  2. average is mid 70's but it maxes out around 80 flat
  3. GTX 900 series then. I think most those cards should be fine, other than the 980 maybe. So again a 970 for 220 is perfect. http://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121899&cm_re=970-_-14-121-899-_-Product
  4. they average 210-240 http://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=970&N=-1&isNodeId=1
  5. rumors say Q2 2015 http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/anton-shilov/amd-we-will-release-new-products-starting-in-the-second-quarter-of-2015/
  6. Its been happening for the past few months even after and before I update my drivers with a game called SNOW, I assumed it was because the game was in alpha but now its happening in BF4. I think its a card issue.
  7. I've recently downloaded and started playing Battle field 4. My rig has been a beast running at 90-120FPS all the time. But just now, my GPU usage wen't down to 10-20% and my FPS dropped to 8-10FPS. Still, the temps are only at mid 60's and my power supply has WAY MORE than enough power for the 970. Despite that it seems like the card is throttling it self. Not sure what to do but I could take some suggestions. 8. My suggestion is the Asus ROG G750. i7 intel CPU clocked at 2.7Ghz but Turbos to 3.4Ghz, has 12Gbs of ram, 1TB HDD 17.6'' screen, and a nice display. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IKF2H12/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00IKF2H12&linkCode=as2&tag=buildg-20&linkId=JIO6YLV3YZEWUIEU
  9. Never actually seen an R1 perform, so I could tell you which one I'd rather get in that situation. But its the R1 really better that a 240M closed loop water cooler, that is also $10-$20 cheaper?
  10. Yeah, but price to performance ratio's are really good with those two products. Ever if its a pain to deal with MIR, I think its very worth it to get those coolers at that price. My H75 cost the same as that Seidon 240M, wish I had that thing for my PC
  11. Pretty sure the 960's and 950's are coming out soon, again I'd wait for those cards and see what they can give you in terms of bang for your buck. (If its anything like the 970's price to performance ratio, get which ever one you could afford)
  12. So I decided, since its almost black Friday I wanted to make a central hub for all the best deals for CPU's (and coolers). So on black Friday I'll be posting good deals I spot and I'd like to see what deals other people find. I myself am looking to upgrade from my G3258 to a 4690k or better, and I'll be updating it when I spot a good CPU deal. And instead of keeping it to myself, I'll just update this thread. Here are some good deals I've spotted today: Intel 4690K for $209.99 (Processor) USD Cooler master Seidon 240M $69.99 USD (dual 120M close loop liquid cooler for $70?!) (after mail and rebate) Zalman CNPS 9900 MAX 135M 24.99 (cooler) USD (after mail and rebate) (will be updated tomorrow with more! Leave a post with deals you found!)
  13. the GTX 960/950 when they come out, and based on all the rumors that should be in just a few weeks. Should get you the best bang for your buck.
  14. yeah, I kinda banked on people seeing that it was MS paint stick figures and would figure that out. Its definitely easier to know sarcasm in a forum were its very common, although I think these forums are more serious/helpful most of the time. Understandably, as I and as you said, sarcastic jokes are hard to pick up on through text.
  15. @CatCloud Well I apologize that it "Offended" you. That was just a theme of another forum I am a part of, though this is a much bigger and matured forum I guess. It's a habit, but I think you should be more open-minded then, from what I've noticed, you seem. I thought it was obvious the sarcastic, intentionally ironic egotistical comment on this thread. But I should know from experience that is somewhat hard to detect, I am sorry for that. But I'm new to the forums, so I'll learn the do's and donts.
  16. @ixi_your_face @rentaspoon But seriously, I'm just messin' around. I love SC and I've been following the lore of star systems, which is super fun... I love it. I also love messing around in Linus's forums , although I must admit I've only been a bit of a troll with the SC thread so far. But I guess you guys don't like that.
  17. Oh, I didn't know I couldn't joke here. I'll go cry now, i guess. ;_; @ixi_your_face @rentaspoon
  18. @dj26792 well, when I looked, I think the 2TB version of the HHD was $10 more, also you could have put them in a RAID if you'd ever like that. but depending on the shipping you can buy what ever you like. (BTW you have to mount the RAD on the front of the rig, not the top.)
  19. @snert98 http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/troublishone/saved/#savedbuild_1661234 This a pretty nice build
  20. @dj26792 http://au.pcpartpick...ne/saved/kZZqqs Try it now, based on your second build its only about $50's more. Also, just save up for another two sticks and you'll have 32Gbs then. (New build has 16GBs of ram)
  21. @dj26792 also the kraken-61x should keep it pretty cool
