William12h got a reaction from Nikeshp79 in Graphics Card UPGRADE!
You can disable the iGPU and when you use a GPU it will automatically Disable it
The CPU itself is Weak. You can get any GPU and it will work but anything above a 260 the CPU will start to botteneck.

William12h got a reaction from NumeroSieben in clock_watchdog_timeout while stressing CPU and both GPUs at 100%
Yes and no, Its alot less likely. The issue isnt exactly Folding@home, just the CPU hitting 100%. Even if its off and it spikes to 100% for a few seconds it could happen.
you can run it at 50% but then your own multitasking could make it go to 100% or much higher then normal.

William12h got a reaction from NumeroSieben in clock_watchdog_timeout while stressing CPU and both GPUs at 100%
If your Maxing out your CPU and using Folding@homt then Nope you wont avoid it, That error is a Hardware error, its about the CPU clock. Your CPU is at 100% working in overdrive and its becomes unresponsive and slowly out of sync so data mishaps happens causing the system to crash.
"
CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT ParametersThe following parameters are displayed on the blue screen.
Parameter Description 1
Clock interrupt time-out interval, in nominal clock ticks
2
0
3
The address of the processor control block (PRCB) for the unresponsive processor
4
0
CauseThe specified processor is not processing interrupts. Typically, this occurs when the processor is nonresponsive or is deadlocked."

William12h got a reaction from vlkn´ in pc freezes
How is it not supported?? Asus website http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97_R20/specifications/ Says it supports AMD AM3+ FX™/Phenom™ II/Athlon™ II/Sempron™ 100 Series Processors
The FX 6120 is a AM3+
Dont worry Found it lol http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97_R20/HelpDesk_CPU/ - its not on the supported CPU list
So yeah your going to have to get a new CPU or MB

William12h got a reaction from Speedbird in Windows 8 corrupt on a pre-built desktop. How do I wipe it and reinstall Windows 8?
If you can boot into the OS you can do a factory reset in the PC settings.
You can also download Windows 8 upgrade installer thing from Microsofts website on another device and then use your product key and download it to that PC and then Install the OS to a Cd or USB.

Lower voltage as much as you can (Turn auto voltage off if you can) untill it crashes at full load, if it is still above 65 but stable then lower the clock until so OR get a better CPU cooler

Are you sure your video card is hooked up properly? It may be running off the Intel graphics chip and running poorly because of that. Also have you tried other games to get a comparison? Did you install the latest Nvidia drivers?

William12h reacted to Captain_WD in USB problem?
Hey there EzioSan, What are you trying to do when connecting your Laptop and your Desktop? It is actually possible to connect them via USB, but you will need a special Bridged or Networking USB cable. Are you using a regular one? Here are some steps that might help you: 1. Log off and shut down both computers. 2. Connect one end of the bridged USB cable to a free port on the laptop computer and plug the other end into a free USB port on the desktop computer. USB ports are typically located on the side and back edge of a laptop and on the front and back of the desktop. 3. Power up both computers and wait for the "New Hardware Detected" message to appear on each screen. You can now use both computers to transfer data back and forth. 4. Turn the line switch in the USB cable to Link Mode to transfer data between the desktop and laptop. Tips & Warnings: Do not use a standard USB cable to connect computers. It will not work and may cause electrical surges that could damage the ports and possibly internal electronics on both computers. Hope this helps, Captain_WD. -
William12h got a reaction from FizzyFantom in Upgrading Mobo, transferring cpu
What Motherboad do you have? For example i have a Asus A88xm Plus
And what CPU do you have? I have a AMD 7850k which is a AM2 Socket
AMD and Intel have different Sockets and Chipsets and the CPU the socket and chipset have to match otherwise it wont fit/work on the MB.
You can use software like CPU-Z to check your MB and CPU names etc
you can also use DxDiag (its already on your PC) Just search it or type it in Run. It will show your Processor and Graphics Card details + other stuff
