Here's a "buildlog" of my Fortress, but more like a timeline from when I bought it to how it is now. I was upgrading from a Core2Duo 8400 on a Maximus Formula X38 board housed in a CM 690.
 
23 March 2011 New parts: Core i7 2600, Asus P8P67 Pro, 8GB Supertalent 1333Mhz memory. Reused from previous build: GTX 460 OC, Corsair HX620, Scythe Mugen 2, Mushkin Callisto Deluxe 40Gb SSD OS drive and various data drives.

 
29.6.2011 Here I've upgraded to a AX1200 PSU, another GTX 460 OC and a Crucial C300 SSD.

 
16.11.2012 Upgrade time, bought a MSI Z77 M-Power, i7 3770k, Corsair Dominator 2x8Gb 1600Mhz, Corsair H100 cooler and a GTX 680. I had also somewhere inbetween bought a seccond Crucial C300 128GB ssd and have them running in Raid 0.

 
14.4.2013 Bought a seccond GTX 680, installed individually sleeved psu cables from IceModz, sleeved my IO cables and the 120mm fan cable. Also tried painting the letters on the gpu's.


 
17.08.2013 - Installed a windowed side panel, build is now finished.

I've been watching Linus Tech Tips for a very long time now, as I like that sort of thing. Recently my Dell XPS 17 died and, since I have recently acquired an iPad I assumed it would be okay if my next machine wasn't portable, and save a bit of money that way. Thing is though, while there are many cases available on the market, there aren't many that I like that are, well, affordable for me. I built a system inside an Antec 300 for my brother once and that is a nice case, but it's very open and lets a lot of noise out. Seeing as an off-the shelf solution wasn't really what I wanted, I turned to Inkscape to draw up some plans and plan to have it laser cut at my local FabLab. Today I went to get the first few pieces cut, so I thought it'd be nice to share how the build goes along. Also, plans will be made available if everything fits properly, so if you like it and want one for yourself, you can just grab these and have one made.
 
I've testfitted the pieces I already have together, so the internal layout is already somewhat recognizeable.
 
 

I love seeing these Prodigy custom cooling builds, probably because I want one! :-)

I bought deionised water at my local pharmacy, been using it with mayhems pastel concentrate for about 8 months now without any problems.

Well I've wanted to change my HTPC case for a while now and used my birthday as an excuse to go for it.
The case is a Streacom F1C EVO, Wesena makes them for Streacom and also sell them under their on name, or they used to.
What I ordered was the case, a 150w pico psu and remote set with the internar sensor.
Hardware is a Asus E35M1-I Deluxe motherboard with an onboard APU, 2x2GB Mushkin memory, 40GB Muskin Deluxe SSD and in the end a Corsair AF120 QE.
I really should have ordered a short sata cable and a 40mm fan also to move air through the case since after running it for an hour completely fanless temps where up to 70° on CPU and 80° on GPU, celcius.
The Corsair fan manages to keep temps within a resonable range while watching 1080p movies in XBMC but it isn't pulling in fresh air so temps remain a bit high.
I plan to upgrade to Haswell when it launches and probably use the Noctua NH-L9i cooler, I'll also buy a 40mm case fan after the weekend, hopefully temps will drop when I get airflow through the case.

A litle bit of a size difference between this case and the Antec Fusion Remote that used to be there...
 
The case is amazingly well constructed, quite happy with the purchase.
I must say that this motherboard combo really doesn't work in such a small case, I will test it with only a 40mm case fan when I get one but I don't have high hopes.
I've seen threads where people are running i7's in this case with the noctua heatsink and a 40mm case fan and get quite acceptable temps.
The build is really messy right now but I'll be able to cleen it up alot when I move to Haswell, then I'll also be able to install a slim bluray drive.

Until before summer i had a big ass custom liquid cooled PC. It was built into a Corsair 800D, which is a pretty darn big case and a pain to move for LAN’s etc. This was my first pc with liquid cooling, and the end result looked like this:
 

 
That PC is now not mine anymore, and im using a spare pc untill i figure out exactly what to get for my upcoming pc.
 
Because, unlike my old pc, my new pc is going to be very small, as i've had enough of the big sizes. But that is not going to prevent me from making it water cooled, and (hopefully) nice looking.
 
 
And now to the new upcoming system..

Cooling:
Swiftech Apogee Drive II for the CPU - I chose this because its a combination with pump and block in one unit, to use less space.
Heatkiller GPU-X³ GTX 780 / Titan "Hole Edition" Ni-Bl for the GPU.
Alphacool NexXxos Monsta 120mm
 
This is all the cooling parts i have ordered at the moment, but i will need an additional rad i believe to get some better temps.
 
Other than that the Case obviously needs some work to fit this. Because i want to liquid cool both CPU and GPU i will need at least 2x 120mm rads, which is what im gonna go for. The case has out-of-the-box support for a single 120mm rad at the bottom in front of the PSU which is where i will have to place the Monsta. Some work is needed here though too for it to fit. Im also gonna have to drill a hole on the front just below the graphics card, to fit the second rad. According to what i have measured, it can just fit exactly!
 
My plan is also to sleeve the cables in red sleeve, which is going to be the main color theme of the build along with black. I have ordered this too from Nils at MDPC-X Sleeving
 
All the parts have already been ordered, and the mail man is the only one im waiting for before i can begin the installation and modification of the case
 
I expect to get the parts tommorow and the first things to do will be to sleeve the PSU as the i cannot begin the work on the case before next week.

If it means more indepth videos about computer hardware, I'm all for it.
If it means more phone/watch/gadget reviews, I'm all against it.
 
I personally started watching your channel because it was about computer hardware, some you just unboxed and some you reviewed, and I always wished you'd do more hardware reviews.
That being said, the past year you have been bringing more phone and gadget stuff into the channel, with the cost of less computer hardware videos, and that's something I feel is bad.
 
So I hope you're doing this to make more time for detailed computer hardware vids and not phone/gadget reviews, because I'll probably unsub if those become the more dominant videos on your channel.

I have a windowed sidepanel from a Raven02 but I have to replace the plexi, install some sound deadening foam and give it a bit of a shine before I start using it.
