  1. Hi guys, I need a quick advice please: so, I need to carry 100-300GB of data from the lab I'm working at, back to home. This only happens once in a while since I mostly work with the same data files, so I though I could just buy a SATA to Usb cable and use the SSD or HDD from my desktop... The thing is the SSD only has 250GB and sometimes I do require a bit over that, and from what I've heard those kind of cables don't work with 3,5' HDDs, only with the smaller ones. Can you confirm or deny this info? If the cable solution doesn't work I'll probably just buy an external drive... Are they significantly slower than a regular HDD (if it matters the data is composed of tons of small, few MB, DICOM files)? Thank you so much, in advance, for your guys' comments
  2. Yea, I'll just ignore it . The game looks great anyway
  3. No. Just what it boosts by itself.
  4. With 4xSSAA i noticed not that gpu usage did go to almost 100%. But frame rate drop to around 30
  5. Mine is the redux too. GPU at 1340 mhz though (didn't OC)
  6. 8GB Edit: I mean the game runs fine either way, just not at constant 60fps.
  7. BTW I do have "advanced physics" enabled, whatever that is
  8. God damn 3,5GB! Nah, I'm kidding, I think it's not that. From what I see memory usage sits at around 1,5GB with 2xSSAA
  9. Hi guys, So, lately I've been playing Metro Last Light on my pc (GTX 970, i5 4460) on 60fps steady, everything maxed, AA on 0,5x. When I tryed to put AA to x2 (or even off) the fps droped to around 45, which seems normal. The thing is, as I was running afterburner in the background, I noticed GPU usage was only around 60%... I can't understand why wouldn't the game use more of the GPU, if the frame rate isn't on its max yet. Is it because I'm CPU bottlenecked? Can I bypass the usage lock somehow? Thanks in advance for your replies
  10. For comparison the benchmarks of the WD Black in question: http://www.tweakpc.de/hardware/tests/datenspeicher/seagate_barracuda_xt_western_digital_caviar_black/s08.php
  11. Thanks for the effort. From what it seems yours is quite faster. I think I might skip on the deal and buy a recent HDD instead
  12. Is it faster than an old WD black though?
