I'm going to take the unpopular opinion that society has a culture of over-punishing rapists and that society is so against rape that it's treated worse than murder.
Honestly, murder is worse than rape and this is just ridiculous that rape is so over-punished.
Also, I love how technically according to the law a woman can't be punished if they rape a man.
Equal rights for women or smh.

I think you're underestimating how traumatic rape or sexual assault can be. It can leave lasting emotional and psychological damage that can take years to heal if ever and can quite easily fuck up any current or future relationship you might have with the opposite sex.
The fact that murder can net you a few years in prison is ridiculous yes but I don't think rape is over punished.
Women can quite easily rape men, older women targeting children or adolescent boys in sexual abuse cases often get off easier which is bullshit.
