some tweaking.

As a last resort I tried disabling ReBAR to see if it would fix it as I am aware I’m not running a standard setup but one that has been meddled to be a hackintosh. Did not work, still spits BSOD.

I'm using at the moment GIGABYTE AORUS Gen4 7300 SSD 2TB and Adata XPG Gammix S50 Lite M.2 NVMe SSD, no complaints so far. I have Hackintosh and there always are problems with Samsung SSDs. A-data is for hackintosh and GB i'm using for Linux/Windows. Both SSds are 2TB.

Not to be rude, but you should have sold that Vega in 2021. I had a dual vega 64 setup until then and I got $800 a pop for them from someone doing machine learning. You could have gotten a 6600 on release for like $400 and that would have been significantly faster at less than half the power. In relation to now, yeah those things are total braphogs on power. You may still be able to sell the GPU to a hackintosher and get like a 1070 or something for less that won't need nearly as much power and will probably game the same or slightly better. You might even be able to swing a used 6600 or 5700xt that will be notably faster.

I'm trying to apply the imon slope tweak directly modding the bios of my laptop with setup_var.efi tool. the "issue" is that my laptop is an Hackintosh, so I can't install Throttlestop. So, your advice is to leave untouched the 5000W offset and try to work only with Imon Slope? Thanks a lot

Why are you using Clover? Are you attempting to build a Hackintosh? If so, why are you attempting to boot the Windows installer through Clover?
