Hi guys, I need a quick advice please:
so, I need to carry 100-300GB of data from the lab I'm working at, back to home. This only happens once in a while since I mostly work with the same data files, so I though I could just buy a SATA to Usb cable and use the SSD or HDD from my desktop... The thing is the SSD only has 250GB and sometimes I do require a bit over that, and from what I've heard those kind of cables don't work with 3,5' HDDs, only with the smaller ones.
Can you confirm or deny this info?
If the cable solution doesn't work I'll probably just buy an external drive... Are they significantly slower than a regular HDD (if it matters the data is composed of tons of small, few MB, DICOM files)?
Thank you so much, in advance, for your guys' comments
