Just want to put an update here.
The x99e-itx works perfectly fine with 2x32gb DDR4 2133mhz samsung rams that i tested.
next stop are the 2x 64gb ddr4 LRDIMM modules

Just wanted to update you guys.
I did a comparison. The cryorig works just abit better than the noctua. But not by much.
The noctua is much thinner. and runs alot quieter too under heavy load.
Both still supports 4690k . even lightly overclocked @1.15v if you dont mind the fan running bit loud.

I have owned all of the said cases and more actually.
Other overhanging PSU designs like the SG05 or SG13 are reversible as to initake from inside or outside and  taking air from the mobo area actually helps he airflow since OP is going with an AIO. I have tested this exact build with an overclock 5820k. Im sure pictures are somewhere on the LTT forums.

The FT series are bit of a pain in the ass to work with and still have a lot of space wasted.
both FTZ, node202 and RVZ01 cant handle AIO, not easily atleast, and they are alot bigger than the SG series.

Dear OP, for your build i recommend the SG13 if you are willing to do bit of work, just dont put the HDD mounting plate in, and use the under motherboard SSD mount or just slap it on/beside the psu or something.
If you use a PSU where the modular headers are more on one side (example seasonic 860), you can also fit the HDD in there. it will be resting in the top side frame and above the bundle of modular cables.

Its quite bit of work, but it will be one heck of a small brick thats full of powaaa.
or u can get an SFX PSU, and have no trouble at all

note:i had to use big ass psu, due to 5280k+r9 390x (needs a case mod to fit).
For you an SFX psu is better. ST450 will allow easy installation of your HDD. ST500-L might be a little cramped still. Both have enough juice to power your system safely.

For more powaa, get the asrock x99e-itx.

Just hit me up if you need help.

Your PC is already good bro
Yeah PSU is bit sketchy but if its working for 3 years already. should be fine, you probably have a stable electricity supply
Yeah AA loves RAM and Threads. its really up to you up upgrade or not, but i dont think its worth it unless you are dealing with really massive stuff or find a great deal for a used 4790k.

Overall its good enough and any worthwhile upgrade is gonna cost alot.
a second SSD for scratch might be helpful, maybe.

Yes i have 480 4gb, 470 4gb , 1060 3gb and an older 390x and 970 on hand right now. the 1060 is running stable 1900 on stock volts. i have seen some push beyond 2000. My rx480 isnt OCing so well. +120 ish. but the 470 is OCing much better. Its pretty much caught up with the 480.

AMDs can OC, but u need to be lucky. Nvidia chips tend to be better at OCing in general. From my experiance atleast, and i fix, test broken GPUs for a living haha.

Nothing outside the advertised clock speeds are guaranteed. but if u wanna take a bet, nvidia will OC more, atleast for now. I love how AMD drivers matures better tho  RIP old Nvidia GPUs

Note: increment by MHz doesnt tell much. % increment is more important, thus a small + on AMD cards result in much better gain.

It would be an amusing video  I dont think it will matter much as design plays a bigger factor in coolers and people wont be able to replicate the benefits of using metals with higher conductivity.

But it will be an amusing video. Just needs a big ass disclaimer to avoid misinformed people

General rule of thumb for BIOS updates is that if there's nothing wrong, don't update (unless there's a specific features you want from the update). There's always a certain risk when updating a BIOS.

rafazafar got a reaction from TheNuzziNuzz in What SSD should I get?
You can do a migration first. If its not stable or somthing, then do a windows reset. If still not ok, then do a fresh install.

    Suggested setup:
Disk 1: 240GB+ Sata SSD  - OS and Applications
Disk 2 :120GB 840 Evo - Temporary work files and scratch
    Disk 3 : Archive HDD - Storage

This way theres no need to partition or anything

ps. Update your 840 Evo firmware if you havent.

Yeah.. HP.. shit consumer series since ever, but its not as bad as before, but they bogged down thier TB3 ports. seesh. Need to be gentle with it.
But for OP who wants light gaming, looks, portability and power it its bit unfair to pay as much for the older 7559.i
Hes still learning, this isnt for work as well so cant be too expensive. if the 7559 was 30% cheaper perfect. but its very pricey still over there.

@keavla Ill have to take a look again at what available in your market. will take a while.

good price good spec, only problem is its heavy.

Its still hard for me to recommend you a quadcore over a mobile chip. really depends on how much you are going to move around and such. Needs more info on how you will be using it

I connected it to my molex connector. The yellow is +12V. If you are using that controller u can also use the red cable +5V, since it accepts a wide range of voltage.
You theoretically can connect it to your fan header but i do not recommend as we risk overloading it.
Just ask someone to help you solder a random molex connector to the LED controller.
Black goes to black, red goes to red/yellow.

If you are not confident with doing that. Use the NZXT led kits. They arent RGB tho. just one colour.
But its much easier to install. same price.
