  1. Does anyone else have any experience with either of these?
  2. How much are there respective prices? I am seeing Asus for $470 and AOC for $500
  3. Hey guys! I am going to get a 1440p IPS/PLS monitor, and I was having trouble deciding between these two. These are the reasons why I am leaning towards each one: Asus: $30 Dollars Cheaper In my opinion the stand and bezel look nicer. It seems much more well known (generally a good thing). 500 reviews on Amazon vs. the 8 on the AOC. AOC: The Asus apparently uses "LED PWM Dimming." I don't know how big a deal this is, but this thread http://www.overclock.net/t/1311936/asus-pb278q-the-official-2560x1440-semi-glossy-pls-thread - claims that it gives the AOC an edge over the Asus. Additionally, this thread - http://wecravegamestoo.com/forums/monitor-reviews-discussion/15027-best-27-monitors-2014-2560x1440-ahva-ips-pls.html lists the AOC as a much better monitor. Do you guys have any experience with either of these, can you please help me out? I feel pretty lost. Thanks!
  4. Alright, if I do decide to get another, is there any you recommend?
  5. Thanks but that didn't answer my questions whatsoever
  6. Hey guys! I'm planning on buying a single 27" 1440p X-Star monitor, but I've heard that their stands are terrible. Do you think it is worth the extra money to buy a replacement stand, and if so, is there any you recommend? I don't need anything too fancy. Thanks!
  7. Thanks for the advice, but I will be using this on a Hackintosh. Do you know if you can OC these monitors on OSX?
  8. I realize that but I've heard that the X-Star is usually quite reliable if purchased from buyers like Dreamseller on Ebay. If you really don't think the X-Star is a good choice, is there anything else you recommend over the Asus?
  9. Hey guys! I'm looking into getting a new monitor to upgrade from my current 1080p TN panel. I was wondering if the ASUS PB278Q is worth the extra money over the XStar. Also, if any of you own an XStar/Qnix, is the bezel (not the screen itself) glossy or matte? I can't figure it out from the pictures. Thanks!
  10. Alright thanks guys I guess I will go with a Korean PLS monitor.
  11. Hey guys! I was thinking of getting an Asus ROG Swift PG278Q for my Hackintosh, but I wanted to make sure that GSync would work. Have any of you managed to set up GSync on a Hackintosh before? My GPU is a GTX 770. Thanks!
