  1. already attempted to no avail suppose I'll just leave it unplugged overnight and see what happens in the morning. thanks!
  2. USB ports have power but unable to boot up. is my paperweight screwed?
  3. yeah, was switching out from a aio to an air cooler. will try your suggestion once I get home. hopefully I can manage luckily it was only overflow along the perimeter of the cpu tray, i goofed and the coffee filter got caught under a few pins as I was lifting away.
  4. so uhh.. accidentally bent a few pins trying to clean off excess thermal paste (pls no judgement) with a steady hand and the macro lens on my phone, managed to set them back in place without the cooler block mb detects cpu and loads bios with cooler block, everything lights up but no display. could i have missed a few pins and its causing a short? tldr; did i just create a $600 paperweight?
  5. I'm aware it only has one single dimm slot and maxes out at 8gb. would this be compatible with the x240? Kingston Technology HyperX Impact Black 8GB 2133MHz DDR3L 1.35V Laptop Memory (HX321LS11IB2/8) https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Technology-HyperX-2133MHz-HX321LS11IB2/dp/B00UVOVV12 or should I just call it a day and go with this? Samsung original 8GB (1 x 8GB) 204-pin SODIMM, DDR3 PC3L-12800, 1600MHz https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-original-204-pin-PC3L-12800-1600MHz/dp/B00I21G832/ Also noticed it has an empty mSata slot, should I bother filling it as the boot drive or just swap out the HDD for an SSD? thanks!
  6. are you able to find the local number and call that instead?

boo boo u must be from the future cause its still FRI/10AM PST .. wan show isnt going live for another 7 hours
  11. now this makes sense, thanks! I'll schedule an appointment when they send formal notice. Fairly sure I found the culprit, I disconnected a DTA box that was in the guest room that was using a satellite coax. Nobody uses the tv so I'll be returning the box back to comcast
  12. I never requested a tech and my neighbors have no issues with their connection. I arrived home at 6:30AM as the tech was leaving, I made small talk and went inside then noticed the internet was down. Before I could flag him down he already left. Called support and they didn't give me a clear answer other than wasting my time "troubleshooting" 2 hours on the phone before scheduling a tech to come between 3-6pm. Would you want a complete stranger in your home? Its not that I have something to hide or that I am "afraid" they'll see something. If its not necessary I reserve my right for privacy. They ran brand new lines when I closed 10+ years ago, the panel is outdoors. So tell me, what are they inspecting?
