The issue is the game itself as well. The last update has caused me to have a fps boost, but at the cost of the game stuttering, freezing, and having problems with keeping the world rendered.

I actually find Ubuntu and Ubuntu based distros easier and more intuitive to install than windows. It's also much quicker with less things to do after initial setup outside of customization.

I turned off the windows and driver equalization in the second one, so it's probably the latter.

I usually recommend going to your distros user forums for help because of this. Most Linux help threads here end up being "use debian" "use arch" "use mint" and it's quite annoying that they never answer your question.
