  1. Yes either get 7800X3D or 14900K/KS for maximum gaming
  2. Also: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_x470-features.pdf?v=0e8ae085173b678bf66619b8df5071f1
  3. Flash again with USB flash. Remember to format drive to FAT32. Be advised, theres different revisions of this board: Pay attention to Agesa version and only update to one version over what you got. I can recommend BIOS version 16c. Remove all USB and SATA drives before flashing.
  4. You can use both. 360 will be better of course and you'll be able to run lower fan speeds. Any of the two will work well.
  5. Can't see any specs on the riser cable, but why wouldn't it work? Might only be PCI-e 3.0, but that wouldn't make much difference with 7900XTX anyway
  6. Yes consider using real thermal paste instead, it's much better.
  7. Buy a new charging port and replace it inside the plastic housing. Desolder the old connector bridges and solder on the new port. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126284114982?itmmeta=01HV8XXFX08PW2KSHVHCEJMY1Z&hash=item1d671eac26:g:yiwAAOSwtT1gYYCw&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4G2rFW9ZPezDLCy4Zbx%2FtzIzvgl9rzRHbkWMGenkfenjT8ejVdIh9u3g2evQ7lmW5S5FFEX%2F8uMTgvF6NRxh3j%2B4Wy9o1zDF8BzU4WMdCBWYUprOZ5RGsjfYEp24CJ8%2FxpZbPlgOAz3fW2PD6guZM73ctOj4MhoYEVps0nsLn4s60g9GwA781%2BOYZ7oVz7PdxBkgapKF3EYpImbQ9223fJNqe8UjorSXjR3GLqK8h0YI4%2BFp8ToTBJ4Pnu0ypFPNmq6mgNM8%2B%2BfjKi3uvxXlX71pKhq%2BO09V%2F15MCY8KM%2Fuj|tkp%3ABFBM3P71ndpj
  8. 1. Is it though? I like AMD, dont get me wrong. It's not entirely AMD's fault that developers prioritize Nvidia support over AMD. 3. I like Asus Dual cards because they are ultra reliable, also its the first assembly line to use 100% robo automation. And therefore all cards are assembled to perfection, cooler and fans are also decent.
  9. Its fine, and very normal for a lot of coolers. The cores are in the middle anyways: What temps you getting? That CPU isn't very hot if I remember correctly
  10. Nope its the same thing. Just leave it out when checking the other stuff. Usually its enough to leave out for a couple of minutes. Also if you take out the battery you can't short the two pins
  11. When you remove CMOS battery for a little time, you'll clear cmos
  12. Did you clear CMOS before installing the new CPU? Also while resetting CMOS (you can take out CMOS battery), then reseat ram in slot A2 B2 and GPU as well. PSU should be enough. I would guess it something else. Might also want to remove all drives apart from boot drive. Could be the old HDD finally dying or an SSD acting up.
  13. I agree with @manikyath, thats bullshit. Are you in the US? If yes did you use this: https://www.dell.com/support/incidents-online/en-us/srsearch Choose new service request
  14. Turn off and unplug PSU: Remove CMOS battery and leave out until you are done doing checks. Check for dust in the slots. Remove All cables from motherboard. Leave SSD detached. Reseat RAM in slot A2 and B2, make sure no dust cakes in the the slots and connectors are clean. Plug in all power cables and on GPU only plug in a monitor to one port. If you run HDMI on one display use that one.
  15. Nice thank you for sharing! Should work now then. Makes sense that it could be an error with agesa or something, because manual states that M2A, M2B should work with GPU. Also didn't make any sense to me why It would run x1 and not x4/8
  16. Very nice info! Thank you! Will use this next time I have to order putty.
  17. Better driver support 4070. 12gb ram might not really be a concern now, but in the future it might be. Better performance 7800 XT. I would get the Asus Dual instead: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/tXNYcf/asus-dual-oc-radeon-rx-7800-xt-16-gb-video-card-90yv0jj1-m0aa00
  18. PCI-E X16 and M2A, B should run on same lane. Changing to PCi-E 4.0 might help. Idk it you can change if per M.2 slot as well as they also supports PCI-E 5.0. Idk really, because I run AM4, but searching online I see a lot of confusion
  19. Thats true as well. But he says it goes between 1.0 x1 and 4.0 x1
  20. Its interesting how bad this is documented on the AM5 platform. You might be able to change 16x slot to PCI-E 4.0 in BIOS. Also M2A/B to 4.0. Alternatively use M2C, M2D from chipset
  21. Disable XMP. set frequency, dram voltage and primary timings manually Example: 3200 1.35V 16-18-18-18-38
  22. You can check in manual or support website for your motherboard. Example: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B550-AORUS-ELITE-V2-rev-10-11/sp#sp
