One last thing to check. Did you try putting the headphones on backwards? That can ensure that it isn't your hearing.

I'd also try it with multiple devices if you can.

Finally, use the tests here to confirm with the above: http://www.audiocheck.net/soundtests_headphones.php

    These headphones are worth exchanging.

I think something like the EVGA 970 superclock would look good with the minimal amount of blue accent. Not too sure about the blue RAM though that might be a bit odd looking since everything else is white and black. maybe a set of black RAM.

yeah most games use less than 4 cores, and the ones that use 8 only use 4 of them intensely, while the other 4 are at less than 50% use
streaming will work perfectly fine on a 8 thread CPU, even better if you use H.264

Nice, only thing I'd do is go for ATX mobo not micro and get a Be quiet! Pure Rock, muc quieter then the 212evo for like $5 more. Other then that likemive said before, ram and SSDs are easy to add a month or two down the road. Something like a whole new PC from the PSU Crapping out or another GPU OR CPU because you got one that's not good enough is not something easy to get.

A 5820k is not needed A 4690kmwill be good for some streaming like you said and the 980 will,do amazing. Plus like I said get a 1x8 kit of ram and if its not enough you can always buy the same stick of ram and just pop it in. Same for a SSD its just as easy as take out the 2.5inch bay, getting the sata and power plugs and plugging it in. Simple things like that can wait. Things like a good mobo or good GPU you misewell get now then later, same with a CPU. Games aren't using the extra cores so why get it?

Never cheap, out on PSUs. They can single handily take, out a whole PC.   I5-4690k is the worth the 980 upgrade. My build i showed you is very nice and save up another $100 and in about a month add a 250gb SSD to,put the OS on and your favorite games. You said a little bit of streaming, if you aren't doing youtube and just at gonna do streaming stick with the i5
