For your use case the LG C2 42" would probably be the best choice. You can hardware calibrate it for reference-level SDR color accuracity, which is why it's a popular choice for SDR grading even in the film industry. Plus it'll also allow you to get into HDR grading and color correction. Viewing angles are also better than any IPS or VA monitor you'll find, so your clients can sit next to you and have the same picture quality.
 
One problem is that the out of the box color accuracity isn't the best. But if you do have the tools to calibrate it, it'll be better than any other ICC-dependant monitor.

Have a look at this. You can turn off NCSI and force it to always think it has internet connection but it should never really be broken in the first place.

Make sure you can resolve/browse to http://www.msftncsi.com/ncsi.txt, page just says 'Microsoft NCSI'.

If you dare mod the case, then a 360 in the top and thick 240mm in the front is possible.
 
The problem with the 240 in the top, is that it can't be that thick. So it will be enough, but it'll be much better with having something in the front

I personally use a RM850 watt, which is overkill for my system, however it does mean that even when i game with my machine, the fan never turns on, i love it as it means i can basically turn all my fans off in AI suite and then have no noise from my machine. However that it how I Like it, If the noise doesn't bother you, why waste your money? besides if your other fans are already loud you wont hear the benefit till you replace them, so i would say you are better off doing that and see how load it is after.

It doesn't sound stupid, i asked the same question a while back. Each module will run at 1600 MHz, just don't forget you have to change the profile of the kit in the BIOS to make sure they run at the right speed or you might not be getting the performance you pay for.

Can you not use powerline? when you plug an ethenet into your power socket and use your wires as essentially an ethenet

Well lagging whilst opening files will be a mix of your processor + drive, and looking at it your drive will be slowing things down, i know you only have a 32bit OS, but another thing that will also not be helping is only having 2GB of ram, But you are limited with your OS to a max of 3.5GB. 
 
Not sure of what i can advise to speed things up, not without spending cash to improve things.

Honestly, this is way overkill. Like nearly all of it. I agree with what Sir says above me.
Does your PC case have dust filters? If it does then you could just wipe those down instead of completely air dusting it.
 
As far as I can see you aren't missing anything though, I would suggest Malware Bytes scan, weekly is fine.
 
Monthly chkdsk and scandisk are unnecessary and a waste of time/resources/energy and disk writes. They are not maintenance tools, they are fixing tools.
 
Check cabling? You shouldnt need to ever do this unless you have been messing with something inside your PC. or something isn't working. Same goes for thermal paste. 
 
I'm an IT Technician, and I wish my systems were as maintained as this, but it takes too much time and a lot of it is overkill.
 
TL;DR
Looks good. Don't do these unless necessary - chkdsk/scandisk/reapply thermal paste/check cabling.

Try it the other way around. Put his new GPU in your stable PC. It might be a dead card.

That is normally how tech works, everything refuses to work until you try the obvious and then like magic everything works

No you are perfectly fine to run a USB 2.0 device in a USB 3.0 socket there would be zero problems, it will just run at stander USB 2.0 speed, if it were the other way around, then you could have issues as if you plug a USB 3.0 device into a USB 2.0 socket it runs at lower speeds.

Well I selected the drive but it still didn't work, until I tried it just now and it magically fixed itself

I personally have actually used and paid for display fusion, i can say with a strong level of confidence their service is great, and even if you fresh install windows, if you contact them, they will end your code so you are able to use it on your new pc without having to buy a new licence.

Well Thats good that there is a gain from running the cards, although i know that more FPS is good, think of the cash outlay, is it actually worth it, remember that aside from benching how much of a gain are you really going to see?

Yer i agree with the above, its a very strong card, even with the cooler, so to change that is going to make all the difference, and as someone else said, watercooling will further improve the card!
