  1. I'm a mac user but I have a gaming rig too. 1. Trackpad - Large, smooth, accurate, better than any windows precision trackpad I've tried. Even actuation force no matter where you click thanks to the "force touch" 2. The Ecosystem - If you have an iphone, things like airdrop, imessage (being able to text from your laptop), syncing calendars, photos (though google photos is good if not better), their ecosystem feels very polished, easy, and intuitive. I guess those are the two biggest thing for me.
  2. Ahh I see, yeah notebookcheck has more detailed info, haven't looked at their review.
  3. Source? What are you comparing it to? Based on D2D's video thermal performance is better than it's competitors, he mentions it around the 3:55 mark
  4. @GabrielPlayin Have you considered the Gigabyte Aero 15x? It's better than the GS65, go look up Dave2D's video. The only thing keeping me from buying it is the goddamn Trackpad, how hard is it to use windows precision drivers!!!! I hope they just use the trackpads from the Macbooks.
  5. Yeah if the Trackpad, size, and unibody design is a big deal, then I guess at the moment Razer has no competition. But the WWDC is in a few days and New MBPs are gonna be announced so...... that + External GPU? I might be going this route because the mac ecosystem is so good for day to day usability.
  6. Short answer, probably yes, especially with the 144hz scree. go to notebookcheck.net to compare the 1060 and 1070, they hav not released the Blade 15 full review yet. I'm considering buying the 1070, 144hz version. but as others have said, the CS and QC is making me hold off. they are also out of stock lol.
  7. I'm currently in the same boat, leaning towards the Razer Blade 2018 because of the Trackpad, I don't think either the MSI nor the Gigabyte uses windows precision drivers. Thunderbolt 3 is nice especially if we are expecting next gen GPUs coming soon. Design and finish looks nicer than the competitors, looks the least gamer-y. Still hate the damn logo, idk why razer didn't offer the stealth logo option, or even their text logo. I'm guessing most people that can afford the Blade are working professionals. Price point is higher, though I'm willing to pay a premium for the build quality (Macbook user lol kill me) My biggest concern is the quality control and customer service, just browsing the reddit sub you'll see many horror stories. Though maybe the reddit sample size is too small, and too specific.
  8. So far I can only think of rocket league.
  9. The stealthy looking keyboard is definitely my favourite!
  10. Looking for a laptop for college. the only games I play on my laptop is DOTA2 Had a Surface Pro 3, the form factor is annoying when using it on your lap. currently considering the XPS 13 with the i5 6200U 128GB pci ssd 8GB ram QHD+ non touch @$1260 CAD (10% student discount) anything else I should consider? I haven't used mac in a while but would consider it. I'm out of the loop on macs so I don't know price/performance and which trim to get.

  12. I need a portable projector that fits in a laptop bag, main use would be for be for PPT at business meetings. Budget 300-400 ish, canadian retailers only please! Thanks!
  13. For my sister, she's not an audiophile so I won't care too much about sound quality, as long as it isn't too terrible. Looks are important, preferably blue or white or black or a combination of those three. Right now I'm looking at the logitech UE 4000 $50 Canadian Retailers only please, Thanks!.
  14. I've been using HiSound Audio Wooduo 2 IEMs, they're not very good, fell apart within 4 months, looking to get a new iem from NCIX or any canadian retailers. I use them mainly for working out, running and transit. Keep it around $150 pls. Thanks!
