  1. Hopefully I'm not out of line posting this here. I have a small correction to report on the latest video "What is Handheld Molecular Scanning?" where you say that infrared is a higher frequency and energy to visible light when it is in fact the opposite. Infrared light has a slower frequency and lower energy and larger wavelength. You did get the part about infrared being able to penetrate better than regular light.
  2. I have a 4790k with a GTX 780 which is getting a little old. I would have upgraded but I'm waiting for a monitor upgrade as well since I'm running a crappy 1080p monitor. Also It has an ACX cooler on it and if anyone else has one could you let me know if it buzzes sometimes then when you kind of push on it or squeeze it the buzzing goes away?
  3. Seems like a good product. You failed to mention anything about how much latency there was, not like I'd play csgo on it anyways. Your short film was almost as good as Demitry of HWC.
  4. I finally started using Plex for the last month or so, and although it is a little pain renaming all of the files I got a bulk file renaming tool and that solves the issue easily. Perhaps my favorite feature is that it saves my progress and tells me which episodes I haven't seen of shows that I don't watch all the time. My only problem has been that for whatever reason the web app doesn't play videos all the way through on my LG G4 phone and only that phone. PS: I'm running my Plex server on a Freenas box with 2 mirrored 2Tb drives since that was all I had at the time. I just recently bought 3x3Tb drives and I want to put them in a raidz array so that I will have 6Tb of extra storage. Is there a way to add my three drives to the existing volume without ruining all the work that I already did setting up the server?
  5. Didn't work. And now I know that a Samsung Galaxy Tab A will also works.
  6. Only thing would be 360 Security which might do a little memory optimization. I'll deactivate it to see.
  7. Really would rather not have to pay for the app unless I have to. Seeing as it works on my nexus 7 I assume there must be a solution. Although $5 to fix this isn't unreasonable.
  8. I have made a plex media server with freenas and I works perfectly fine streaming content to PC through the Plex web app at //ip_address:32400/web/index.html and it also works remotely on PC using the web app. I can even stream to by old nexus 7 tablet through the web app using some reduced settings because of the slow wifi. The problem is that my LG G4 refuses to play videos to completion. I will start videos then eventually I will get the message that "there was a problem playing this item". I have played around with the transcode settings and player settings and it doesn't seem to matter whether or not I am direct playing, transcoding h264 and direct streaming audio, or transcoding h264 and mp3. I have tried many different file types and none of them seem to work. It also doesn't matter what streaming quality I choose to play the video. I don't know why my G4 which is superior in every way to my nexus 7 cannot play videos while while my nexus 7 can. I am using the chrome android browser in both cases. Opera has similar issues and firefox refuses to even start videos. Any ideas?
  9. Here is a link to one of the support pages that should help you. https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200220687-Naming-Series-Season-Based-TV-Shows
  10. I had similar problems. You have to make sure that your files are named properly. For TV shows file names should contain S01E01 or whatever is the case. If your file is named 101...109 then plex will organize it properly and you may not see it. There are plex support pages that are actually helpful for this. I would get a bulk renaming tool to fix improperly named files quickly.
  11. Well I could really use both. Got a dying mouse and my brother is in desperate need of a keyboard so... Eeny meeny miny... mouse. Lets go mouse.
  12. So small. It wouldn't look out of place next to my blue-ray player.
  13. Autore Keyboard since it has brown switches and it uses a mini usb instead of a micro b for the detachable cable. Plus the fact that it looks a lot classier than gaming keyboards.
  14. I'm still rocking a logitech g500 and the sensor has been making a squealing noise. I would like to see a review of this FinalMouse.
  15. It seems as though I figured out how to get this to work. I turned on hardware-acceleration decoding in VLC codecs settings and that seems to have done the trick.
