  1. Thanks for the help and yeah that's what I feared. I pretty much only have this one case that has an internal USB3 connector (my old one was an old Bitfenix Shibobi with only USB2.0 connectors) and since the case was not that expensive and I spent a significant amount of time to cable manage this built I think I will just live with it. If I need to connect more USB Devices I will just get a hub, even if its not optimal. Sending it back is not really worth it for me.
  2. Thanks for the idea but it didn't work. I attached a powered USB2 WD HDD and still the same Problem: The device only works on one of the 2 USB slots and this time it didn't even get detected in the Device Manager. I can even feel the HDD rev up when plugged into the port but nothing shows up
  3. How high do your temperatures go? Do they get into the dangerous levels? Graphics cards are made to handle a bit of heat and them heating up is normal when they are under load. Additionally, if you have an unlocked frame rate on the game, the graphics card will shoot up to 100% load instantly in the attempt to give you the most FPS possible so that is also not that uncommon. The whine however could be a problem. If it gets to really annoying levels I think it is reasonable to think about a refund. My MSI 1080ti Gaming X is really quiet and rarely goes over 80°C (176°F) after 2 minutes of 100% load
  4. Hello everyone, Problem: I just built a new system and I have a problem with the front connectors on my bequiet! Pure Base 600. The case has 2 front USB3.0 connectors (both run off one internal connector of course) but they behave very weird. I can use both connectors to run USB3.0 devices like my external HDD just fine (Seagate 4TB, it appears under storage controllers in the device manager and copies at the drives maximum speed), but all my USB2 devices like thumb drives and my wired xbox 360 controller only work on one front port (they show up as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)". I am guessing this is a problem on the motherboard side since the connector itself seems to work fine with USB3.0 devices. I also don't know if there is a problem since the motherboard has two internal USB3.1 (Gen1) connectors but they should be backwards compatible? Solution Approach: The system is as fresh as it can be, all the newest drivers are installed updated the motherboards BIOS to the newest iteration updated all USB Controller Drivers through the Windows Device Manager Tried both internal USB3.1 Headers Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the USB devices drivers throught the Device Manager Windows 10 is up to date (10.0.17134 Build 17134) as of 08/31/2018 System: Windows 10 Pro 64bit bequiet! 5. I thinks the small formfactor and effectiveness would be awesome for when I move to england for a year to study this september. I could literally use and entire wall of my appartment to watch shows and play games.
  6. Oh man the Headset looks awesome. Mine is too uncomfortable for me and these look amazing. Want!
  7. Okay on some games this can be compensated for by adjusting "smoothing" and other options, which emulate the mouse.
  8. Okay I figured out by now that you can turn the controller off manually. I just needed to press the middle button longer than I did. My bad. You have a good point there but what I actually meant was that I want some options to configure how the controller behaves when I am not in BPM. Currently, only Mouse movement and Mouseclicks work outside of BPM.
  9. I just today recieved my Steam Controller and I wrote some feedback which I sent to the official Steam-Hardware-Feedback email adress. I think some if you would be interested, too. I don't know if you can understand what I mean If you haven't used the controller yet so if there are questions please ask me. So here is what I wrote: I use the controller on my 2-monitor setup on my PC (Windows 7) and I want to use it from my bed mostly. I know this is not exactly the intended use but here are my notes on the controller: The positives: Like the layout Nicely manufactured and heavy Feedback on the pads is nice and subtle Setup is easy Nice buttons and triggers Typing is reasonably fast The negatives: Needs a rechargable battery pack of some sort (without buying rechargable AA's on your own) I want to adjust the controller settings for Big Picture Mode, too (not only in-game settings). The controller needs that because controlls are inconsistent across the Steam ecosystem. Why can I only use the right pad as a mouse-cursor in the browser? I want that option in all the other menus, too. Especially scrolling through my games is annoying with the stick. I want the left pad to scroll down like I can in the browser. When I hold my finger down on the pads (in Portal 2 for example) the crosshair vibrates and shifts. This vibrating of the crosshair is too much and options to adjust a threshold on the pads would be nice to make slow movements smoother. It's not obvious how you bring up the keyboard in some situations I want to use the left pad and the stick interchangably (in the Big Picture start menu for example) In Portal 2 have to switch back to the keyboard sometimes. If I adjust the Controller settings and go back to the game, it suddenly uses mouse and keyboard and I have to hit the escape button (and get up from my bed ) to return to the game. This problem ties in to the inconstistency of controlls in the ecosystem I mentioned before. A "Desktop" mode would be nice (even if I have to install an extra driver) where I can bring up the keyboard. After all it's expensive hardware and a bit of extra functionality would be nice. An option to turn off the controller without the Big Picture Mode menu is missing (as far as I can tell) I have some Issues with the BP-mode, too. Especially the browser integration: I can't zoom out enough in the browser. If there is a confirmation window that stays in the middle of the screen (e.g. age confirmation) I can't close it because I am zoomed in too far. Dual monitor setups don't work well because BP-mode does only use one monitor as far as I can tell. In the Browser I can navigate the cursor to my second monitor but only mouse movement and mouseclicks work. I know you are supposed to use the controller in BP mode but then it should stretch over all monitors. I would like to be able to use other browsers. In conclusion I love the hardware but the software makes it hard for me to use. I would use it a lot if it just worked without me needing to change to the keyboard and if the controlls were the same across all of Big Picture mode. Also the Browser needs some work. I hope someone reads this and I didn't just write this wall of text for nothing I'm exited about the next updates to the controller and Big Picture Mode.
  10. I have a Cyborg R.A.T. 7 which is several years old and the coating starts to come off which makes the mouse sticky and unpleasant to look at. I need something new which is not as heavy.
  11. I like the case the most beacause it looks nice and my old BitFenix Shinobi slowly falls apart.
  12. Yeah I like the cards. I think that the lights on the Extreme are a bit too much but luckily you could disable them.
  13. I found Linus in the Old NCIX videos when he had the blonde Hair and watched them for some time because I wanted some recomendation for my own rig. Then I stopped watching for a bit because I thought I didn't need 7 case-unboxings a week. I Started watching you again eventually and found a new company, awesome and diverse videos and one of the best communitys out there. I am glad I came back. Thanks guys
  14. The improved display on the Z2 looks really nice and the customisation options on dbrand are awesome.
  15. I think the keyboard on the G550JK looks really great in the video and maybe even better in person.
