  2. Best thing about this phone? More metal!
  3. I love my HTC One, I'd love another phone to give to a family member!
  4. Regarding 1440p monitors, a lot of people jumped on those korean branded 1440p monitors that were cheap-ish (cheaper than most "high end" 1080p monitors). YOU might not have bought them but it doesn't mean it wasn't a hot item at one point or another. Linus even talked about it on one of his live streams when a twitter person asked about them. You can't name one person who plays with all settings maxed? I do, on single player games and I leave it on max if my system can handle it, otherwise I tone it down from there. For competitive play, everything is turned down to the lowest settings, obviously. Doesn't change the fact that I play some games at max, when I can. Granted I don't have a 1080p monitor, I only run at 1680x1050. Realize that most "gamers" just casually play games and don't give a crap about getting better FPS over pretty graphics. I also don't understand what you're trying to prove in your post. I own AMD and Intel in the past and present and I recommend Intel or AMD to people depending on their budget and needs. So if you're trying to tell me that they both have their strengths, I'm sure I already know. You're probably not familiar with the video that Logan was poking fun at. I'm not going to link it because that just generates more traffic and thus more revenue for the idiots that made the video but read my second paragraph and that sums up the video. No, I don't think that testing at 640x480 is a good testing methodology, not did I imply it was. If you really want the link, PM me and I'll give you it but be warned, it's a lot of bullshit and your head might hurt after watching for a few minutes. I actually enjoyed Logan's video, it was freaking hilarious and informative but more hilarious because of the jokes that they made towards the neckbeards. Whether or not _ALL_ of his results were sound, all that anyone can take away from this video is that AMD cpus are not complete junk like everyone has been saying from the day 1 tests.
  5. This video was hilarious. The tests were legit and they even said they were surprised at the results. It's not like they're endorsed by AMD nor are they AMD fanboys. Most of the passive insulting was directed at some redneck that posted an Intel fanboy video that did some testing of their own games at 640x480 and found that Intel wins at some, and AMD wins at some, and then they continue to talk about how Intel is better because it costs more and AMD is a stupid choice because Intel costs more and is therefore better.
  6. I recently replaced one of my hyper212 fans with a silverstone air penetrator AP121 because the fan was making grinding noises =\ Temps are about the same and I can't hear a thing. Go with the SP fans.
  7. Aren't the ATH-M50 more of a flat headphone? They used to be head-fi's goto suggestion for its price bracket but not anymore. Same goes for the ATH-AD700. I'm not a big fan of the retro look of the Momentum but I can see how it could be appealing to some but I don't know what to say since they cost like twice as much as an ATH-M50 would.
  8. @Opsilon Unfortunately that's probably only true if you're using an application that supports both OpenCL (AMD) and CUDA (Nvidia) Adobe products (It's safe to assume that's basically what most people will be using for video production, yes I know Linus uses Sony Vegas) like After Effects only support CUDA and although Adobe CS6 supports OpenCL, it's only on the MacOS version and only if you have certain mobile Radeon cards offered on Macbook Pros.
  9. I just love how the Silverstone FT02 looks, there were a few other mentions earlier but no pics so here's one! Runner ups: Fractal Design R4, Corsair 600T White. and probably the Antec P280 as a budget case.
  10. Asus ProArt series comes to mind. PA248Q kinda fits your budget but not sure if 24" is the size you want and it's not 1080p, it's bigger (1920x1200) but if you want a 1080p for sure then the PA238QR might fit, it's a 23" 1080p. IIRC the ProArt series comes pre-calibrated or something like that. Although, you could buy/rent a color calibration thing and just calibrate your monitor(s) yourself which would give you even better results NCIX actually has one on sale here -> http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=69146&vpn=CVS4X100&manufacture=Datacolor&promoid=1270 I know you're not in Canada but at least that gives you an idea of what to look for in EU.
  11. http://fractal-design.com/?view=product&category=5∏=96 They do sell R3 side panels with windows. NCIX even carries them.
