Hello All! I have a NAS with a quad port nic. I wanted to see if I added a quad port nic to my desktop and set up the proper aggregation if I could get some faster file transfer speeds. My desktop is a Maximus VIII hero, 6700k. I tried getting an intel pro 1000 pt off of ebay but the desktop did not even see the device in device manager. I tried different PCIE ports with no luck. The card definantly was not showing up at all, not just with the wrong driver. Not sure wheather the card was bad or the PT is just completely invisible to what I have. Basically what I am asking is does anyone have a better recomendation for a nic than the one I tried, or am I even barking up the right tree with what I am trying to accomplish.

Not trying to resurrect a dead thread but I am trying to do exactly this except in the front of my case. My only concern is the weight of this piece of equipment pulling on the fans. I do not want the fan shrouds to warp under the weight plus the heat from the radiator. Does anyone have experience with this?

I would like to mount my Predator 360 in the front of my Define S. I want to keep the top moduvents on to be as quiet as possible. I believe the predator 360 comes with the fans in a pull configuration. I would need to flip the fans around to mount it on the front as in the picture. Does anyone see a problem with this? Will changing the predator to push affect performance? If so will it be greatly affected. I have already read the arguments for/against mounting the rad in the front venting hot air into the case and they seem to be about 50%for/against, does anyone else want to weigh in on this? I plan to eventually water cool the GPUs' so I don't think the extra heat in the case will be a problem. The 3 fans on the front rad will intake and I plan to use the 2 included case fans as exhaust, how does this 3 in 2 out sound to you guys? What would you change? THANKS! My favorite thing about the ASUS G550JK is all of the IPS display. Wayyyyyy better than the CRT I'm still using. (Embarrassing)
