Today I managed to lose my s8 in a taxi cab.

Thankfully I was able to get it back with the help of my trusty Samsung Tablet and the Google "Find your Device " app and the cab company although they were rude to me the first couple of times I tried to talk to them when I borrowed somebody else's phone. They did help in the end.

I'm not going to name the cab company because this is very out of character for them and they are usually one of the best around where I am.

But I'm going to give a warning: Don't lose your stuff but if you do then expect to fight tooth and nail to get it back.

If you lose a device and don't actively talk to the the owner of the place it was lost in and annoy them then you're not gonna get it back.

It was on my 3rd call with them that I was able to confirm my device had been found and they were willing to drop it off near somewhere I consider safe and pick it up. Of course they are a business and aren't gonna lose money if they can avoid it  so they charged me for their driver dropping off the device to me at the regular fare rate.

Which is fair enough as otherwise I would have needed a cab to get to their depot and back.
