  1. Yes I have tried it. It's also throw random BSOD. But not as often
  2. HI my computer recently spew up this weird BSOD and system error that I don't understand (it's going to be quite long I'm sorry) What I have done and the problem 1. My computer suddenly show artifact (Intel HD Graphics) 2. And when it try to reboot the motherboard threw a post code for memory problem which I assume ram issue so I pull out all of the sticks and leave out 1 sticks 8 GB ram and I also put in some random GT 630 for troubleshooting because I suspect there's some problem with the integrated graphics 3. After reboot windows seems to lagging quite badly. YouTube / movie would look quite choppy when the system usage is low 4. So I decided to shut it down and clear cmos and revert to default settings 5. I go back to Windows It still the same but now it throws up random BSOD like kernel mode heap corruption, driver error and non paged area at random interval 6. So I started to suspect that my SSD is the culprit and I bought some random 120GB SSD and install fresh copy of Windows 7. Fresh copy of Windows has been installed in new SSD it seems cured the lag but it's still throwing BSOD like before I only installed the nvidia driver and my Intel network driver so I straight up run out of ideas what to troubleshoot my cpu temperature seems fine and the motherboard also not throwing weird post code but the ram do get a bit hot but not too uncomfortably hot to touch and I also shuffling different modules and channels but it doesn't seems to solve the problem The BSOD is varying from memory error to driver error and that's why I can't pinpoint the exact problem I do have a spare cpu and gpu to try but I really confused what is dying here because the motherboard seems fine and the cpu temperature seems fine too is it a sign of dying cpu/motherboard?
  3. you might want to look at this there's a lot of review on that thread too. but masterliquid 240 is good especially compared to deepcool since the warranty is a lot better in CM stuff compare to deepcool stuff so if you want good cooler for cheap i suggest the Masterliquid . it's affordable and the warranty is a lot better than deepcool
  4. it depends if you can get a deal on PSP then go get the PSP it is but if i had to choose one of them i choose the Vita because it's better IMO because you can still get games from PSN and a lot of PSP and PS2 game already ported to PSVita but check PSN to see about the Armored Core series because i think a lot of them don't get ported to newer console
  5. most of case nowdays has tempered glass but if you really don't like glass be quiet has some good offering with their cases like be quiet https://www.overclockers.co.uk/be-quiet-silent-base-600-midi-tower-case-black-ca-105-bq.html this case is also nice and compact
  6. if you want to bring it everyday to class the XPS will be your best bet but if you don't mind about slightly heavier laptop than the XPS the scar is not that bad if you dont mind about heavier backpack and not travelling anywhere on public transport. but if you are going anywhere in public transport i highly recommend XPS since if you going anywhere crowded you don't have to worry about your laptop getting crushed and the battery life will be a godsend in group task situation TL:DR -class first: XPS -Gaming is important: Scar II or if you want both but pay slight premium i recommend MSI GS65 https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GS65-Stealth-007-i7-8750H-Diamond/dp/B07MRG4JRB/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_2?keywords=msi+gs65+rtx&qid=1552369601&s=gateway&sr=8-2-fkmrnull it's slightly less powerful than the scar but it's has 2060 and slim enough and thin enough body to carry everyday
  7. CPU Motherboard combo >https://www.overclockers.co.uk/8pack-xtreme-x470-asus-crosshair-hero-vii-amd-ryzen-7-2700-4.1ghz-overclocked-ryzen-bundle-bu-00d-8p.html that motherboard has a lot of USB ports and for multi task ryzen is quite good and this bundle comes with ram and cooler and for case >https://www.overclockers.co.uk/fractal-design-meshify-c-midi-tower-case-white-tempered-glass-ca-07l-fd.html since it's quite affordable and quite big inside and more compact than the H700i
  8. you might want to consider this. it's good monitor for the price and speaking as an owner the color looks great and not oversaturated https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07GNN621R?ie=UTF8&tag=wwwetalelg-21&linkCode=as2&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B07GNN621R
  9. it's about preferences but if you have a DSLR / Mirrorless camera and try to see the image straight from the camera in the phone the image color will have their color slightly "turn up a notch" so it'll look brighter and sometimes weird because a lot of times samsung panel has those weird color profile as stock because my friend used to have Galaxy Note 5 and every picture i take from my A7 II will have their noticeably brighter and oversaturated compared to when i look at it from my brother iPhone 6s or my Xperia Z5
  10. have you tried 1. DDU every driver with your old setup (even the IntelHD driver) 2. Turn OFF PC (don't let windows search for driver) 3. install new GPU and let windows handle the driver 4. if success update driver if still doesn't work try to clear CMOS before turning on PC with GPU installed i get this problem too while upgrading PC in my local church (has ASUS H61 motherboard)and my personal pc (has Gigabyte Z77 Motherboard) and this is how i solve it. because both seems had a werid habbit of turning on on board GPU even after i turn it off in the bios if i remove PCI-E GPU and re install it with different PCI-E GPU but if you don't have a lot of free time i suggest just take it to the shop because it's a weird problem and i'm not sure that your problem can be solved the same way
  11. Yes, by a considerable amount. i have RTX 2070 and i pair it with 3770K even though i overclock it to 4.2Ghz the CPU will pinnned itself on 100% GPU never hit 90% in most game (No OC) like rainbow six siege. NMS. Just Cause. Witcher III and considering RTX 2070 is bottlenecked by 3770K the 2080 will surely get bottlenecked by 4770K not significant but in considerable amount
  12. yes it seems like it since the price point they seat in ( i don't know about NA or etc) but in indonesia the bracket is ventus<Armour<Gaming
  13. the newer ARMOR cooler is just the previous twin frozr design found in the gaming X (in the 10 series era) because in my RTX 2070 it looks similar to the cooler found in the GTX 1080 just in white and black and slightly stylised shroud. and for the ventus is just more basic version of the armor (looks really similar with the old armor design though but with different fan design) in terms of cooling the ARMOR design in my GPU seems fine. and quiet enough ambient temperature in my room usually around 30*C (i live in indonesia so that kind of temperature is normal) and the GPU only go as far as 70*C in full load situation and the fan is not particularly noisy either just sounds like a hum inside my cooler master CM 690 II and when in a hot day like when the ambient temperature is around 34*C the gpu usually stay around 74-ish celcius. i think the ventus is just a duke model with 2 fan
  14. i have the OC model and it seems like MSI uses the chip similar to the Founders edition for the OC model (TU106-400A-A1 so i guess more RT cores? hence the higher power consumption) and the Non-OC model uses TU106-400-A1 as stock the OC Model is just a little bit faster than the non OC model. you can overclock both. and about the max OC is actually depend on how much you wanna tweak it but if you just an "average Joe" who don't overclock or tweak anything it regularly hit 1910Mhz without tweaking(oc model) and if you want to oc the OC model usually boost up over 2000MHz (mine usually boost up to 2080/2100 in some games by using MSI OC Scanner)
  15. have you check the thermals? usually pc restarting could be caused by thermal. or the power cable not seated properly (it could looks like it is connect and clicked but sometimes you need to check it again especially the auxiliary CPU power plug) but i suggest checking the thermal first
