I plan to wipe One UI off the phone anyways and put lineageOS on it but the Out Of the Box Experience for normie users is an insult to Samsung's customers.

What a disgusting thing to put on your phone. Does Samsung have no shame?

Don't worry, it'll install some shit after there's a software update to the phone.

If some of the apps can't be installed, I just put them into a "Useless" folder and never look at it. Of course disable all notifications for those too.

  4. So, some thoughts on Amazon Music Unlimited since I started trying it:

    • It really needs an Offline Mode. - Downloading music does exist but there's no mode to force data to not be used.
    • The app is a tiny bit buggy on my OP6. Idk why since Amazon Music is meant to work on non Google Play Services devices (aka Fire tablets). Unless the Amazon App Store version is optimized to remove Google Play Store code?
    • I honestly can't tell the difference between "HD" music quality and the "SD" music quality on my OP6 using either the Sony WF XM3 or my ZS10 Pro X. Idk if I need to use my Fiio K3 DAC AMP to notice the difference or not. Perhaps the OP6 DAC is too weak to output the difference.
    • Amazon Music's lyrics feature is much better than Spotify's lyrics feature.
    • Amazon Music's X Ray feature is kinda cool and similar to Spotify's Genius integration.
    • I would like a Linux desktop app but it's not super important. I'm fine using it in Firefox. The Amazon Music web player is fully functional.

Amazon has also taken the opportunity to increase the price for non Prime Members to £10.99 which is now the same as YouTube Music, Apple Music, and Spotify. It seems the music streaming mafia has decided that the price needs to increase to £10.99 per month.

The prime member price is still £8.99 which is dope and means I'm now saving even more money with prime.

  6. They nerfed my favourite overpowered SMG (AKS-74U) 😞.

They got rid of the heavy barrel 😢 which did 56 damage. Normal does only 46. Normal suppressor does 41 and wrapped does 46 with reduced projectile velocity.

got an underwhelming raise of 15%. time for job…

Unless OP's position has gone from having some experience to becoming more experienced/mastering a role. In which case 15% may not be desirable if a larger amount was promised by OP's employer.
  8. Tbh I'm not sure I'd trust the seller's description of how much it's been used unless you personally know the seller. If the 6800XT is brand new, I'd pick that.

    Why is 15% underwhelming?
  11. They didn't introduce it at that time. 6900XT/6950XT was sufficient. What do you want AMD to do? Given that there are expected to be 6 GPUs in AMD's desktop RDNA lineup, what would you call them? 7900XTX -> 7900 7900XT -> 7800 7900 GRE -> 7700 7800 -> 7600 7700 -> 7500 7600 8GB -> 7400 8GB But then what if AMD had a complete lineup? It would be an even bigger mess. 7900XTX -> 7900 7900XT -> 7800 7900 GRE -> 7700 7800XT -> 7600 7800 -> 7500 7700XT -> 7400 7700 -> 7300 7600 16GB -> 7200 16GB 7600 8GB -> 7200 8GB 7500XT -> 7100 7500 -> 7000 This is even more confusing. Notwithstanding the XT card being called XTX and the non XT card being the XT card and the lower end XLE card being called "GRE", AMD's RDNA3 lineup isn't confusing. Well it's not. The 7900XT acts as the 6950XT replacement. 7900 GRE acts as the 6900XT replacement. Those 2 cards are at different price points with different people buying them.
  12. Well no, the 7900XT should have been called the RX 7900. It's not a 7800XT class product. Well no, because the 7900 GRE would be either A) not launched at all if the 7900XT was called a 7900 or the 7900 GRE would be called a 7800XT in the worst case scenario. Nvidia may be scamming customers but AMD isn't. AMD GPUs aren't significantly overpriced, perhaps they are slightly overpriced but its nothing a minor price adjustment can't fix. The 7900XTX should be $899 The 7900XT should be $699 to $749 The GRE should be $599 The 7800 should launch at $499 The 7700 should launch at $399 And a 7600 16GB, if it were to ever come out, should be between $299 and $329. These are just my opinions, not what's gonna happen. 7800 is planned to be $550 and 7700 is planned to be $450.
  13. Because this isn't a bad name for the GPU. N31 dies being used exclusively in the 7900 series makes sense and is fine. AMD is segmenting the series as needed to offer different tiers of performance and value to different customers who want N31.
  14. Not anymore. Also part of the hatred with 4080 12GB was the confusing name with the 4080 16GB being a totally different GPU with the same name. It was never in the cards to be called a 7800XT. It could maybe have been called a 7800 XTX though that would have been a more silly name than 7900 GRE. x800 class at least for now is becoming fully enabled xY2 where x is the ISA/Architecture codename and Y is the generation within the ISA. The xY1 die seems to be reserved for the x900 series now. And the xY3 die is for the x500 (if AMD decides to launch one in the future) and the x600 series. AMD has different series within a generation of cards and regularly has multiple SKUs within them. Non XT (or in this case GRE) is cut down. XT is usually fully enabled but can sometimes be cut down. And XTX is fully enabled. For revisions or refreshes AMD uses a xx50 naming scheme to note the refresh compared to the xx00 scheme for launch GPUs. E.g. 6600 XT (launch model) and 6650XT (refresh). Where both an XT and a non XT exists, the non XT is a cut down XT. E.g. 6600 was a cut down 6600XT. 6700 was a cut down 6700XT. 6800 was a cut down 6800XT. AMD this generation are launching products to reflect where they exist in the product stack in terms of how far ahead of their predecessors they are. The 7600 is called a 7600 to reflect the nature of its performance and its goal to replace the 6600 and 6600XT GPUs. The 7900 GRE is a replacement for the discounted $650 6900XT and is intended to provide better performance, better perf/dollar, and support for newer features. Anybody who has bought from AMD in the past is aware of the distinction between non XT and XT cards. The XTX is a bit different but it doesn't confuse buyers in any meaningful quantity. The 7900XTX outsells the 7900XT by a large amount owing to its better performance and being a better value than the 7900XT for most of the 7900XT's time on the market. The 7900 GRE is a value Navi 31 GPU. People who want a cut down top die at a cheap price have it now. AMD knows the 7900 GRE will sell well . They don't need to discount the 7900 GRE. The only AMD cards that need discounting right now are the 7900XT to $750 and the 7900XTX to $900. It's been said above by others who have replied to you but essentially 7900 series is N31. 7800 series is fully enabled N32 and 7700 series will be cut down N32. N32 this generation has a substantially higher CU count than N22 and is designed to replace the 6800 and the 6700XT.
  15. No. Uncomfortable in the sense that the 7800 series is wholly distinct from the Navi 31 based 7900 series. We don't know how much supply there is of the 7900 GRE to go around but if there is a limited supply then there wouldn't be any point in calling it a 7800XT. It was expected to be called the RX 7900 but the name change is probably from the pivot towards mainly being targeted for a launch in China. This reduces costs for AMD allowing AMD to make the price cheaper and is a limitation of Navi 32's packaging. Realistically this should have been called an RX 7900 because that is ultimately what it is. There are only 2 further desktop RDNA3 GPUs planned/expected. (Fully enabled N32) N32 XT and N32 XL. N32 XT will be called either the 7800 or 7800 XT and N32 XL will either be called 7700 or 7700 XT. This card is meant to replace the 6900XT cards that have been selling for roughly the same price.

