  1. Did not have FB or FB Messenger installed it was the "S8 Black AMOLED UX - Icon Pack" it seems
  2. I do not have Facebook or messenger installed though. got a task manager app and only dodgy running one was S8 black which is an icon pack, going to see if that solves it.
  3. Hi All, Struggling to find information on google on how to find which app is pushing ads short of disabling all of them from doing anything, i've updated a load of apps and now i get full screen pop up to install facebook messenger app, same ad all day, did restart the phone and clear all recent apps, it does it intermittently every half hour so... it occurs right when i unlock the device or when using any apps and is severely slashing me off. Is there any quick way to figure out what do i nuke from orbit? edit: remembered to screenshot and attach
  4. Did not realize there were multiple versions, mine allows control via PWM from motherboard, however if speed is set too low it stick to full speed.
  5. Hi All, So I've upgraded to 1700 with gigabyte ax370 gaming 5, as this is a common case and i could not find answer to google thought i'd leave a post here, likely would affect other configurations using this case too. Essentially fan hub keeps going full blast nutter no matter what i did, tried lowering speeds, changing fan headers mostly everything, it just keeps going full blast. Long story short it's due to hub not supporting too low an RPM by the look of it, once i bumped lowest to ~30% on motherboard and disabled "auto-fan stop" it's gone to the nice low RPM and quiet operation. Now i just need to find out how to sync my motherboard and cpu cooler RGBs with the ram RGBs (G skills)... probably will need to wait for an update to get it compatible with gigabyte software or something.
  6. Hello All, Could anyone advise on software that is flexible on hard drive sizes for creating an image of a system and restoring on another identical system. I've tried a good portion of tool in hirens boot cd ending up with a bluescreen or failure when trying to restore the image on another identical laptop or complete failure if hdd size is off. It would need to be imagining tool, as it needs to be flexible on hdd size, like what comes with samsung SSDs to upgrade, which allows for the hdd size to be smaller/larger than source, highly preferable to be able to launch from usb like hirens boot cd though, to restore from image and not from hdd to hdd...
  7. What does it appear as in device manager? Does it actually output video thought the ports on graphics card? if it does and appears on device manager see what driver it uses, try to uninstall it and give it a reboot so windows picks up a default driver
  8. zalman one looks super interesting, however i do not see any relevant reviews around sadly and not sure on clearance. Anyone have/had hands on experience with any of them? Otherwise Nepton it is i guess.
  9. Hello, Following up me returning the Antec 1250 PoS, I believe it'd be better to consult the Internet rather than returning the next one. I should stop trying new things/makes... I've got an H440 by NZXT case, mostly want something sub 80£, however if it is justified would drop more. Would need to be from Amazon as well, as it was bought with the amazing voucher money credit imagination money. Plus prime. Main candidates being https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00QWZIN92/?tag=pcp0f-21 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00Q2Q2BBC/?tag=pcp0f-21 (really don't know as never heard of them, but looks reasonable) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00IH33G5I/?tag=pcp0f-21 (looks ballin, but i do not know about clearance...) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00N93KG4A/?tag=pcp0f-21 (really head runner at this point, CM has been good to me) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00LA77EPQ/?tag=pcp0f-21 (looks very basic?) I could go for a 120mm one, i suppose it would be plenty, have a 6300 FX currently, waiting for Zen to see what that offers before upgrading as intel prices are silly. Also has there been any news on cooler mounting for the new sockets? If it was noctua they would mail the mounts later, but i wouldn't trust other makes that much... if anything i can DIY something anyways...
  10. Well, good to know I'm not missing something. Could swap the fans out, however it really under performs to the reviews etc. Going back to Amazon this. Any thoughts on which to take over this? CM/Zalman/Enermax?
  11. Hello All, After a bit of looking around i bought the antec 1250, over Zalman 3 Max Dual Liquid, CM masterliquid pro 240 and Enermax Liquimax 2 240... Will most likely end up returning this PoS. For short review, fans are noisier than stock fans that came in my nzxt h440, ramp up to very loud when the "coolant" temperature reaches over 38 or so degrees for some reason. oh also the fans start touching somewhere and making grinding noise at higher RPM, not to mention might as well fire up my vacuum cleaner instead, so it's less loud. the mounting is ok, except the little legs on the universal mount (the bracket on block itself moves around, the 4 stubs to screw it down) kept moving away and are really damn hard to move back in place, but just freely move out of place again... rubbish. Software is cringeworthy, Silent and "extreme" modes (one is ok, extreme just maxes out the fans). "Custom" mode allows to set your own fan speed. if i set it to 600RPM it goes to 1100 for some reason, then 800 is actually lower speed than 600. it's completely random and makes no sense, not to mention looks like something made with paint. https://gyazo.com/9bf7636f2ee143bf52a28c37d3c0ba2d One of the two pumps was making a really loud and annoying grinding noise for about an hour after installing as well, now it has stopped, but it is fairly noisy too. Also pumps appear to need fans connected, otherwise they don't move liquid around... ? Whole set up is considerably louder than my cheapo zalman aircooler i had previously, which cost me 15£. Other than it not leaking over my r9 fury nitro and the LED light on the block itself changing color by temperature i am failing to find any positives to this product. I could sleep with the previous cooler in same room, this is far far noisier and i have to shut the PC down. when gaming it gets obnoxiously loud. There is no bloody reason as even with a synthetic stress test CPU does not go over 38C. WTF Antec. Am i missing something? is there software that is not completely broken where i can actually control fan speeds? i could DIY different fans, but really, shouldn't need to right out of the box. Any thoughts? Will most likely return and get CM Master Liquid pro 240 instead... This keeps the CPU cool but god is it disappointing... Cannot recommend not buying this enough.
  12. I'll go with H440 i guess, seems like a nice choice, with better looks and more expandability than define in my eyes. Hopefully wont regret not dropping extra 30quid for the Phanteks.
  13. @ZmesleR it seems to have filters all around? i do really prefer aesthetics of H440. Genuinely dont care or want 5.25" bays, haven't used them since 2002... They just sit there... Seems like a superior option to define S/R5? or am I missing something?
  14. Hmm, i was leaning towards H440. I'm open to other suggestions as well. How about CM master case 5?
  15. Hello guys, Picking out a tower is quite hard apparently, mainly looking at these currently: Mainly i'd like decent access, dust filters, possibly a radiator mount, no/up to 1 5.25" bay, at least 2 2.5" mounts, needs to be full ATX compatible. window would be nice, but prefer foam padding for silence. Also some clearance for gpus (got a lengthy one). Mid tower maybe a full tower, but doubt i have clearance for that at the moment. Currently it's to house FX6300/Asrock extreme 4 970 (fan control is damn horrid on this sadly)/r9 fury nitro and a full sized PSU. until Zen comes out and prices hopefully stop coming from intel's behind. Master case looks cool as well however i'd rather have something clean looking like nzxt or fractal design... ~100£
