  2. Now that I have everything hooked up, minus the 4 pin. It boots up fine, then freezes randomly if I do anything at all, like brows the web or download something.

  5. I also noticed tht all the squre holes don't match up. it would fit physically but most of my pin plugs aren't square but oval in one edge
  6. So I just bought a new cpu and a motherboard. I tried yo salvage my old psu (800w gold) but with me I only have a 8 pin cpu power cable. I might have the extra cable at my parents house. but its a long trip that I have to wait a few days to take. What happens if I just connect the 8 pin and leave the +4 pin empty? I have the R7 2700x and a msi x470 board
  7. Its from a local store.
  8. Do I pay 200€ more for a name brand 1080 TI or get the Chinese one for less? INNO3D iChill GeForce GTX 1080 TI X3 - 769.00€ VS ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1080 TI - 956.02€
  9. Is the extra 40€ worth it? (145€) MSI X470 GAMING PRO X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING VS (182€) ASUS PRIME X470-PRO
  10. Solved: I had to use windows 10 iso to wipe the ssd. windows 7 iso just kept crashing
  11. Sadly no, I'm looking for a bootable disk cleaning tool as a last resort, but I don't know which one to trust.
  12. Windows 7 won't boot, gets stuck on the logo, when I try to repair, it crashes, when I try to boot in safe mode it crashes, when I try to re-install using usb device it crashes on "Setup is starting". Its not a newly installed os, its just randomly happened on startup. What do I do? OS is on 128GB SSD Windows 7 Professional CPU AMD FX:8350 GPU: R9 290 4x4 GB DDR3
  13. I will look for a Seasonic PSU, since that seems to be the most popular vote here. Thank you all for your support!
  14. No, It has been quiet, no sudden changes, it was sitting idle while I was chatting on skype. Anything less than 100 eur is my budget
  15. Good ones are out of my immidiate budget, for a one that is more than 100 eur I need to wait a month
  16. Its been sitting in the same place, in the same wall plug, unchanged for about 3 months now.
  17. I truly hope that the only thing dead is the PSU, I am not a wealthy man. So a new 650 W PSU should fix this? Not the same one ofcourse, but is the Corsair CX series good or will I face the same issue?
  18. My PSU just displayed magic sparks and died. Its a little older than 2 years old setup, about a year ago I upgraded the last component, the gpu from 270 to a 290. Was it wrong of me to think that the Cooler Master g650m could handle my components or is it something else? Inside there is a AMD Combo 8350 + MSI 290 Gaming, none of it was overclocked at the time. Visualy it looks fine now, too afraid to plug it back in. But it was loud, I could even hear it with my headphones on and it was like a firework, room is filled with smoke.
  19. I guess backup is my only option. But I do hope it does not do it so I can just say that my friends are not very smart.
  20. Windows has scheduled an update to w10 for the end of this week. Ofcourse I can cancel it, but only bc I happened to notice it happening on its own. My only worry going to windows 10 is that 4 of my friends who have upgraded to w10 have lost their data. Did they do something wrong or is that expected to happen? The data was not lost on the 1st day, for some odd reason windows decided to reset their data few days later.
