  1. As far as I am aware Netflix uses SilverLight or HTML5, not flash.
  2. I'd go the GTX 680, only because I had one up until the 10 series came out since the 680 was released and it was amazing. Never faltered until I started throwing more heavy synthetic loads at it.
  3. I'd recommend going for something like either a single or dual Xeon E5 2650 v2 to be honest. I just quickly had a Google and found one on eBay.co.uk going for £60 (though it's a cut down version of the chip). It should be quick enough and have enough cores/threads for your workload and it's only a 2013 chip so relatively modern for consumer stuff.
  4. Oop, there's more start-up costs. Running your own equipment now-a-days is just getting outdated, especially with how fast consumer and business grade internet is getting. Another one of his requirements was that they would be able to connect to their server externally to the office, again made easier by a server, in a data centre with a nice large chunk of bandwidth and pretty much by standard a gigabit connection.
  5. To be perfectly honest, I'd suggest renting a dedicated server, remotely and using some form of TCPA tunnel to ensure a good connection. What you get with renting is constant support, no need to worry about paying for dead parts and almost 100% guaranteed up time, I doubt your building had 2 massive backup generators. I run a hosting company myself and we have 5 clients currently who rent remote business server solutions from us. It also can end up being much more affordable. Just throwing it out there
  6. This looks bloody amazing. It would be so cool just to find a nice spot somewhere and sit down with a bunch of friends and a few beers and just watch some LTT
  7. Just to follow up, would this work with it? https://linitx.com/product/ablytech-slim-cd-to-40pin-ide-adapter/10110
  8. Thank you very much for the help and the support!
  9. Having researched mini-IDE, it doesn't look like a mini-IDE cable would fit in here, as it still uses male-female pins.
  10. Hi, I have this slim-line notebook DVD drive which has some port on it that I do not recognize, if this could be made clear to me as to what it is, that would be perfect. I intend to use it in my current project (making a slim Xbox) to replace the original thick and clunky Xbox DVD drive. Any help would be perfect, it is pictured below: http://imgur.com/a/ETvt0 Model number: SDR-081 Thanks, Laurence (I hope this is the right forums)
  11. Looks like a pretty solid build on Zotac's part. Would love to upgrade to a 980 from my 680 if I won, starting to notice now that my build is getting old and needs an upgrade. (I am more of an EVGA fanboy myself however )
  12. Deffiently the fact that it GLOWS. Nah, to be honest I like the choice of hardware they put into the Laptop, it's decent specs for a quite impresive form factor, and as we can tell from the place you guys used it, it must be pretty well built and quite rugged.
