  1. I currently have an i7-4790 paired with an EVGA GTX 1060 SC and 8GB of RAM. I am considering upgrading to the Ryzen 5 1600 soon. Will there be a performance drop in upgrading from an i7 to an R5? I mostly play games (GTA V, Flight Sim, Truck Sim etc.), do light video and photoediting work and Revit.
  2. Probably don't need the accessories. Is the Cloud 2's 7.1 surround spund worth it or is it a gimmick? Do the Cloud 2's have a better sound signature and mic than the Core and more importantly is the 7.1 and audio and mic quality worth the extra $50?
  3. Hi guys, I am looking into buying a new headset and am deciding between the HyperX Cloud 1 (AU$95), HyperX Cloud Core (AU$59) or HyperX Cloud 2 (AU$109). Are the accessories included with the Cloud 1 worth the AU$31 premium over the Cloud Core? Is the 7.1 surround sound in the Cloud 2 worth the AU$14 premium over the Cloud 1 or the AU$50 premium over the Cloud Core?
  4. Is there any difference in performance between the small cards and normal sized cards?
  5. I am thinking about getting the GTX 1060 and relacing the GT 720 that came with my Dell XPS 8700. The place that I will buy it from has a note stating: Will the graphics card fit inside the PC?
  6. So if I do upgrade the power supply, what is the difference between the 550W Antec NeoECO II and the 700W Cougar VTX700 since they are both 80+ Bronze certified and are both AU$99? Is the Antec one better manufactured? What is the reason for the same price but a 150W difference?
  7. I've currently got a prebuilt Dell XPS8700 and am looking to upgrade the graphics card from a GT 720 to a GTX 1060. Is there going to be any potential bottleneck with these specifications: Intel Core i7-4790 ASUS GTX 1060 6GB Turbo 450W PSU (Not exactly sure on this figure) Crucial BX200 240GB SSD 1TB WD10EZEX HDD 7200rpm 8GB DDR3 RAM at 1600MHz Dell 0KWVT8 Motherboard? And if so, what are they?
  8. Cool, thanks for your help
  9. So it doesn't have to be a PCIe x16 motherboard right? Cause the one I have is a PCIe x8 one I'm pretty sure
  10. Ok, what about the motherboard?
  11. I'm definitely going to go for the ASUS GTX 1060 6GB Turbo but the question still remains as to whether the motherboard and PSU will be capable of the card. Does anybody know whether they are able to work or will I need to upgrade those as well?
  12. I don't know, I'll have to check.
  13. I am looking to upgrade my prebuilt Dell XPS 8700 PC and will upgrade it from a GT720 to a GTX960/GTX970/GTX980/RX460/RX470/RX480. It currently has Dell 0KWVT8 motherboard and I believe a 450W PSU. Will this be enough for the graphics cards or will I need to upgrade? Also, which of these graphics cards is the best for mainly simulation games with a couple of AAA titles?
  14. (I'm not sure if this is the right place for this topic, please let me know if it isn't and what it should be in) I need to buy a new laptop (it has to be a laptop due to portability) for Revit (mainly Revit 2015) and have narrowed it down to three options. All of the options are in the attached Excel file with all of their relative components and features. What is the best option taking the price into consideration? If there will be a great difference in performance for a more expensive one than a cheaper one, then that is okay. All prices are in AUD. Laptop Comparison.xlsx
  15. I would go with the Corsair option, as far as I know it has the better software and build quality. The Ripjaws software is very clunky and not user friendly at all. Plus you're going to be looking at your keyboard a lot so get the one you think looks best, the Corsair.
