Not surprised with how dodgy the online store is and how disorganised the store is near my place.

I have a Korean x-star 1440p 27' PLS monitor with the matt finish and it really is amazing. It was like $160 with free shipping to Australia

Its a PLS panel, (pretty much just samsungs version of IPS) so the colours and the viewing angles amazing. i'm pretty sure they run at 60hz as well (can be overclocked though at your own risk)

I bought the non "perfect pixel" version and I am yet to find a dead pixel (have spent probably a good 10mins looking for one). There is no bleed around the edges at al,l and no weird discolourations or "burnt" areas

 

100% would recommend this monitor 

I can only say for the Qnix (pixel perfect matte) model, but its fantastic. Had to go find a proper Dual-Link DVI cable for it though and I ended up buying an arm stand for it as its not very adjustable with the stock stand.
It doesn't have any fancy OSD controls you might find on popular brands but I honestly haven't had to use it, and people have already uploaded colour and overclocking profiles for it if that's what you're into.
Probably going to find that the case with the others.

Yes, but you lose out on the PCIe 3.0

Yeah it will be. But you will lose the Z77 features.

im using my i5 2500k in a z77 ITX board and it works fine.

My friend has his 2500k in an Asus P8Z77V-Pro motherboard and he couldn't be happier. He's had no issues. Yeah you lose out on the PCIe 3 but in all honesty, using one GPU isn't going to make any difference.

Yeah, it's going to be awhile before you /need/ PCI 3.0.

It'll be fine! I'm using a 2700K with an Intel Z77 motherboard and is great! 

100% compatible you wont be able to use the updated PCI-E but it will not affect you at all if you are using a graphics card in that slot  

My GPU is a GTX 560Ti, overclocked edition from Zotac.

It also sounds like a jet engine, and is nearly as hot as one... Often reaching 100 degrees on load...
 
Yet I still haven't upgraded or swapped it out.

First build I've seen in an Antec Lanboy. Nice job! However I'm not a big fan of the H100i being mounted on the exterior. Just my opinion.

I'll change something, so an IPS monitor will fit in the budget, but the AMD build is really much cheaper.
Anyway, anything will make a night-day difference. He is using an Eee laptop which is a piece of junk!
