  1. just at how they started to label their AM4 chipsets part of me thinks they did it intentionally while the other thinks they have no fucking clue what they're doing
  2. don't worry, according to the rumormill RX Vega will be available ~1 month after the announcement
  3. you forgot to add VAT to the Vega - those prices you see there in Sweden include VAT
  4. source: https://elchapuzasinformatico.com/2017/07/exclusiva-precio-amd-radeon-rx-vega/ translated: As the name implies, we will have a version passed by water , a version cooled by air but in the form of "Limited Edition" that could imply reference overclocking (we do not know if it is with the reference heatsink or Sapphire custom), and Then a third model also cooled by air which we assume will arrive with the reference frequencies. the estimated price for the air cooled version is 700$+VAT and the liquid cooled one would be priced at 900$+VAT - so, expect the actual shop prices to be quite higher --- in other bit of news seems there will be a 3rd Vega, the XL variant, called Vega 56 - this would be a cut down version of the XT chip; this version would only be available from AIB partners with custom board designs
  5. it's a issue with the core clock that existed ever since that series of GPUs were 1st launched my R9 280X suffered from a similar issue, although less pronounced
  6. on Amazon what? US ?! ha! only if the US actually meant the world and only if that spike in sales was actually not for few weeks have you checked AMD's latest financial report? where all the chunks of profits came from? GPUs ... hello
  7. well, duh! AMD only stayed relevant because of the mining craze and not because of the Ryzen launch I'm sorry that all these people who think Ryzen is even relevant exist; or that they actually believe Intel is "scared" of Ryzen - they could give less of a shit Ryzen come and went, Intel will continue to launch new products and make technological advancement while AMD will still be playing ketchup I also saw a few people who jumped like burned when Intel told the world Threadriper was a glued together CPU - absolutely and utterly true; AMD went and put 4 (!!!) dies on the same package; utterly laughable when you realize some of those dies aren't even working
  8. except for that pixel thing, the AOC is quite awesome; plus is 2" bigger than the DELL
  9. I can return in within a 14days window, but I have absolutely no warranty the next one will be problem free that DELL is significantly more expensive and the dead pixel policy is exactly the same
  10. depends on the games, but you would need a GTX1080 for 1440p hi framerate
  11. 4 dead for 1mil total pixel count that means ~14 dead per 1440p it's insanity
  12. they they sold you a licence? then you have the right to complain if not, you are going to waste your breath
  13. except for that fucking dead pixel, the monitor is absolutely excellent gaming is noticeably more demanding on the video card, had to cut some shadow setting on The Division for example - other games already could've been delivered with high enough framerate the size diff from the old 1080p is absolutely amazing, the text at 1440p is still easy to read - haven't used scaling ps: I will keep the monitor with that fuckign dead pixel because I have no guarantee that the next one will be issue free the monitor comes with a 3y warranty at the place of purchase
  14. bullcrap on both accounts there is no overhead, the m.2 PCIe cards have no additional chips, just Copper traces to the m.2 slot m.2 / PCie cards use PCH lanes; and as far as I'm aware it's the same for AM4 platform to the OP: the benefit of a PCie m.2 card could be moving the SSD away from the heat sources (GPU); there are solutions out there that have heatsinks for m.2 SSDs
  15. I laugh with all these revisions USB 3.x is going to become the most dumbest standard ever created
  16. that's utter insanity, it would be a 600+W card how the fuck would you even power it? the 8pin PCie are rated for 150W, the PCIe connector can supply 75W reminds me of this:
  17. the monitor arrived holy shit this real estate, it's like a new world - the panel looks really good, feels a bit warm tho .. will see ps: the monitor has in the box DVI-I cable DP cable - bought one for nothing D-Sub cable what I do not like: bezels and base are glossy has a dead pixel, stuck on black - makes me seriously think to return it
  18. if it's watercooled what!? you don't make sure the components actually work before? especially when you're doing a custom loop components can arrive DOA, it's a thing
  19. never build inside the case before you are 100% sure all components are working did you get warranty for that delided CPU? was it tested after the delid process?
  20. source: http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2017/07/firefox-55-quantum-flow-tabs perhaps there's hope afterall ---- Mozilla is calling this new tech used in FF5, Quantum Flow
  21. today, my 1440p monitor should be delivered
