I was ridiculed directly by someone without knowing my competitions what so ever so I just had to reply in order to make that person feel what that person has written. If you must know, I have experience in caving. Not going to a touristy caves, but with right equipment to the remote caves.

kasugatei reacted to ninbura in New mic, XLR or 6.35 Jack?
You could use a single channel preamp with a XLR to 1/4 cable on the output if you wanted to just stick with your current sound card:
    InnoGear 1
    BEHRINGER MICROMON MA400
Monoprice 6ft Premier Series XLR Male to 1/4inch TRS Male

Not the highest quality solution but it could work just fine for you, I do believe a USB interface is a better solution.
I'd go with an XLR mic over USB, allows for much more manipulation, could eventually upgrade to a soundboard and wouldn't need to replace the mic. Here is a good starting point within your budget:
    BEHRINGER U-PHORIA UM2
    Audio-Technica AT2020
    AmazonBasics XLR Cable
Microphone Shock Mount with Pop Filter
    Neewer NB-39

If you were willing to go over budget a little I would recommend the Scarlet Solo over the UM2:
    Focusrite Scarlett Solo

The one thing EM is guilty of is "overextending", he should stop trying to play the PR stuns he does, with australia power, central america power after hurricane, the thai bois and so on.
He wants to keep his momentum started with spacex/tesla and keeps making these adventures playing "the god of technology and the saviour", eventually it will backfire, one stunt at a time his rep will go down not up.
He needs to focus on those goddamn Tesla trucks to meet demand and goals, and BFR wont happen if hes busy 24/7 sleeping in a factory and trying to play hero in thailand, i think the world can take care of itself, if EM has some technology that only he owns and only he can help then he should intervene otherwise stay aside and mind your business.

I mean, if you saw a video of the actual "submarine" propotype... the name submarine is a bit generous:

    https://www.theguardian.com/news/video/2018/jul/09/elon-musk-tweets-video-of-kid-sized-submarine-for-use-in-thai-cave

Seems it was more like a little tube with air canisters attached to it, that divers would have had to push forward through the cave. Seems impractical, and the fact that you could just give these trapped kids diving equipment seems way more logical.

Also, who asked for his help in the first place? Elon Musk must have an ego the size of the moon to think only he could come up with a solution to save the kids, and then be upset when they got saved some other way. What a complete maniac.

First rule of music production - use studio monitors. If you mix with pair of headphones your mix may sound good on that pair of headphones, but it will sound as sh*t on any speakers

Musk is a fucking joke and the more he opens his mouth the more everyone realises it.

Most of his "ideas" are stolen from other people, he just renames them and claims them as his own not to mention most of what he says is possible just isn't possible and engineers have known these things aren't possible for a long time.

He's a snake oil salesman crossed with a spin doctor, he's good at selling dumb ideas to dumb people while telling them it's the best thing since sliced bread.

Being serious now. Anything p0rn related can generate money. And it is not secret that p0rn providers have top notch equipment because they are earning enough to invest into it and have profit.

Inferior to other languages anyways. It is just popular because it is popular at this moment and it gets taught in schools/ universities for that reason so unfortunately it is a doomed circle but maybe this can help and break it.

kasugatei reacted to KarathKasun in Vice President and General Manager of AMD Radeon Gaming accuses NVIDIA GPP of monopolistic and anti competitive practices
This isn't about coming in 2nd.  This is about a company stonewalling a market to prevent competition from ever happening.  If AMD cant sell what they do make, there will never be a competitive part.

kasugatei got a reaction from Tsuki in need help picking a new microphone ? .
In that case what Tsuki recommended is the safest bet, especially if you own mechanical keyboard. Siren, Yeti or any other large diaphragm condenser WILL pickup a lot of surrounding noise.

kasugatei reacted to minervx in Keyboard clicks
The issue is with your microphone rather than the interface.  It's either too sensitive or your typing is within its vocal pattern.

Buy a dynamic microphone (not condensor) if noise rejection is a priority.

kasugatei got a reaction from ARikozuM in Is the writing Korean or Chinese?
Japanese language uses 3 scripts - kanji, hiragana and katakana. I don't know Chinese but in Japan traditional kanjis are being used (as well as in Taiwan). In China they use simplified kanjis as well so in that case it is easy to distinguish whether it is Chinese or Japanese. Also if you see text with only kanjis it is Chinese in 99.9% of the cases. In Japanese hiragana is used after kanjis to indicate eg. verb stem etc. so for me it is easy to distinguish a difference although I am not Japanese.

One funny thing I encountered during my business trip to Taiwan was that kanjis for letter in Japanese mean toilet paper in Chinese (手紙)

you have answered your question with your datacenter statement. I've just checked one of the servers at the office and when using standard consumer grade SSD, you have a space to spare.

The thickness of that SSD is around the same as enterprise grade 2.5" HDD so no issues there.
