I think I will most likely go with the 280, especially because free sink looks promising with it not needing any additional hardware to be added to the monitor. Thank you for replying.

Yes this is for gaming, and I am going AMD for the cpu, because from the research that I have done, intel really doesn't have anything at this price that is at all close in performance. Also thank you for responding, and I think I will be going with the r8 280 because everyone is suggesting it.

This is my first build, and I have ~$200 to spend on a graphics card, and I was wondering what you guys would suggest. I have no preference for AMD or NVIDIA, and the rest of the build I am planning to go with is here. If you have any other suggestions for the build, I would appreciate them.

I included a monitor in that, and you can get a mouse/keyboard combo for like $20, and have it still be under 1k
