  1. Ok, I have been using the ACM for full adjustments. I will get out of that habit. I am using a Razer Blackwidow Tournament Edition which has volume control, but it's not a knob, it's key based. It might actually be worth just investing in something like the Griffin Powermate.
  2. Hey guys! So I have a question... I was wondering if it was at all possible to use the Audio Control Module that comes with this sound card as a master volume knob for my PC, instead of only what's plugged into it? I switch between headphones (plugged into the ACM) and my monitors, but the ACM only controls the volume of the headphones. I know they sell USB volume knobs like the Griffin Powermate, but I was hoping I might be able to take advantage of the ACM volume knob I already have sitting on my desk. If it's of any help, I switch between headphones and speakers in the Sound Blaster software that works with the sound card. Does anyone know of a way to remap this thing? Am I asking for too much with this? It plugs into my sound card via a 1/4 inch headphone and a 1/4 inch microphone. Any and all insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  3. I appreciate the information, it has been very useful. I will probably pick one of these up soon.
  4. Thank you. I am looking into other options. I use the module to also allow me to turn my headphones into a headset with a mic.
  5. So it sounds like that goes for both the module AND the card? So it wouldn't matter where I've got my headphones plugged into? I use a pair of Audio Technica WS1100is cans. Would you mind linking to the PowerMate that you use? I'm unfamiliar, sorry. Is this something that could be fixed with a small amplifier? I guess the module is useful for me because I run a vmoda cable through it allowing it also be my microphone.
  6. You know, I posted this question in another forum too, and they said the same thing. Curious... Do you just not use the acm module at all? Or are you saying that the headphone output in general is trash for this card? Thanks, I will be looking up SBZSwitcher now. EDIT: SBZ Switcher is amazing, thank you! This helps out tremendously. Being able to pre-define a volume level for each is outstanding!
  7. Hey all, Thanks for looking! I recently just received a new pair of studio monitors for my computer. I have them being run through a Creative Sound Blaster ZxR sound card in my computer. This sound card has an ACM Module that I can use on my desk, but it's really only good for my headphones. Here's what I am hoping to accomplish. The software for my sound card has a slider for switching from my speakers (monitors) to my headphones. Instead of having to go into my software, click the tab, and then swap the slider, is it possible to create a macro that does this for me in one button press? I know it's already not that difficult to do as it is, but if it's possible to create, I would love to do so. I have no experience with macros, so you'll have to forgive me. Second question. The ACM module only controls the volume for my headphones, since they are plugged into it. Is it possible to change the control of the ACM Module to my PC master volume at all times rather than just having it change the volume of my headphones when the headphones option is selected in my settings? I am more than happy to provide any other info that might be needed. Thanks!
  8. Possibly. I mean, as it is, I already have to move my head up quite high to see my ultrawide on top. I definitely do just lean back in the chair. Not a lot, but enough.
  9. What makes you say that? Just the overall position of the monitors? Or are you talking about the amount of light hitting my eyes from where it is coming from?
  10. Hey guys! Hopefully I am in the right board here. I am currently running 4 monitors. Three 21.5" Dell's, and a 21:9 Ultrawide LG. The 3 Dell's are running Nvidia Surround at 5750x1080 and I really want to keep it that way. My issue arises here... I currently have the ultrawide mounted above my surround monitors. I would like to put my ultrawide underneath my surround monitors, but I am unsure of a reliable way of doing this. The monitor mount I am currently using looks just like this. I can raise them up, but even all the way, it doesn't go high enough for the ultrawide to sit on the bottom. Ideally, I'd just use the stock foot that came with the ultrawide, since my ultrawide is kind of jerry rigged up on top right now, and have the surround monitors up above. Here is how the monitors currently sit. Here is a quick photoshop of how I would like them to look. If you have any ideas, I would love to hear them. Thanks!
  11. I have been very happy with my Audio Technica ATH-M50x's.
  12. Well, I just remembered why I could not do it. My side monitors do not support HDMI, and I do not have a spare DVI-D cable. Looks like I am out of luck for the time being. I will mark this post as solved since I know what the issue is. Thanks for all your help, folks!
  13. I will swap the connections and report back. I guess this is one combination I missed way back when I was moving them all around.
  14. So I will have to change my main display to DVI-D output, and not my HDMI in order to get this to work.
  15. My primary display is actually hooked up via HDMI. Ya, everything is hooked up to the same card.
