Adreyu got a reaction from Vivilacqua1 in Star Citizen?!?!
it would be easier to go onto the website and just read, there's so much to know about star citizen. https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/
Here's a basic run down though:
Star Citizen is currently in alpha stage, meaning its not close to being finished, but it is open development so that we can play and test with CIG (the studio that makes it) throughout the creation process.
As of now there are only a few game modes:
-Arena Commander which is a mode in which you battle ships in free for all, on teams, or against the vanduul which are the villains of star citizen (single seater ships only for now)
- PU (Persistent Universe) which is the actual universe in which we will all be playing where you can fly around your ship, do missions, shoot people on satellite arenas, hang out etc. etc... So far we only have 1 planet and some moons to hang out around but its still probably bigger than any game you've ever played considering i think its 1 million km by 1 million km by 250k km at the moment.
- Racing, which is basically exactly what it sounds like, you race ships on a track.
Some ships are expensive but you dont have to buy them, they will all be able to be earned in the Universe at some point with in game credits, any cost on the ships that exist now is just to further the development and will not be pay to win when its released.
You can buy the base package for 40ish dollars and that gives the a ship, some credits to begin with (when money is implemented which i think is coming next patch) a few months insurance for your ship and the full game.
There is a single player in development but it isnt out yet called squadron 42, and there is also a first person shooter mini game that isnt implemented yet, but it doesnt mean you cant shoot people in the verse ;).
when the game releases, when you die you die for good and your possessions pass on to your next of kin or character you've designated, it doesnt mean you lose everything. just that character, the game wants to feel like it has some weight to the decisions you make. Currently i believe other than the one planet we have right now there are 140ish star systems planned for development and roughly 10 planets per system, results may vary.
Thats all i can think of right now haha if you have any other questions though ill answer them.

Adreyu reacted to DarkRuskov in Star Citizen?!?!
there is no card that can run the demanding AAA games at 4k on highest settings, and starcitizen is a very demanding game (and not fully optimized yet).

If you filled out the form, you're in. Ixi just has to find the time to go through the forms and see who applied.

Adreyu reacted to Kithkannin in Console killer build for 300 usd
Lol. Was just hoping to toss together a pc for my kid brother (12) at a similar price to a current console. Guess I will have to just put it on hold until I have some more cash available. The used market out here is pretty shitty. People oversell everything for almost what it is retail or for more since it is "oop".

Adreyu got a reaction from Vivilacqua1 in Only running at 17 to 20 FPS
I believe its a server side thing, pretty common for an alpha. 2.4 should have better optimization

Adreyu reacted to Moonzy in How much will an amd 64 x2 4200+ bottleneck an hd 7770
just very curious about TR2013
i have a core 2 duo + 9600 GT, runs it just fine on low settings lol
maybe i should pair my gtx 970 with the core 2 duo one day just for the lulz

Adreyu got a reaction from Moonzy in How much will an amd 64 x2 4200+ bottleneck an hd 7770
That would make for some serious bottleneck lol. maybe i should just slap my gtx 980 in this computer, bet you it doesnt get over 10 percent

Adreyu got a reaction from Moonzy in How much will an amd 64 x2 4200+ bottleneck an hd 7770
well 90-100 while downloading and playing on the cpu but around 50 when just playing, the gpu got up to about 90 percent

Adreyu reacted to Moonzy in How much will an amd 64 x2 4200+ bottleneck an hd 7770
i think the Hd 7xxx series is competing against gtx 5xx or gtx 6xx lol
while the 9xxx gt is few generations behind

Adreyu got a reaction from suchamoneypit in Can the 750 ti run it?

Check this out, it seems to have some information on it

Adreyu got a reaction from brolaugh_ in High Resolution Gaming or High In-Game Specs
I say you dial it back a little from 4k and go 1440p. Its gorgeous and 980ti and run pretty much everything (badly optimized games maybe need some tweaking) at max over 60fps. I went from 1080p to 1440 and i love it. I don't think the 4k scene is there yet though. just imagine the fact that the 980 ti already has a hard time maintaining 60 fps at 4k then think of the games and their requirements that will come out when the 1000 series does. gaming requirements are only going to get higher.

just meet in the middle go for 1440. it looks great and 980ti should let it run butter smooth

Adreyu got a reaction from matrix07012 in Oh no! Not this again! Valve Paid Mods
i seriously wouldnt mind if steam wasn't taking basically all the profits, its like how anything lower than high-mid tier bands wont see anything off of record sales because the label takes it all, and then charges for tour costs anyway.

Adreyu got a reaction from FurryZx in Best Single Threaded CPU /w/ 4 cores (AMD)
800 dollars is not a lot to going on a with our dollar so weak right now, can you describe what this is being used for and what it needs to have?

Adreyu got a reaction from SharkyMoto in Used Parts build to destroy the PS4
does it have to be small form factor? the corsair spec 01 or 02 are really solid cases for cheap
