Hello,
I want to speed up my 5GHz by selecting a higher channel, but my usb wifi adapter only reaches till channel 48 (which is on the low side).
My stuff:
Modem/Router: Cisco EPC3928AD
USB Wifi: Edimax AC450 (Drivers v5.1.19.0)
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 (This device can see all the channels, so I can verify they should work)
These are the settings that I can apply at my modem/router (Radio Settings):
Wireless Interface: Enabled/Disabled
Network Mode: A only, N only, A/N mixed
Channel Width: 20MHz only, Auto (20 or 40MHz)
Channel: Auto, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 100, 104, 108, 112, 116, 120, 124, 128, 132, 136
Extended Channel: 44 (This depends on the channel that you've chosen)
SSID | BSSID | SSID Broadcast
5GHz| MAC adress | Yes
These are the settings that I can apply at my Wifi usb device:
AP Mode Force BW20: Enable/Disable (Not sure what it does) (Default is Disable)
Country Region (5GHz): #0 (36-64, 149-165), #1 (36-140), #10 (36-48, 149-165), #11 (36-120, 149-161), #12 (36-140), #13 (52-161), #14 (36-116, 136-165), #15 (149-173), #16 (36-173), #17 (36-64, 132-140), #2 (36-64), #3 (52-64, 149-161), #4 (149-165), #5 (149-161), #6 (36-48), #7 (36-165), #8 (52-64), #9 (36-116, 132-165) (Default is #0 (36-64, 149-165))
IEEE802.11h: Enable/Disable (not sure what this does too) (Default is Disable)
Multimedia/Gaming Environment: Enable/Disable (Default is Disable)
Radio On/Off: Enable/Disable (Default is Enable)
Roaming Sensitivity: 1. Highest, 2. High, 3. Medium, 4. Low, 5. Lowest, 6. Disable (Default is Disable)
Selective Suspend: Enable/Disable (Default is Enable)
Selective Suspend idle timeout in seno: 1-60, I've put 1 in there. (Default is 5)
I've tried to change the Country Region (5GHz) to other values, no luck there. I don't know how to get it at a higher channel without dissapearing from my laptop's usb wifi adapter.
Any help would be appereciated.
