alright well if you are set on the 970 then if will give you good performance i just think that its basically the worst choice for that bracket right now. rx 480 or gtx 1060 or rx 470 would be better.

what... look the thing is that with that processor you are going to hit a ceiling and there is no reason to pay for more performance over that if you are not going to use it. and maybe with the money saved you can get a better processor.

you definitely will get a bottleneck, also there is no reason to get a gtx 970 anymore, there are better options out now. and if you are set on the 900 series maybe a 960 is a better cheaper option

Yeah as SansVarnic said, this is definitely not your best target for getting people to join. The org for LTT is pretty powerful and large at this point.

So I am moving out into the middle of nowhere basically near Awenda Park and I was looking into Xplornet. What they quoted me is 130 dollars a month for 5mbps down and 1mbps up with a 100gb cap. Now I know rural internet is not going to be anywhere near as good or convenient as in town, But it really feels like they are actively F****** me here. Please somebody, anyone, tell me they can think of a better option than this.

I know you said other than performance but I'd like to point out, a desktop 1060, which is what is in the new laptops, is about 88 percent more powerful than a 970m, not 50. So if you want to take it back to performance just for a moment, there is a significant increase.

Rogers, and my plan is kind of a custom thing, it was originally 90 for 8megabytes down 1 up with 300gb limit on a 2 year contract and then i talked to them about how I work from home and they offered me unlimited and 16megabytes down instead for 110 dollars. so its not like a conventional plan as far as I know.

This might actually really help me, I managed to miss the end of summer sales because the person who does my paychecks neglected to mention she was taking friday off and I didn't get payed until monday after the sales were over. I was livid.

I don't want to just unload on you about how this is an alpha but really REALLY think about what an alpha means. The general idea is that its going to crash, and wanting a refund based on the performance of a game not even in beta is... well its silly. I mean you CAN, but whats the point, you are probably just going to pick it up later for the same reason you picked it up in the first place. If you don't like the experience you are getting now solely based on the fact that you are crashing during a totally and very openly unfinished game just wait till its in beta, or until release.

there will most likely be a little bit of bottlenecking, but its not so much that i think you need to upgrade necessarily. It would be a good idea but you dont have to.

If it performs the way the leaks are saying it performs I don't see why not. although chances are if it DOES perform that way, then your cpu will bottleneck it slightly. Overclock is recommended.
