  1. Have you taken a look at L1 Techs KVMs? Specifically this one: https://www.store.level1techs.com/products/p/4-port-km-switch-with-usb-32-gen-1-mouse-roaming-function
  2. I don't think that any of their proposed policy changes complies with the spirit of the DMA. I hope that the Commission will fine Apple the full 10% of the total worldwide annual turnover for their malicious compliance. By the way this year is an election year for the European parliament. I encourage all you Europeans out there to write and complain to your representatives, or even call them: https://www.europarl.europa.eu/meps/en/home They usually are more interested in citizens input before elections!
  3. Thanks for this information! I assume that the cold plate is still the same in the Quantum Magnitude models they make today. So EK is probably out of the race... New question: Has anyone experience with the AlphaCool or Watercool Threadripper Blocks ? More specifically these models: https://shop.alphacool.com/en/shop/cpu-water-cooling/intel/12950-alphacool-eisblock-xpx-aurora-pro-acryl-black-digital-rgb https://shop.alphacool.com/en/shop/cpu-water-cooling/intel/13086-alphacool-eisblock-xpx-pro-aurora-full-brass-chrome-digital-rgb?c=1459 https://shop.alphacool.com/en/shop/cpu-water-cooling/intel/12981-alphacool-eisblock-xpx-pro-aurora-light-acryl?c=1459 https://shop.alphacool.com/en/shop/cpu-water-cooling/intel/12936-alphacool-eisblock-xpx-pro-1u?c=1459 https://shop.watercool.de/HEATKILLER-IV-PRO-for-Threadripper-COPPER-NICKEL_1
  4. The PRIME Z690-P D4 board does not have a thunderbolt controller! That is absolutely fine as your board has no thunderbolt controller integrated. As long as there are no warning sign everything looks to be a;right with your drivers!
  5. Your timing is quite bad tbh... The Ryzen 8000 based laptops have only been announced and aren't available, yet. Most Ryzen 7000 base models I know of have iGPUs and the few models with discrete graphics use NVidia. There is one model that might fit your requirements, though: https://www.asus.com/us/laptops/for-gaming/tuf-gaming/asus-tuf-gaming-a16-advantage-edition-2023/
  6. Have you looked at the AMD Framework laptops? https://frame.work/de/en/products/laptop16-amd-7040 https://frame.work/de/en/products/laptop-13-gen-amd
  7. Maybe framework? Not the cheapest but repairable and upgradable.

    Looking for new mic

When i made my suggestions I specifically excluded large-diaphragm mics like the NT1 as they usually pick up more unwanted off axis noise. They also often suffer from a proximity effect. I would suggest you search for vocal demos of the suggested mics on Youtube and chose the model, you like best.

    Looking for new mic

That is already a good mic you have there. If you want to stick with a dynamic mic like the one you have, I would suggest you take a look at the Rode Procaster or the Electro-Voice RE320. If you can get a good deal, the Electro-Voice RE20 would be even better. A bit on the pricey side is also the good old Shure SM7B. My final suggestion is a Sennheiser MKE 600. That one would be perfect if you want to have the greatest distance between you and the mic while still having low ambient sounds.

    Looking for new mic

Well the best microphone for you depends on many factors: First of all do you have a way to provide 48V phantom power to a mic? How noisy is the environment you want to use it in (Clicky keyboard, loud fans, noisy neighbors, etc)? How are you planing to mount the mic? Do you already own mic arm?
  11. All of this point towards a motherboard defect. You could try clearing cmos/ resetting bios to defaults. On thing I would try is using a usb c to micro usb adapter cable and test it with a known working usb 2.0 device (like an arduino board).
  12. Has the USB port never worked or is it a recent failure? Did you get your board second hand or from a reputable retailer? Have you changed settings in the bios? What OS are you using?
  13. The PRIME Z690-P D4 has one rear usb c port and one connector for front panel usb c. My question was which of the two causes you problems.
  14. Do you have problems with your front , rear or both usb c ports?
