  1. To any of the LMG members: What company do you think isn't recognized enough for what they do? (What small company deserves more attention than they get?)
  2. After much more digging, it turned out to be the GeForce Experience Beta!
  3. Damn, did you ever find a way to get it to work again? Nope, didn't work
  4. Hi! So as the title suggests, Steam detects my microphone (Blue Snowball iCE) but when in any game, or even with the "test microphone button" no signal is passed through. Other programs, like skype, detect it and get a signal just fine, only Steam is doing this. It even detects my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, but doesn't get any input with that either. List of things that I have tried: Unplugging and plugging back in the mic Restarting Steam Restarting my computer Using a different microphone Trying both an XLR microphone and my Guitar with the 2i2 Moving USB ports Unplugging my 2i2 and then trying Going back to the non-beta Steam client Then going back the the beta client after that didn't work Closing everything but Steam (including Skype) Making sure that all of the device setting are correct (not muted, levels high enough, etc.) Trying either side of the "Let applications take exclusive control" checkbox Reinstalling Steam Updating my motherboard's audio drivers Updating my motherboard BIOS Doing all of the windows updates that I regularly forget Flushing Steam configs Disabling and unplugging all other audio inputs Anybody have any ideas?
  5. Woops! weird lag is weird. I accidently posted twice, so don't count this one!
  6. Not to be like everybody else, but that Smart Switch thing looks awesome!
  7. **LINK** http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX55075 So as the title states, this is a wicked motherboard for $110! Price is in Canadian Dollars, as the store is only in Canada They have locations in: Calgary, AB [NW, NE, SE] Edmonton, AB [N, S] Richmond, BC Winnipeg, MB
  8. This comes after doing the wuauclt.exe /updatenow command in an elevated cmd window. It gets to checking requirements, then shows this. It seems to suggest that there are updates not installed, but there are none available and it says 0KB next to the statement. Check Your PC button just takes me to the windows update place which says that I'm set to auto-matically recieve updates and that none are available. Manually checking comes up with nothing and no amount of restarting does anything. I've even tried clearing out the \SoftwareDistribution\Downloads folder but with no avail. Please Help!
  9. So I was able to pull a few strings and got another overide code. Thanks for all of your suggestions though!
  10. Is there a way to get to 8 from 8.1 without reinstalling?
  11. I would say R5, H440, or see what bequiet is coming out with
  12. Get the i5 if you are primarily gaming, but get the i7 if you plan to use your computer as a workstation (i.e. using programs that benefit from multiple cores)
  13. As the title states, I have installed Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit onto my newly wiped system. The key I have is actually Windows 8 Pro, not 8.1. I had this problem before but was able to contact Microsoft and they gave me some code that I entered and windows was activated. I tried this again and I was told to basically buy a new 8.1 key. Is there any solution to this problem that doesn't invole buying a new key or wiping my system yet again? Thanks if you can provide any help!
  14. I will instruct him to do so, although unless he has done something crazy enough to install malware on a 2 day old install, I don't think we'll find anything Also, there is nothing using more than normal, and the total summed up to less than 2 GB
