So both AMD and Nvidia underestimated the demand and there are a bunch of theories as to what's going on but we don't exactly know.
The new generation of graphics cards are pretty impossible to get hold of. So everyone else who needs a new GPU is just buying last gen stuff.
 
For instance my 770 broke a few weeks ago. I wanted a 3080 still can't get one. So for now I got 1660, I wanted a 2070 but prices are well above usual. I checked all the usual sites in the UK and I couldn't get hold of anything. The ones that did stock are pricing them about 1.5x the normal price. As this is only a temp card I don't want to spend too much.

This sounds like the start of a HDD failure.
Get yourself a cheap Crucial MX500 SSD then install Windows on that.

This isn't an issue.
 
It's an outright fraudulent launch.  You cannot consider 106 of 4000 units (2.65%) fulfillment rate an "issue".  They outright lied about this and catfished the hype.
 
Do me a favor, get married and fulfil 2.65% of your wife's needs.

Excel can open it, notepad can open it, literally anything. CSVs are also great if you want to import it some where later.

I liked my Roccat Kone XTD but after about 5-6 years of heavyish use it died.
So I got the Kone AIMO remststed.
I dunno it's just super comfortable in my hand the only thing the AIMO is missing that the XTD had is the weights as I like a heavier mouse, but I don't mind so much now and I've been using the AIMO since April.

Yes they do because of t can't physically read the files correctly so it's only half reading them and your CPU and GPU don't know what to do with the information they are being given.
A reinstall will fix this error I'm pretty sure of it.

Is it just GTA having problems? Might be corrupt textures if it is.
 
Try another game and see what happens. If it's fine and just GTA then yeah you might have to reinstall or repair your install

Essentially what a power line adapter does is uses the houses electrical circuit to extend the possibility of ethetnet.
 
It's actually not too bad latency as it uses power wires in the house. You plug in near the router and plug and ether cable into it then near your pc you plug in the other adapter and put the ethetnet cable into to your pc and the socket. Meaning you can have a wired connection anywhere in the house.
The latency should be low but there are variables like the quality and age of the wiring in the house itself.
As for that reason it's hard to find any solid proof but I've used them at work and personally before with great success even with 25/10 Internet it was better than wireless but not as good as being plugged right in but you won't really tell too much. You get the full speed and lower pings compared to wireless

Just boot into safe mode and then on some drivers, start up programs and services that start with boot and hopefully it'll fix it.
Hopefully it's just a broken driver which you can uninstall and reinstall. You could also use windows repair if you have recovery media too.

Sounds like something during start up is crashing.
When you boot safe mode it only loads up certain things.
 
I would go through and turn off each program and driver that starts on start up and manually enable them one by one until you know which one is making the black screen.
 
Also you could just turn it on and leave it half hour and see if it recovers on it's own first.

If you need it now then get the 3080 now.
Any 20GB, Ti or Super version is all still unknown, sure there may have been a leak but nothing really official.
 
Besides unless AMD really do something interesting in the next few months we will probably have to wait 6 months to a year

Here in the UK we have to add on VAT and most electronic items are subject to import and shipping taxes here which they add on to the price of stuff here too.
 
Take for instance the PS4 I got a launch through a mate in the US I paid £300 and 50 to ship it but then I had to pay VAT for bringing it in etc worked out more expensive I was trying to actually get it cheaper but didn't work
