  1. Yeah I think BF4 is actually more demanding than Hardline lol- even at 1440P I was surprised with my FPS in relation to what I got on BF4. I would go ahead and buy that new Acer 4K GYSNC panel but I don't really want to fork out another $1000 like I did with the Swift a few months ago. TBH the main reason I actually want it is simply Netflix/4K content for when I'm gaming, or even just for productivity reasons.
  2. Haha yeah ik. But, is DSR essentially accurate to actually running the game @4K?
  3. UPDATE: I just tried out Battlefield Hardline using DSR @3840x2160 using Medium settings and got around 80 FPS on Multiplayer... If this is anything true to what I'd get using 4K I'm happy.
  4. Well, considering that you live in the US, I bet the postage from Aus would probably end up costing more than the GPU!
  5. I'm gonna use both the ROG Swift and the Samsung- I mostly want 4K for Netflix whilst gaming, but it would be nice to test out higher res every now and then.
  6. Cheers. I'm considering a Titan X if I'm able to sell my current 980, as I've got an mITX system.
  7. Hi all, I'm buying a 4K Samsung panel this week. I've currently got the ROG Swift- which the 980 can handle with ease @ultra settings, however, I know 4K is a massive step up. Was just wondering if a 980, at least for the time being, would be suitable for playing most titles @4K at medium-ish settings?- can I test this out by using DSR and scaling my monitor up to 4K? Cheers guys.
  8. Hey guys, I've currently only got 1 monitor- the ROG Swift, however, I'm starting to crave another monitor. I'm thinking of grabbing a 4K panel, probably the Samsung value 4K one. Although I'd want to get the Asus PB287Q, I can get a really good price on the Samsung right now ($500), whilst the Asus is $800. Is it worth grabbing another 4K now, OR, should I cheap out and go 1080P, or should I rather wait for newer tech coming later in the year?
  9. Hi there, I'm thinking of grabbing the AT2020+ USB microphone for various uses. I'll obviously use it indoors for Skype, gaming, etc. I also want to use it for film making- I'm currently a student and one of my subjects is media. So I was thinking of grabbing this mic as it could double for use at home and at school, however, I'm not sure if it would cut it. I heard it has a cardioid pattern- I'm assuming this means that it picks up from a single angle? The majority of films that I'll be shooting will simply be dialogue based, so I assume that if I held the mic on a boom arm or positioned it a few feet away from the subjects it should work fine? If NOT, are there any other recommendations of microphones that could double for both of my use cases, or would it be better off to get a Mod Mic and then a shotgun mic?
  10. Hey guys, looking at the AT-2020 microphone. Was just wondering if it is possible to get the XLR version, and then get a XLR to USB converter so that I can use it as a USB mic? Cheers.
  11. Haha, I tried~ the family wasn't to keen!
  12. Hi, I'm currently facing an issue. Not really a fan of Wi-Fi, especially not for my gaming PC. My current situation at home is that I have a modem downstairs. My PC is upstairs (and cannot be moved downstairs). I need a way to get an ethernet connection up there. I've tried power line, however I'm having issues with drop outs. Can I purchase a repeater or something (that picks up the Wi-Fi connection, and then connects it via ethernet to my PC)? Can I have an ethernet connection point placed upstairs (that is connected to my modem downstairs)? Thanks for all answers.
  13. Just picked up a ROG Swift~ absolutely love it. Besides from GSYNC, playing CS and WoW @1440P @144HZ is just amazing- it really adds a new feel to your games.
