Time for my rebuild. I tend to build one every 4-6 years depending on how fast tech is moving. After my huge disaster last august I had to purchase new hardware and this year I decided to do a whole new rebuild. This time around going back to a case and ditching the desk. I’m moving to do all glass tubing this time and trying to keep it super neat.

During the Texas heat it creates a unique airflow by your legs - feels so good 😉

If you mean our subforum, then whole process. Kinda why it's called "logs". We have megathread for showing off completed builds (pc). And for others, suitable subforum for only completed would be fine.

Those are some massive reservoirs. I have one that size in my current rig and it just drinks down coolant like a german during Oktoberfest. In comparison my most recent build for my mom took less than a litre which really surprised me lol. Also interested in how you're planning on making the desk thinner, as I've had a few plans for a desk build myself where I basically switch over to blade-server components (EK server blocks and server PSUs plus a distro panel as my res). GLHF!
As a side note, im pretty jelly of that band saw you got there. I've been looking for a similar or larger band saw (at least 16" throat) myself for a while locally, but haven't been able to find anything that really caught my eye. There was an awesome 1952 Walker Turner MCB1160 that I was really disappointed to learn had already sold 😞

Toasted Waffles got a reaction from BLLDoesTech in Arctic Aurora Mark II
Welcome Back!!!!
I finished the original Arctic Aurora build little over 5 months ago. Go see it here > Click me!!!!!
So why Mark II? I just moved into my new place and had to transport the build over here. Before the move I figured out that I made some very bad design choices. It was insanely hard to drain the loop to move it and the way I put the motherboard in made it even harder to plug stuff in . So Welcome to Mark II - The better designed loop and better layout. Unfortunately I do not have enough money to upgrade to the 2080ti and the new ThreadRipper :(.
Are you ready??? -------- LETS GOOOOOO!!!!!!
Summary of Arctic Aurora.
This is what it looked liked before I drained it :
- You see the cables where a total nightmare...... What in the hell was I thinking????
Pictures of before

Toasted Waffles reacted to Metallus97 in Hard Drive Partitions
WOOOOO wait! Some of them you better leave on there!
For example those 300MB and900MB. Those are system boot and/or EFI partitions. Your EFI/BIOS NEEDS them to boot windows properly

Toasted Waffles reacted to Metallus97 in Hard Drive Partitions
I recomend to not use the Integrated tools for this!
https://www.easeus.com/partition-manager/index.html
use this! The free trail has no time limit and can do everything you need to perform this action.
You can delete D and Recovery (if you dont need to restore it to wat it came with)

When you have that many rads you kinda have too lol. I don't want to go total RGB - I want them running more like a light show with my color theme ;D

Update #5 I think?
I got the monitor stand mounting setup and cut and secured in place today. I also sanded all the wood down a second time and reapplied wood putty to make sure all surfaces are perfectly smoothed. Still waiting on the hardware to arrive to cut the power supply hole and fan holes to make sure I am correct on spacing.
What do you think of it so far?
