Trust me. You do not want to ship from amazon. It is very expensive and the free shipping is only available if you are inside the US. I would buy everything from Australian retailers. I was in the exact same position as you. I had all my parts and was ready to ship them, but shipping it was very expensive so i had to find an aussie retailer. There are quite a few. It's not worth it. Please. Don't do it. You will save a LOT of money.

That's a pretty broad spectrum of ships. What would you like to do in the game?
 
Freelancer:
There's 3 variants, but one of those, the mis, you can no longer get. So, I'll talk about the ones you can.
1) DUR - The dur is the cheapest upgrade and is geared towards exploration, with a loss of cargo space, but a better jump drive and more fuel efficiency. 
2) MAX - the MAX is mainly for gargo transport with double the cargo space, and more thrusters.
Of course you can just stick with a stock freelancer and upgrade it in game.
 
300 series:
The 300 hundred series is a step up from the Aurora, and offers more comfort and better specialization.
300i: Jack of all trades, and I'll leave it at that. But something you will have to upgrade in game.
315p: made for exploration, this comes with a jump drive and a jump scanner. Plus better thrusters and a bigger power plant for all that upgrading goodness.
325a: This is the fighter of the 300 series, which I don't think you'll be interested in because you own a hornet, so I'm going to skip it.
350r: Not for sale currently, but It's made for racing.
 
Aurora:
Everything the 300 series is, but on a budget.
 
Cutlass:
The cutlass is a a more maneuverable form of the freelancer. I'm not going to go into too much detail, because the variants are to be released soon. As of now,  it's kind of nerfed compared to the freelancer. So any stats you see on it now will most definitely be changed in the future. 
 
Avenger:
Also a fighter, it has more cargo though, but that is mostly the prisoner pods that it contains. This ship is meant for bounty hunting, if you're a good guy, but can also be used for smuggling live cargo, if you know what I mean . But again, it's a fighter, so it's kind of redundant with your hornet.
 
Conclusion:
I would personally go for either the Freelancer, 300i, 315p, or the cutlass. These ships are not technically fighters, though they can pack a punch. And depending on how you outfit them, they can really help you start a career. But, if I were truly narrowing it down, I would say the freelancer, either stock or the MAX, because that would really help you start off a career in transport and trade, and the economy will be a huge part of the game.  (*SPECULATION*) But to be honest, it all comes down to your budget and how much you want to spend.

Operation Monarch will be one of many missions that the UOLTTC fleet will be tackling head on. With the leadership of ixi_your_face, Slick, Blade of Grass and Linus, you can only imagine how far we’ll take our organization. Keep in mind that I am not a representative of the High Council or any part of the established leadership. I am actually a loyal salvager for the fleet, so I do not speak on behalf of it. But like many of you, I am wanting to make sure our organization dominates the SC universe. And after working very closely with many other members, we’ve begun the first steps to making that happen.

Onto the thick of it.

This is an UNOFFICIAL operation, guys. It is also in it's most early stages of development. But we need YOUR help in making it official. The only way to do that is to show support and help us collect all the possible intel we can to make this mission a success. This will involve the entire fleet. So we must organize together under the UOLTTC flag and work with the leadership of the UOLTTC High Council in order to grab the Star Citizen universe by the neck and make it our own. For any news or random rumors PM me when you have time. I'll be compiling all the information I gather with the group who has been working for the past two weeks on this to finalize and create a perfected report for when the game finally launches.

So let’s get that activity up and make sure we make our mark even before the game comes out. Look for a lot more discussion regarding the UOLTTC: Operation Monarch, and many future operations, on the RSI forums, RSI UOLTTC Chat room and the LTT forums itself. Whether it's to bash, praise or to speak word on wanting to be a part of this Operation, speak your mind. We will get the UOLTTC the Chris Roberts interview!

The following has been copied directly from a leaked copy of the Operation Monarch report. This report is a collaborative effort of all S.I.C.C. Operatives and the UOLTTC High Council. What we do with the information is a different story.

This is a preliminary report for Operation Monarch in attempts to assault and capture a Vanduul carrier class ship known as the KingShip. This report is considered classified until further notice and is to be kept in fleet archives until the Operation date has approached. All parties with authority to review this report are listed:

High Council
Council
S.I.C.C. Operatives
Fleet Leaders
Select Squadron Leaders

There will be designated groups for each pilot of the fleet to work within. Though most of it will be selection by volunteer, at a point in time the groups listed above will reorganize the pilots to better suit the needs of the mission. This will be at their discretion.

Military operations deemed classified by the UOLTTC High Council will remain classified to UOLTTC fleet operatives until three years after mission completion. At that time the official reports will be available for public viewing, bar specific details which will not be relevant for public knowledge. By accepting this document you have already assumed responsibility for all information it provides. This is meant to be kept out of public hands until that time has passed in order to keep operation details away from other organizations in Star Citizen.

I have had the same feelings, you get to listening to some good ole 2000's music and just zone out wishing you were living in your parents basement playing battlefield 1942, downloading mp3's off napster and occasionally turning off the speakers and listen for cops that would never come.
