Just got a WD Red which is more quiet than greens, check them out. Yes they are NAS designed but work just fine on desktops

Both are useful, but in my opinion you should dedicate your system to one and not do half/half. Any of those types of applications will heat up your room pretty quickly lol. Might do the same actually, kind of cold here

Well done. Now how about you plug in a usb drive from a friend because he has an essay you want, oh his pc is infected and MSE/Malwarebytes wont do shit. You do online banking/ trading and you open one phished link and you're done. You want to dl something but that site you think is legit but was compromised, aaaaand you're done. And ive encountered all those things. If you do nothing serious then you dont need an AV but if you do, then MSE and malware bytes wont do shit -
Lol so you do have no idea how the internet works and all the ways you can get a virus. Leave the condescending attitude, learn the different ways you can get a virus and come back to this thread

If you dont format the hdd at that time, when u are on the OS installed on the SSD, you wont be able to format the HDD, there will be a mechanism protecting the OS on the other system

Yeah u can drive those beasts it in a track but people who do that are less than 0.01% of the population. In general its just an initiative to bring doen CO2 emissions. The emissions from race tracks are negligible when compared to everything else. Plus race tracks bring money and all that, theres no point in killing that

Hello, Looking to buy one 3tb HDD and was wondering whats the difference between the WD Red and WD Green? HDD will be for general storage, maybe a few game installs that dont need the fasted loading. Ive found them at a similar price which is why im even considering the Red. Ive read that the Red is really quiet which i also defo want. Pls dont post the Red isnt supposed to be on a desktop, its an hdd, it can be on a desktop. Thanks