  17. NGL. I don't know if it's because CeX is becoming more popular now but the time it takes for testing is a lot longer than previously if you sell items to them by post and also the time taken to dispatch items they're sending feels a bit longer than before.

  18. Except AMD didn't feel comfortable calling it the 7800XT so it's not. It's the 7900 GRE. What people have been waiting for is the RX 7700 and RX 7800 which is coming later. The 7900 GRE price isn't coming down. RX 7800 expected MSRP is $550. If the 7900 GRE was reduced to $600 it would be wayyy too close to the RX 7800.
  19. With fewer CUs and less VRAM for less money. The packaging design is also cheaper for AMD and it'll be cheaper to design coolers for AIBs since they can recycle their Navi 32 coolers for the 7900 GRE given the same maximum TBP and same packaging. Board partners will have fewer excuses to scalp gamers than they usually do.
  20. No. They cut off some memory controllers out of Navi 31, knocked off some transistors (it seems) and it physically fits and uses Navi 32's packaging with Navi 32's memory controller support. This does use Navi 31 although I'm unsure as to whether they take existing N31 dies and modify them to make this or if they're making N31 dies in 2 sizes now (OG and N31 on N32).
  21. That's not in the TN subforum and not formatted as a TN topic. Therefore I believe this topic is fine to keep here. Mods can merge the other thread with this one if there is a conflict.
  22. Some of y'all have been complaining that there's nothing between a 7600 and a 7900XT in RDNA3 rn. I guess AMD's given you what you wanted?

  23. Summary AMD has launched the Radeon RX 7900 GRE (Golden Rabbit Edition) GPU previously rumoured to be called RX 7900. This GPU features a Navi 31 die on Navi 32's packaging process with a 256 Bit memory bus and 16GB of G6 VRAM. This card has an MSRP of $649. Key specs are as follows: 80 RDNA3 CUs - 5120 Stream Processors 16GB 18Gbps G6 Memory on a 256 bit bus with 4x MCDs along with 2x Dummy MCDs that are there for other reasons. 64MB Infinity Cache 260W TBP The die layout and packaging uses Navi 32's layout with 4 MCDs and the additional memory controllers required to support additional MCDs have been physically fused off at the die level. This GPU features 4 Billion fewer transistors than Navi 31's normal die. (54 Billion vs 58 Billion). It is presently launching in China and seems to also be coming to at least some prebuilts. There is no word yet whether a launch outside of China is to be expected. This is also expected to be the same packaging used on the leaked RX 7900M XT, assuming that laptop OEMs choose to bid on that GPU. Quotes My thoughts I'm not super surprised that this is China exclusive for now however it would be interesting to see if it is launched globally however the limited number of the reject N31 dies may mean this aren't enough for a global launch. The pricing seems to be a bit high tbh though AMD could always correct this later if the RX 7900XT and 7900XTX get prices cuts at the launch of the leaked upcoming RX 7700 and RX 7800 cards. 24. PayPal Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the PayPal

The PayPal compliance department has told me I was wrong and that I needed to fill out a W-8BEN-E form. It is insanely confusing as a form so I asked them what they want me to put on the form. They said they'll call me to tell me what to put on it. Inb4 they just tell me to hire a tax specialist to fill out the form.
