    Boby got a reaction from Khiss in Does GTX has a meaning?
    This names comes from the Texels fill rate / Texels per second. Nvidia GPU's are the first to brake the Giga Texel per second and this was indicated with the GT.
    VooDoo 2 for example could reach theoretical maximum of 180 Mega Texels per second.

    TNT = Twin Texel (Riva TNT)
    MX = Milion/Mega Texel (geforce 4 MX)
    GT = Giga Texel
    GTS = Giga Texel Shader
    GTX = Giga Texel Shader eXtreme
    RTX = Ray Tracing Texel eXtreme

    There was article about that names in 2000 on nVidia website, but does not exist anymore.
    For example
    GTX 1060 (pascal) has 120.5 Gigatexels/sec
    GTX 2060 (turing) has 224.4 Gigatexels/sec

    More info on what is Texel here = https://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/1747-what-is-texture-fill-rate-defined

    All TT cases  with aRGB controller sucks. They dont stated anywhere that RPM is fixed, so they basically scam people, cause i will never buy jet engine case!!! I wrote 10 times to TT asking for addiotional fan controller for free cause i didnt find on their product page info about fixed rpm. They ofc ignored my mails. So i decided to reach as much relevant youtubers as possible, so they can mention this major flaw in their videos!!! People should avoid this new series of aRGB TT cases as plague. Im hoping my voice will spread just as little to make some people dont buy this shit of a cases. Best regard.

    Enough cooling doesn't necessarily mean quiet. The 2600 is also easier to cool.
    You can see some comparisons here with the NH-U14S with NF-A15's in push / pull for cooling: https://www.computerbase.de/2019-07/amd-ryzen-3000-test/4/

    I'm going to disagree, the Wraith Stealth isn't great at all. It's actually the LOUDEST component in my system and my temps aren't anything to write home about. The Prism and Spire are good, but the 3600 comes with the stealth cooler and I really don't like it. The wraith stealth is simply too small - its smaller fan requires it to spin faster to move more air and the amount of metal is pretty small. Even the type of metal isn't very ideal. I feel like if it was just a half inch taller and wider in diameter, it would be a quiet stock cooler that couldn't allow the CPU to get over 80C.

    80C without OC at 45 Db noise is not something i call "great" I'm looking something that will keep it in 65C at 35db and 50-70% fan speed at 4.2ghz

    For the CPU and motherboard, at 1440P and 4K at 60HZ there will be absolutely no difference between the 3600 and 3700X in terms of framerate. You will be capped at 60 FPS. At 1080P at high refresh rate, the 3700X would have given you slightly better performance. Go with the 3600 and B450 mobo.

    Go with the RTX 2080. Especially at 4K you need all the GPU power you can get.  I would wait a few weeks until the RTX 2080 Super comes out. Probably will offer better performance for the same price.

    RAM: Stick with the cheaper ram. You won't notice the difference. The performance difference between ram speeds is like 5% at most, and only at high refresh rates. People always hype up RAM speeds, but for 99% of users it makes very little difference, or at least is not worth the cost.

    PSU: 650W will be more than enough. Can you not use the PSU from your current rig?

    Cooler: Those coolers are probably fine, but if you are not OC'ing or using PBO, the stock cooler is likely good enough. If you really want a cooler upgrade, I would get a Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro or a Noctua DH-14 or DH-15 or something. The Coolermaster / Artic are probably fine, but not the best.
    (EDIT: Looked up some benchmarks: The Dark Rock Pro 4 would run you like 5C cooler at slightly lower noise level; The Artic and Coolermaster are not bad though)

    Good luck!

    Not wrong to give no helping hand to a person who needs it. It isn't required by law. Doesn't mean it's correct morally or ethical, that's a total different subject. If you want to label things wrong and right by law, you're going to find yourself in a big bad of hurt.

    It isn't wrong for insurances company to deny you compensation for an injury until you take them to court and prove them liable. Here's a question for you, is it hard for someone to give out a 2 cent information on "pads" size? You're telling me that's liable for a customer to sue Gigabyte? Lol...

    Don't mistake it, it's douche-bag status on what some of these manufacture's are doing. I know this first hand.

    It is well known fact that manufacturers use cheap thermal paste that has around 2 years of life by specification (the warranty period), are you seriously telling me that i should throw out my GPU after two years when warranty expires because of the thermal paste life is over? I said already that the paste was ROCK solid meaning it needed replacement just after 4 years of use. BTW, Microsoft are servicing my 6 years xbox just fine and replace fans and thermal paste just fine.

    Well i disagree with you, and in fact many people disagree with you that's why governments are now pushing the "Right to repair" law everywhere, to force manufacturers provide information about repairs - you can see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronics_right_to_repair.  and https://www.wired.com/story/right-to-repair-security-experts-california/ and https://theecologist.org/2019/jan/21/right-repair-enshrined-eu-law

    You guys don't get it, thermal pads and paste are "consumables" with expiration date, they are meant to be replaced regularly (every 2-4 years), just like the oil in your car, imagine if car manufacturer hides the information of what oil you should use and only change it for you while you are under warranty...

    I have already replaced the pads and paste and its working as new, and yes they are not yet required by law to provide this information, but for me this is bad out of warranty support and i'm disappointed in them as manufacturer. I have the right to be disappointed right?

    I think you still don't gate it first of all, if your car is out of warranty, car manufacturers will still repair it until they make replaceable parts and it is called "serviceable period", which is normally around 20+ years for cars, the difference is, you gonna pay of the repairs when it is out of warranty. In fact VW rebuild my engine on my 14 years old VW golf that was out of warranty, i just had to pay for it. They also sell official repair manuals if you decide to repair it yourself...
    Gigabyte not only does not offer service repairs for its out of warranty products, but they uphold basic information on the "consumable" parts, like i give you the example with the oil, which is shady practice.

    Just wanted the community to know, i needed a simple thermal paste and thermal pads replaced on my GPU (GTX 970), so instead of experimenting my self with the right pads thickness and mw performance, i decided to ask GIGABYTE, what pads and paste should i replace on my GPU, and this is what they answered:
    They also said that they don't sell replacement paste and pads, so basically they say when you are out of warranty, go f....k yourself.
    This is just absurd...

    The G3 from LG is the first phone I've used with a 2560x1440 display. That's a lotta pixels! Not to mention the rest of the top-of-the-range specs!

    Alright, now onto the good stuff. LG is giving us TWENTY FIVE G3's to give away! All you need to do to qualify is post your favourite thing about the G3 from the review above in this thread and you can be selected at random to win one of these phones!

    Please note that they are retail units (in the video I said pre-production, but this has since been changed) and they are Korean unlocked global units, so you will need to verify if they will work correctly on your carrier! To my knowledge they will work on AT&T or T-Mobile, but I got no data - only get voice and SMS on my carrier (Bell) so YMMV.

    Either way you can still enter to win one, and you an always use it as a portable gaming device or whatever... I mean, it's a G3 man! The wifi will work! Best of luck to everyone!
